Time for our first Phantom Liberty stream after the release of the expansion for Cyberpunk 2077!
Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world RPG that I have co-created. As I love talking about design, storytelling, and psychology in games, I have started streaming on Twitch and discussing it all with my audience.
My goal is to share everything I have learned over a decade in the AAA games industry, openly exchange ideas, explain creative decisions, and encourage the next generation of game designers and storytellers to create.

Pawel, you are one of the main reasons why I gave Cyberpunk 2077 another chance. Wasn't disappointed really. Thanks for the sacrifices the whole team made for the sake of ART. (After PL only thing which complains these days is my CPU though lol)
It was lovely meeting you in London Pawel. Thank you to yourself and the entire CDPR team for working so hard on Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty. You all should be proud. Speaking of Phantom Liberty, it’s such an awesome expansion that i absolutely love, but man that new ending despite being bittersweet, it also like a punch to the gut at the same time haha. Also Johnny saying V’s full name got me 🥲 i’m glad my friendship bar was high enough to get that line. “Goodnight Valerie, today was a good day”
What about FSR3?
Ng+ update 2023-early 2024 would be great
I never thought the game would get a bigger overhaul than patch 1.5. I thought (what we thought would be patch 1.7) would be more or less a continuation of what 1.6 did: adding in one or two big features while polishing up what was already there and throwing in some QOL touches like an improved UI scheme or extra animation here and there.
Patch 2.0 is single-handedly the greatest patch I've ever seen released for free for a single-player game. CDPR made the open world significantly more lively and dangerous, made the crowd pathing and traffic A.I. more immersive, made perks more exciting than I ever thought they'd be, transformed enemy A.I. in such a way that makes me look forward to every NCPD scanner hustle and cyberpsycho encounter so much more now, and made cyberware and gear infinitely more sensible and immersive.
It's a remarkable achievement that they were able to do this while also building a 30-40 hour long expansion (for completionists) that adds a possible new ending and ties in with the main game.
This is a lovely send-off for a game that deserved it.
I'M STILL IN THE CHARACTER CREATOR >o<
I, a professor in the Church of Skeptics, think Phantom Liberty is the best game expansion I've ever played. It makes me very skeptical about the sequel. <3
Incredible work, Pawel. I was crying like a baby at the end of the expansion. The world and all of the characters are so well done, the game feels incredibly palpable and realistic, from the art and music, to the incredible writing and quest design, it truly elevates this to a one of a kind experience. This expansion is a masterpiece!
I just upgraded my whole rig to get enjoy this game in it's fullest. All i wanna know is 4090 shit tier when orion release:P
Great to see you back Pawel!
Thank you for streaming and all the work on Cyberpunk! It's a very important game for me, and I'm happy it finally gets recognition it deserves <3
Can't wait to see your adventures in Dogtown 🙂 Have a great week!
Great to see another Stream you guys Have really improved Cyberpunk loads. Its Great to see those small improvements like Police Ai and The expansion is also great as well.
honestly so happy ur back
I'm taking all the time in the world with Phantom Liberty because one can only experience it once fresh. So far (no spoilers of course), the characters and story are intriguing as always in CDPR games, and it feels like a uniqe mix between Blade Runner, Mad Max, James Bond, Mission Impossible, and other things. The intro with the opening title was extremely exciting, the level design seems to be even more dense and complex than the main game, the new skills are so much fun, the car chases and police now make it a fully-fledged GTA on top of an RPG, and seeing Idris Elba and Keanu Reeves together in a video game is just mind-blowing. And I haven't even mentioned how great the music and the new vehicles are. It's possible that it'll even top Blood and Wine as an expansion for me. The glowing reviews are well deserved from what I can tell so far. It's much better than just okay!
PS: Cyberpunk 2077 is the only video game that doesn't stop feeling completely surreal to me while playing it. Even just walking through Night City and enjoying the atmosphere gives me a never-ending sense of awe. Now I can't imagine what the sequel might be like if the first game in this series is already on such a high level.
