Car Modification Shop allows you to mod the engine, ECU, transmission, suspension, tires, brakes & weight reduction. I didn’t go in depth because I’m not feeling well but everything you need to know is on the modder’s page.
“You can upgrade any car from your garage and they will be kept in the save file even if you uninstall the mod and reinstall it later.”

CMS does not modify the look of your vehicle, for that, you can use:
Appearance Menu Mod by MaximiliumM
or
Vehicle Customizer by Lemurlord12
EDIT: After playing around and installing parts from all stages, there was a considerable boost to performance, might be overkill for some but I love it.
