GTA V: 7 years( full development lasted approximately three years)
RDR2: 8 Years
Rockstar in 9th gen: GTA Enhanced for 9th gen consoles(grab so much money
just to let people play on the 9th gen consoles! (

If anybody is wondering why rdr2s glass shattering is less satisfying than gta5s , it's because the bullets where thick and deadlier during the wildwest periods and we're manufactured for instant kill.
Physics, interaction and environment in rdr2 is an upgraded version of gta 5.
