Morgan Blackhand vs Adam Smasher. A story pulled directly from the Cyberpunk Firestorm Shockwave Sourcebook, “The Guns…Silenced” covers the story of the 2023 Arasaka HQ Raid. This mission is covered partially in flashbacks by Johnny Silverhand within 2077, though inconsistent with reality. In this new series I will be selecting sourcebook and supplement stories to read for those who need the stories in audio format.

  1. Do you all hope for the opportunity to see this battle or even just Blackhand in a future DLC or Sequel? I am under the impression that Orion will have useable braindances to experience these events! Have a good one chooms.

  2. I have a fan theory, in the continuity of Cyberpunk 2077, Morgan Blackhand is a fraud. The stories of him from the RPG books are his own invention based on the exploits of other mercenaries.

It's clear the writers were familiar with Blackhand as they went out of their way to mention him. Not only that but you can find writings from him in the game, specifically guides for how to survive as a merc. In this guide he goes out of his way to disparage Johnny Silverhands.

In addition, who really nuked Arasaka Tower is not public knowledge. As far as the average person knows Silverhands being responsible is just one theory of many. This is revealed in another book you can find.

That leaves the possibility for Blackhand to have lied that he was involved to help sell his books. Of course making such a claim could potentially have landed him in legal trouble, so that's why he went underground.

  3. The more and more I learn about what (I assume) actually happened, the more and more I become convinced that a lot of the raiders on arasaka became constructs. Johnny was down and out by the time Morgan even smelled the AV again. Blackhand for all we know could have imprinted the AV memory onto the Silverhand construct.
