Reboot game or visit main menu when trying dynamic resolution. Fixes flickering
You're a vampire!
You are not going to see any reflections for first person characters any time soon. The performance hit of raytracing is high enough as it is.
i like lighting rt effect (like minecraft or dirt5) , but i think we only see it at night , reflections: i can go with rasterized "reflections"… so it's been months i finished this "game" in 15h without any pleasure (in fact this game is about fighting bugs , didn't see any rpg (no gameplay encouraging to evolve etc) or fps even the story is so poor , keanu reeves was just here to make the hype , his role is so insignificant ), is it at least playable now? ( are the bosses working now or a they still stuck in walls so that there is no challenge ?) , not i will play it again, but just wondering , this is the biggest scam of christmas 2020…(also biggest pc game scam i have ever seen i think)
Ray tracing is a big distraction, pretty sure majority of gamers with ray tracing capable cards turn it off in game – it's cool but definitely not worth the hype it gets… better game AI > better games graphics
Great video – I didn’t know that they enabled ray tracing for this game. I’ll give it a try on my 6800 XT.
Cdpr: "Don't worry, you can still see your character through mirrors."
The mirrors in the game: 3:46
I like that they don't even dare switch Ray tracing to psycho, my 3080 handles that fine, almost always over 60fps
i was tempted to get liquid devil
Annoying that same character walking by over and over, feels cheap!
Some of us use GPU's to accelerate our scientific computing, 3D CFD fluid dynamics and chemical kinetics.
I can see navi33/rx7700xt to be similar with 6900xt in the future
This is only good as 1080p raytracing gpu but a superb 4k gaming gpu
Does your average viewer care for a 2000$ card performance figures.
There is a mod to add reflections of your character btw
Doesn't it just bugs you that RT setting is always on or off without any way to change how they perform. I would settle for lower res RT reflection if it mean I get 30% more fps or how about RT lightning that shows only light near you and not 1000 meter away in game causing huge dips having it on.
Why use a broken game like cyberpunk 2077. Why not Control? Isn't that supposed to be the benchmark for Raytracing right now?
Holy performance hit 😬
Yeah that ray-tracing is really wroth it. A 65% FPS hit for some weak visual differences, reflections being the only thing that's the most noticeable on a card that costs more than a grand. That's a premium experience right there *sarcasm*.
Should have set RT lightning to ultra and see single digits 😀
why Keith why? I got a UW 34 inch 1440p 2k monitor! 1080p is not cutting it! sarcasm LOL
acab at the end, nice
Eh. This going to be terrible on anything bigger than a phone. I have a 3090 and it's much faster than this, but I still keep going back to RT off because it's too slow. DLSS doesn't look good in person, at least in Cyberpunk. So no help there either. DLSS quality + RT on is also still slower than pure RTX off. Maybe in two or three more generations, RT will be sweet.
What about amd vs RTX 3080 ou 3090? ID like to see witch performs the best.
wow performance tanked with this MSRP $1,000 GPU. My 3080 is boss frames! Ultra maxed still 60+ FPS and that's at 3440x1440p ultrawide.
Can someone run a comparison of AMD 6000 series and nvidia's 2000 series so we have first gen ray tracing versus first gen ray tracing I'd be interested to see the differences there
Remember when everyone was bitching about the performance hit of the RTX 20xx? Definitely not was bad as …this.
Raytraced ambient occlusion more important than reflections in this game? I strongly disagree… You've said yourself the game has a nice ambient occlusion already. But the default reflections are terrible, if you move up the camera they go away, if you look close to cars and buildings there's a crazy pixelated and inaccurate reflections all over the place. raytraced reflections fix all these issues so its by far the most important rtx setting in this game.
Iv always noticed reflections making a massive visual change for me, clothing, water (puddles when driving at night) seem to make the game look so much better for me.
shadows i hardly notice.
lighting i notice at times but not not all the time, kind of odd how at time's it makes a real nice change and at time's it's hard to even notice. The intro cutscenes in cars i relay notice lighting and in buildings, less outside in day but at night you can kind of see it with the neon lights.
Wish there was an option to have lighting on in cutscene and off in gameplay.
my 3060 TI hits about 50-60FPS ish with ray tracing on upscaled from 720p with DLLS thing
Rofl ray tracing on amd gone 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I've been waiting and waiting for this, but there's been no info out there about when it was coming. I don't know why I've been so anxious about it though. I tried Cyberpunk with ray tracing on my 2080Ti then immediately turned it back off after confirming the small difference in image quality wasn't worth the large hit to performance, just like in every other game. I'm not expecting anything different with my 6900XT other than an even greater performance hit, but I still want fiddle with it a little.
Is SAM on or off?
Great video. I was waiting for this for a long time. Now going to test this myself.
We know AMD held back RT support as it would have killed sales. If you want a next gen card, you still have to go Nvidia.
Now play it with a cheaper card, a 3080 with SSR off, RT Psycho and DLSS Quality.
Subbed to you. Finally someone who tests AMD cards properly.
I have a MSI Gaming X Trio RX 6900XT and a RTX 3090 TUF and I prefer the AMD card. The framepacing issue on Nvidia GPUs is crazy and nobody talks about it.
