  1. Fun fact: during the heist you can get up to the landing pad of Yorinobu's penthouse and get inside Saburo's AV, there you can read his shard in which he muses over the idea of simply nuking Night City and getting rid of both his impudent son and prevent the relic from falling into undesired hands. However He is persuaded otherwise by Hanako, she persuaded Saburo to give his son 1 more chance. Thus Yorinobu unwittingly saved Night City. This illustrates how much real power Arasaka has over the entire world when a CEO can just casually think about annihilating an entire city like he's wondering about what food to order at a restaurant.

  2. Is your johnny score high to get the secret ending? NOPE!!!! IT IS AMAZBALLS. YOU SHOULD GO TO NEXUS AND DOWNLOAD A SAVE AT IT JUST TO PLAY IT. Also you could load a past save and uh edit it with a trainer from the nexus so your johhny score is high enough to trigger the secret ending. I know its cheatsing but it would just be to see the ending.

  3. My understanding is that Yorinobu and Hanako were raised together, and until they reached adulthood both were sheltered from just how amoral their father and his company were. When Yorinobu turned 21, his father brought him into the loop about his true goals and methods. Yorinobu was disgusted and ran away to found an anti-Arasaka nomad group, which was where was at in his mid-20s, back in 2020.

Like I've said in some past video, he was portrayed in Cyberpunk 2020 as kind of like Japan's answer to Johnny Silverhand, the rallying point for Japanese citizens who were opposed to Arasaka's methods and goals and increasing domination in their country. He was also trying to save his little sister from being corrupted by their father. I have to expect failing so spectacularly for 57 years straight would turn anyone into a cynic, but it's worth keeping who he was in mind during the endgame missions. Adds some context.

  4. Since you were wondering earlier in the playthrough about how the game handles unfaithfulness, the rooftop phonecall scene is where you 'lock in' your romance. If you had also pursued River, that's where you'd choose who to dump – or both if you didn't call anyone.

Unfortunately I thought like you did that there was an 'elegance' in not saying goodbye and actually acted on that – wish the game made it more clear that you're dumping your LI if you don't call them.

  5. 15:30 so, it's been a minute since i last saw these scenes, so looking at them now, several months later, brings a fair bit of perspective.
And holy fuck is Hanako's invitation here fucking terrible. Let's get you, V, a nobody-merc, into Arasaka board meeting to accuse Yorinobu of Saburo's murder with nothing to back it up, and you don't need to worry about Yorinobu getting rid of you right then and there because "just trust me". spoilers for corpo ending below

Like sure, in hindsight we know that Hanako holds a trump card of Saburo's construct close to her chest, but that actually just makes V completely irrelevant. Hanako doesn't need V for anything, and sure V ends up doing most of the work to take Yorinobu down, but that's only because she's the protagonist and the story has to revolve around her.
If we forget that V's the protag, her actual use for Hanako is nonexistent. And that's just scratching the surface here, in-universe at least several weeks must've passed between Saburo's murder and the endings, did Hanako have Saburo's construct this entire time?
…And wait, is it even ever explained how that construct of Saburo came to be in the first place? I genuinely don't remember if it was. Because throughout the game we're told, repeatedly, that constructs are created through Soulkiller, so Saburo's construct existing kind of doesn't gel with the rest of the story.

  6. 30:06 i love (and by that i mean i fucking despise) just how thoroughly unsubtle this game is about this particular ending choice. Fuck whoever wrote that part, sincerily.

  7. The Nomad route feels much more personal with a romanced male V. When I first heard Judy's rooftop phone call, I was disappointed to hear how tame it was in relation to Panam's. I'm sharing this since I figured you wouldn't stumble upon this Male V interactions after finishing Cyberpunk.

Here are some differences in lines with a romanced Panam V:
    Elevator scene
V: What about Panam? She offered to help.
[Johnny kneels in front of V and speaks with an empathetic tone]
Johnny: Listen, I know you and Panam got a thing going. I get, I do. But that's what makes it such a shitty idea. You don't wanna rope her into this. Made the same mistake myself, once.
    (Same dialogue after)

    Panam phone call
    V: I'm callin' Panam.
    Johnny: Panam.
V: Just wanna hear her voice.
Johnny: Sure as hell hope it's that and only that.

    [Panam still sleepy]
    Panam: Mmm, hey…
    V: Panam, hey.
Panam: Do you know what time it is…?
V: Won't keep you long. Just… wanted to hear ya.
Panam: Hmm… You picked an interesting hour for it…
[Panam realizes something is wrong and is immediately alert]
Panam: V? OK, what's going on?
V: Dunno that we'll see each other again.
[Panam is angered by V's response]
Panam: What? You know… fine. Fuck off.
[A panicked V immediately reassures her]
V: No, no, not like that…
    Panam: Make up your mind.
V: somethin'… somethin' I gotta do today. Gonna be high risk, big time. But I have to.
    Panam: What is it?
V: It's not for comms, not really.
Panam: Then shut up and tell me where you are. In the city?
    V: Yeah.
Panam: OK. Then plant your butt somewhere and wait. I'm on my way.
    V: You don't get it, I… I can't wait anymore.
Panam: This has something to do with what you were tellin' me before?
    V: It does.
Panam: We'll I'll say one thing – there's always a way out. Here's what you need to do. You need to take a few deep breaths. Then rethink all of this, hard. And then you can call me back. Do you know why? Because I am here for you.
    V: But–
    [Panam immediately interrupts V]
    Panam: End of discussion.
    [Panam immediately hangs up.]
    Johnny: (sarcastic) Well played.
V: Wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise.
Johnny: Probably for the best. Woulda said too much anyway.
    (Same dialogue after)

    After tarot card reading
    [Panam visibly upset and worried]
Panam: You scared me, you know that?
V: Didn't think anything could scare you.
[Panam collects herself and with a reassuring tone].
Panam: Hey… We're here to help, OK?

  8. Vik saying about pills and smth about "find another way on your own terms".
The World tarot card on top of the roof which says "you can't have it all". What does it mean? You can't choose all options?
37:48 Just noticed what chairs are red and blue like pills you have. WTF so many clues here.

  9. Are you planning on doing any of the multiple endings? They can be super interesting and it would be cool to see your reaction to at least two of the main ones, can't really say more without spoiling stuff though.

  10. Damn, we're in the end game now…I also chose the nomad route, mostly because I wanted to be present and in control in what might have been my final moments and at the same time, I couldn't bring myself to trust Hanako.

  11. Much has been said about the game. But well the good scenes are really good. The writing, the animations, the voice acting (female Vs chilling timbre esp.), Viktor trying not to be sad or affected at all, the low key soundtrack it's just a cinematic experience.

  12. whew, after 120 episodes building up to this tense decision, you had me going for a second! I was worried Velonz was going to revert to her old corpo bootlicker ways. but in terms of the story at least, there is no wrong choice: all the endings are moving in their own way
