  1. As some people is only watching a few seconds of the video, I didn't turn it on right away so you could compare the performance on normal RT and new Overdrive Mode.
    Skip to 1:52 for new RT mode.

  2. Huh you know I am impress the 3080 can handle the overdrive ray trace alot of people seem to be worries that it could not handle it and you needed 3090 or 4090 but this is pretty good, while I will admit from the 4090 it really ups the graphic this is still able to show people what the feature is meant to show.

  3. I being a gaming enthusiast have just yesterday recently bought an ultimate Desktop Gaming PC , featuring Z690 AORUS Elite DDR4 motherboard, INTEL I9 13900K 32 Cores 36 MB 13th generation processor , ASUS ROG STRIX RTX3080 10 GB, CORSAIR VENGEANCE® RGB PRO 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 DRAM 3600MHz C18 Memory Kit . AORUS P850W 80+ GOLD Modular, AA Tigers Alpha Trion Black-White gaming case, AORUS LIQUID COOLER 360, CADEVE Keyboard, CORSAIR Mouse and EASE LED with 165.HZ display and 1440P.

    Is the above given configuration / settings enough to play it at overdrive full path tracing settings for 30 fps only at 1440P?

    An early response is appreciated

    Thanks !!!

  4. The goose is cooked for RTX 3080 no matter how hard you try to readjust her to the new path traced reality. I myself have Asus tuf OC version and can confirm that this lady has seen her better days, now the time has come for glorious 4080/90 series to shine for a while.

  5. I really impressed with the performance.
    I thought the FPS would be miles worse even with DLSS.
    I think that with some tweaking you can reach a stable 50+ FPS maybe even more.

  6. Thanks for the comparison video! Dont really think it's worth for me to come back to this game just yet, perhaps next year when i upgrade to a better gpu with dlss 3 or something even better.

  7. Got my strix 3080 (OC'ed at (+75MHZ) to boost clock on OC mode (1935MHZ +75MHZ) and max power limit oc at 120%. Coupled with 13700K/32GB DDR5 6000 MHZ and tweaked graphics/video settings in game I'm getting an average FPS of 52 FPS in the in game benchmark scene. Am also using RT Overdrive/ Path Tracing mods from nexus, which is boosting FPS by about 20-25% and completely removing any stutter @2560x1440p (looks fine on my uw qhd)

    Will let y'all know re performance in game. If I hit this FPS range, I'll be VERY happy.

    btw,
    Quick preset = Ultra (motion blur to low)
    DLSS = Balanced
    Scale = .15

    Ray Tracing = On
    Ray Traced Reflections = On
    Ray Traced Sun Shadows = On
    Ray Traced Local Shadows = On
    Ray Traced Lighting = Ultra
    Path Tracing = On
