  1. While we all wanted to see Ciri in CP2077, if PL is all we're getting then I feel Morgan will appear in it. Mr. Blue Eyes isn't Morgan. It would be great if it were Dick Night or a Rogue AI. Rogue AI is the closest thing to dragons RPers get in CP.

  2. Lmao early. Great vid gato. Hope you're doing better. Blue Eyes being Blackhand I always thought stupid too. Adding, Rogue doesn't recognise Blue Eyes at all. You think she'd recognise her ex output if he walks into her bar.

BE being a copy of Richard though? Very interesting. Considering his widow, Miriam, founded the Night Foundation/Corporation to "carry on his legacy"… And suddenly she's stepped down? Maybe not coincidence. Admittedly I'm more attached to this theory.

  3. It's tempting to try to link every NPC to someone from the lore, but new NPCs will inevitably be created. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. For my part, I don't see the need for BlueEyes to be either Night nor BlackHand.
My impression of all of this is that NightCorp is a safe haven for AIs, and provides them with server space (ultimately, cyberspace and the AIs within it are all software that needs hardware to run on) and dolls so that the AIs can interact with meat space. Where do they get their dolls? Are they clones? It seems that BioTechnica is the only one with viable cloning technology at this point. Are their dolls just gonks they pull off the street? Will Gary the Prophet show up again as a blue-eyed doll in a black suit? Do they simply buy clones from BioTechnica?

  4. I'm leaning towards when meeting Paralez, I think way of talking feels like very different person from Mr Blue eyes. And seeing how he doesn't move I think it's safe to say he's just proxy/controlled. And caller sounds very similar to affected by AI-ish sound likes of Alt has.

  5. I feel like Cyberpunk Orion is going to play a lot like the Witcher; as we could be playing as Morgan Blackhand, CDPR have already proved they can take a well established character and give player agency. Orion means Hunter, and as mentioned in the video Oracle means a medium through whom advice of prophecy was sought from the gods; the connecting syllable in each word being ‘Or’ leaves ‘Ion’ and ‘Acle’, ‘Ion’ meaning any atom or group of atoms that bears one or more positive of negative electrical charges, ‘Acle’ meaning in medical terms at least Acute cutaneous lupus erythematosus which is the most common form of cutaneous lesions of lupus associated with systemic lupus erythematosus, it can predict the recurrence of systemic disease. So the ‘Ion’ can infer the moral ambiguity of the character we will play as, and atoms could infer we could also be apart of a group of hunters, whilst ‘Acle’ can infer the invasion that we will encounter which can be seen as a disease.

  6. I think Blue Eyes is most like a rogue AI, it can't be Richard Night since in even with the advanced tech of cyberpunk personality transfers wouldn't be all that feasible in the 90s and i doubt he'd be the type of guy to willingly manipulate Night City. Blackhand is unlikely because of all the reasons you mentioned. Who knows maybe he is an actual person and not an AI and just so happens to have blue cyber eyes for some reason. I think that as Gary the Prophet says, he likely comes from space, from the crystal palace where only the absolute richest can go. It makes sense to have someone that rich and powerful look to manipulate politics to gain control over one of the most important cities in the world for his own benefit.
Also, it's important to note he says "we" in the call with V, so maybe he's just a part of something much greater

  7. While you jest about Blue Eyes being the Illusive Man, the parallels are never lost on me. A mysterious blue eyed, dapper dressed figure with seemingly unlimited resources, bent on control via mind manipulation and speculated himself to be a puppet of Rogue AI(in Mass Effect's case, the Reapers). Who's to say Blue Eyes himself isn't subject to a similar phenomenon to indoctrination? Project Oracle as you say is the person through whom a god is believed to speak, and Richard Night would be by proxy a "dead god", and to further tie it to mass effect; "even a dead god can dream".

  8. Mr Blue Eyes reminded me of the movie & book 'Host' where this Alien creature takes over human body and their concussion meanwhile their eyes are blue!

  9. Let me know all your thoughts down below! Do you believe Mr Blue Eyes is Richard Night or even the body of Blackhand? Or do you have some other interesting ideas that could be at play? Have a great week chooms!

