► Cyberpunk 2077 Story Synopsis

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis
obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character’s cyberware, skillset and playstyle, and explore a vast city where the choices you make shape the story and the world around you.

  1. I think you're right – just leaving Judy like that makes V seem like an arse and makes the section feel woefully incomplete. The romance scene, if we're using that euphemism, was top notch, but a nice long talk about their feelings before or after the fact would really elevate it.
It'd kill two birds with one stone – our first visit to Clouds foreshadowed the fact that V's heart's desire is having someone she can be emotionally open to. Just feels like a massive missed opportunity…

    Edit:
Well, I've learned that you can comfort her before you kick off the romance scene, so that smooths out the rough impression I got from this video. Maybe the dialogue at the end is what made the scene feel abrupt. A simple "I need a little bit of space to think all of this over" would've worked better.

  2. Well, it's still fun to see a character asking the protagonist to reveal her true intentions after taking her to bed. It is still interesting to be transparent in this regard.

Unfortunately, in my opinion, I consider dating in the game to be superficial and stationary. There are undoubtedly good times between romantic options, but after "formalizing" the relationship with someone, the tendency is to watch your "better half" basically make a special appearance at the end of the game. This link could favor occasional extra activities (together) and even side quests that could have dramatic consequences on the plot. More than that, it would make this relationship more dynamic and immersive instead of simply reaching a certain "conclusive milestone".

I know that this is not the focus of the game, but since V's private life is an integral part of it, this aspect could be more relevant in the character's daily life.

    *Oh and the joke (dialogue):
V: Its like that joke… knows the one?
    Judy: Ummm, no…?
V: "What do lesbians bring on their second date?" Moving vans. Both.
Judy: Ah–Oh, that one? Vintage as grooners go.

  3. I absolutely loved this quest, probably one of my favourite not just from Cyberpunk, but from my gaming experience in general. Playing as a male V the ending was much more bittersweet and I think it actually added to my enjoyment – when we said our goodbyes on that pier in the morning, I really felt that…

  4. By the way, can anybody tell me what "gonk" and "choom" mean? I couldn't find them in dictionary easily. My best assumptions: "gonk" is a bastard, wretch, and "choom" is a friend, good acquaintance?

  5. I thought it was weird to just leave, but on reflection I think it's not asshole-ish to leave Judy contemplating everything. She made it clear she didn't want to talk about Clouds, the Mox and all, so I take it as V is giving her space and knowing she'll open up when she's ready. Some people like to process things by themselves, and that's okay.

  6. Judy has had too many complicated relationships, Maiko, Evelyn Parker. With male V, by default she leaves Night City and travels around the US and is free and happy.

  8. The joke is that one about lesbians moving too fast. You actually can comfort her first and then start the romance scene. If you say it was just a pleasant distraction, she'll get really upset and leave NC.

  9. Already said it but one of the best scenes in the game, and probably one of the best romance scenes in video games. Don't know why exactly but it feels really intimate, especially the part you put separately, and sensual, plus the music choice and the way Judy looks at you during that scene, it's perfect.
A bit like you, also felt when I played it that the moment you leave her at the end would have needed a couple more lines, not even anything meaningful but just some longer goodbyes and see you soon type of thing, more in line with what just happened.
