With the May 15th update just around the corner and land vehicles coming down the pipline for Starfield later in 2024, plus the upcoming Shattered Skies DLC, more and more it looks like Starfield’s comeback story is similar to that of Cyberpunk 2077.

i put alot of hours into starfield staying up playing to 11. and sleeping in. im still loving the game. i cant wait for the update and dlc in the fall.
Hmm. I appreciate your optimism. I just don't have the same confidence. Please do a follow-up video as u see appropriate. Cheers!
I really really wanna buy this game now and try it
But the amount of negativity around the game is makes me question my impulse to play it
I just finished cyberpunk and baldurs gate 3 and almost finished new Vegas and really want something new
I would still like a habitable world that is fully unexplored, nothing on it. Something to actually explore for the Explorers guild to find.
I really want the land vehicle, but I can’t wait that long. I’m jumping back in with you on the 15th and I’m excited about it. Looking forward to your content as well.
Beard looks better
You're play style is just like me 😊
Cyberpunk is a great game now, I wasn't expecting how much fun that one was.
Thank you for your thoughts on the "current" Starfield.
I'm not exactly a fan of Bethesda, but I do own original copies of Skyrim, Fallout 4 (currently on my first-ever survival run), and Starfield, so I am writing my opinion with that "background".
Starfield is a very good game. It could have been great, or even fantastic, but it came out undercooked.
This patch fixes a lot of the issues I had with the game, but the main problem is still there for me: The constant loading screens and therefore breaking of immersion plus the very, very long runs from point A to point B without anything of "value" to entertain me (although the introduction of land vehicles, if done correctly, will massively improve upon this). I hope the expansion/DLC later on will improve and add a lot to the game.
I honestly believe Starfield deserves a "comeback" like No Man's Sky/Cyberpunk 2077.
It is also my opinion that there are many, many players that like/love Starfield and haters are just a loud vocal minority.
I put alot of hours in both games but on launch day Starfield preformed alot better than Cyberpunk, I didnt encounter 1 glitch in it.
I would like to do some of the other stuff like spaceship and outpost building but the grind is so hard to max out skills and I’m an older gamer and don’t really have time for grindy games
If you had told me in 2019 that fallout 76 would still be around in 2024, much less have a million players, I'd have called you crazy. One thing I know about BGS is that they don't quit.
Probably buy it after being convinced by u
Starfield’s always been incredible. The endgame. The fact that you lose all your things and all your money and have to figure it all out again but on a different path is genius and fun as hell. The worst thing about Starfield is getting stuck on everything.Im worried about vehicles.
Starfield is going to win in the long run, the potential for this game is through the roof and I don’t care what people say it was great at launch (at least on my PC)
Cyberpunk made a big mistake launching on old consoles but I think Bethesdas only issue was not having 60FPS on consoles at launch, that makes a huge difference in my opinion
it’s important to remember every Bethesda game has been panned by a large group of people, this time it was highly concentrated because the game was supposed to “save Xbox” so inevitably you’re going to get the unhinged comments
If they are mining their Discord, they have tons of good ideas to choose from.
If modders are mining the Discord for ideas, fantastic.
When Cyberpunk launched, I set the game aside and waited for the 1.5 update (PC). After that, I was fine with it and it only got better.
I am feeling a little like that with the May update, but land vehicles would have sealed it for me. The difference was I set Cyberpunk aside for a long time. I only set Starfield aside for a few weeks.
I am looking for five more things: Land Vehicles, a working Brig for bounty hunter game play, a working Infirmary and a ship's doctor NPC that can heal you for medical game play, being able to save your ship designs so you don't have to build them from scratch all over again, and more hands-on flight with our ships within a solar system.
I don't expect a huge reduction in loading screens or a smooth transition from space to atmosphere. They really don't bother me.
It would be great if they could pull that off, but I am looking more for the other things I have mentioned.
"NO THANKS, never play again, The biggest scam and disappointment in my life as a gamer, was you, in my 25 years playing video games I have never felt as much hate as I feel you. It's a waste of time downloading it again, I can assure you that if I go in again I shoot the water and it remains static, even a game from the year 2000 has better physics" –Quoted from Cyberpunk comments.
That's what they were saying about Cyberpunk 2077 two years ago.
I think Starfield will be okay.
200 hours of play time and three play throughs. I really enjoyed that game a lot and I still have some factions to finish or see for the first time. The modular difficulty settings are very appealing to me and DLSS 3 makes it run like butter on my PC. Land vehicles will be the biggest game changer imo, especially if there is a degree of customization there. I was always ok with most planets being empty, because it was made abundantly clear before launch that those are just bonus areas to farm mats and build outposts. However, there are some quests there and completing those on foot drags terribly. Land vehicles change that.
One of the biggest differences between cyberpunk and starfield is the stealth and Ai. BGS has to fix it because it’s terrible it makes no sense how enemies know where I am yet I have a suppressor lol
What I find funny is that people hating on Starfield now actually adore CP2077 yet seem to completely forget how broken it came out even though Starfield came out nowhere near that broken.