Phantom Sasko. Still haven't started PL… Spoilers spoilers everywhere!
are you the one who design the forced stealth mission in the dlc quest line ? that mission was some of the worst design i see in a open world game, force player to play a certain way in a roleplaying game is not good and that mission do not even fit atmosphere of the game at all. People love it when they have multiple ways to finish a mission instead of forcing them to do the one thing that most people do not like
First, good job with Phantom Liberty <3 appreciate your work, my friend :)❤
and will there show up anything more about Mr. Blue Eyes or the Peralez ?
It was unforgettable. Thanks to Pavel and the whole team for such a great game. No one game in the last few years has made me experience as many emotions as Cyberpunk 2077. Phantom Liberty only confirmed this! Again, thank you so much chooms. Much love from Ukraine🫶
Do you have plans to change the reward for saving the president ? 5k is way too little
Well done guys, Phantom Liberty was an incredible gaming experience! The wait for the sequel will be unbearable.
This game + expansion was kurwa next level good Pawel choombattah. This lore is cool and can't wait whats up next with Orion and Mr Blue Eyes.
What a comeback. OMG 🎉
Pawel, My ONLY complaint with CP2077 since the very beginning is how fast levelling up occurs. I've got a map FULL of side gigs, NCPD alerts, etc. and I'm already a super badass and face 0 challenges. I've got all the vehicles, all orange/iconic cyberware and none of the loot adds anything to my character. Don't get me wrong, I like being a super badass but not so early.I'm playing on hard and will give very hard a try but it feels like I have no reason to play though all the miscellaneous side-stuff other than the gigs for the the short stories. I might be looking at this wrong. Hopefully in CP 2 we get a longer more challenging gameplay!
Legend!
Was great meeting you in London Pawel, and I LOVED the expansion, the story, atmosphere, themes, the music, everything was perfect and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time! An enormous thank you to you and the team over at CDPR, can’t wait to see what you cook up next with Orion! All the best
My man doesnt even have the big booty mod or realistic bobs bmod come on pawel! 😀
yaaaay been waiting for this for doo long!!!! lesss gooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2:28:39 No, I did not enjoy the Body Count Lottery text because it's never shown up on multiple playthrough's on Xbox.
I was playing BG3 and missed the stream ;_;
Thanks for the upload! Gonna watch
I’ve always seen the greatness in this game underneath all the hate and technical issues.. all ur hard work has just made it easier for everyone to see what was always there, and the addition of phantom liberty is just the cherry on top for me.. I’ve already got countless hours of enjoyment out of this game and now with PL and the additions/improvements made to the base game with 2.0, here’s to another several hundred hours of cyberpunk ! Thanks pawel and all the devs for sticking with this game, I’ll probably be playing it in some fashion or another until the sequel comes out
I seriously love you man, the passion radiates in everything you do and the team had done an amzing job thank you choom
Really awesome comeback. But i do want to point out one thing. You say we have been hounding you questions about patch 2.0 or 1.7 like 'motherfuckers'. You know why? We trusted you and the hype you created for the base game release and bought it. Like i said all of you did stellar job with 2.0 and PL. But just imagine if you had released 2.0 level game initially. Most of us wouldn't have been 'motherfuckers' about it. Especially seeing how its the norm for AAA games to release shit and then release patches to fix an unfinished product. Sorry for the long rant. 🙂
cyberpunk 2.0 and phantom liberty as a whole package is the definition of what AAA games should be. same goes for bgs3.. if we call other games 3A i would call CP2077 AAAA. If it would've had more 3d person elements it would've reached perfection
Hello, I want to personally ask your company to stop making every DLC about simping for horrible trash human beings. I have seen it from Syanna in Blood and Wine. Now it's Songbird ruined that entire DLC for me. It's no doubt a pattern, and a very strange one at that. That forced ending for not having cyberwares was so cringe especially when you guys made it that V couldn't call his loved ones for a major surgery. Otherwise, loving the gameplay, I like it when your quest design go out from the normal ethics 101, and sometimes you can make the right satisfying choice.
I don't know who's the music composer of cyberpunk, the directed the theme of so mi.
So please do not let the developers get rid of him. He is very talented at the imagination.