  10. Welcome to my insane ramblings…
Large Language Models AI can today come up with some impressive if flawed renditions of real folks. Multiply that by the unfettered advances of Cyberpunk where real AI can be created and funnel every single instance of written and recorded material Richard Night ever had in his extensive existence. No Soulkiller for Tricky Dick Night, no problem, create him from scratch.
Night Foundation charitably fosters as much success and training to folks that will be utterly known down to the neuron, thus having a great pool of folks that are almost destined for power. Knowing every detail about them sure makes it easier to control them either covertly, or overtly.
Every time V sends or recieves information wirelessly, an NPC's eyes glow briefly blue as the secure connection is briefly opened and closed. Blue Eyed folks, as the name implies, are always blue-eyed, implying that a neverending stream of data is going on over a dedicated secure connection.
Before the tower falling, Arasaka and Netwatch were searching everywhere for the Alt Ghost AI. Our girl must have been pretty active. She fooled them all by haunting the Arasaka subnet. The interesting thing is where they focused so much attention to find her. The Crystal Palace. Same place V may end up going to.
At this point, to me, it isn't even a question of Mr. Blue-Eyes being a skin job AI, but rather if it is still pursuing Night's vision of a perfect Capitalistic Utopia. More importantly, what lengths is it willing to go to to achieve it.
Thank you for indulging my Garyesque ramblings, I'll be waiting for my AV4 pickup to disappear me any time now.

  11. I'm completely certain that Mr Blue Eyes is an A.I. construct linked to a human body. Is it Dick Night? I doubt it. (Though props for knowing that Biotechnica have the technology available to create A.I. with memories – akin to the replicants of Blade Runner.)

As for Blackhand, he's Pondsmith. Always has been. (It's hidden away in a 2020 sourcebook – I'm old and can't remember which one…) So, if you want to figure out what the world's greatest living (because that's all that matters) solo is up to then you have to ask yourself – WWMPD?

  12. Great discussion. I would agree with you that Mr Blue Eyes can't be Morgan. It would be a terrible ending for a great character. You don't expect legendary mentally sharp and strong characters to suddenly become mind controlled vegetables. They would have the strength to break out given the slightest opportunity. You also expect the AI to jump from host to host to avoid being traced. I also don't see the point of making an inferior AI construct of Richard Night. His wife runs the corp and who wants a freaky low qualiity copy of your dead husband hanging around.

  13. Just one slight thing…Night never called his city night city or made night Corp. That was his wife after he died. I can see her making him into an AI, though…

  14. this may be a far out theory but i believe Mr. Blue Eyes is the one who killed Richard Night over disagreements of the construction and design of what they wanted Night City to look like in fact Mr. Blue Eyes( Real Name in game i will assume is Michael Burns) had blueprints created and approved for his design of Night City by the mayor and council but were mysteriously destroyed and thus replaced with Richards design which understandably angered Michael and after a sit-down at richards house where they discussed the vision for Night City Michael shot and killed Richard and took the blueprints for Richards design which he is still in possession of to this day and attempts to track them down have come up empty with only the highest ranking people that have worked closely with him only know where they are and nobody else outside of the big corporations and military themselves are not allowed to know about it

  15. theres that image of Jackie with a bionic black arm (and maybe with blue eyes?). be cool if if Blackhand's personality construct is used in Jackie's body that was picked up by arasaka at Vik's. but why would arasaka have Blackhand's construct? Blackhand is a company man for Militech so maybe he goes along with a militech plan to have an equivalent of Adam Smasher for miltech. he is Samsher's nemesis afterall. Found the perfect body to host Blackhand in Jackie's body. Im pretty pumped for Phantom Liberty.

  16. The only reason I hope it isn't black hand's body is because the character model is pretty lame lol blackhand is THE solo of solos, argueably the coolest character in the cyberpunk verse.

  17. you know what diving into the cyberpunk lore is really enjoyable and that's why i watch your videos @LayedBackGamers, easy to understand for me cuz English is my second language and u make much sense when u talk in your videos, So i will be waiting for more.

Q: I wonder are u gonna make videos about Deus Ex lore too cuz i was your YouTube Banner and Adam Jensen is there so is there a possibility that u make some videos about that game ?

  18. Aight, here's what I think. Some story writers put their powerful characters in a situation where they are humbled. What if Blackhand took on a mission that was over his head and did indeed get captured by an AI? Maybe V rescues him? Just my thoughts.

  19. This is what bothers me about 2077, there is so much lore and the game would only get better but we are only getting 1 DLC and there will be so many unanswered questions. I hope CDPrject Red revisits this game again at some point.

  20. i can't help but think phantom liberty will have some kind of revival of who and what Mr Blue Eyes is and wants. and major connections. I imagine that the DLC will be more investigative than than "time crunch"

  21. I think the writers are conflicted to the point they dont wanna make up their mind if blackhand is dead or alive and they wanna maintain fans interest in the mystery so they leave it open to interpretation but thats just my thought on the matter
