  1. I've been playing with Dark Future for a while now, bassically since it came out. I definetly recommend it very much. It just feels a lot more immersive, and even though I already knew NC pretty well, just the fact you're looking actively for kiosks to by smokes and food stands makes you find a lot more interesting places. I just end up being on foot a lot more and marvel at all the details to be found in the city. small effect, like the sounds when you eat and drink and that little puff of smoke after smoking are also really cool.
The thing that I didn't like at first, was that items like XXL Burritos give only fill about 8% of your food level, but after a while I realized that the modder(s) did a really good job at balancing here, If you were able to just find enough good quality food it would stop you from having to care about it completely.
It will be hard for me to ever play without this mod now xD

  2. Seeing that shootout location feel familiar or the same every time I replay the game makes me wish we could have a Cyberpunk game with an A-life system from Stalker. This would make the world feel more alive and offer different scenery during fights with enemies.

  3. Some of the recent mods for this game are so good that they should be added and shipped with the game officially, so that even console players can enjoy them. Maybe in the future, CDPR can allow modding on consoles for CP2077.

  4. You know what game would have been really cool with this "nerve" mechanic? Far Cry 3. It's kind of part of the storyline and it sort of addresses the main characters "heart of darkness" like arc, but not well enough imo. Having a debuff from committing violence that gets less and less the more you do it, until it becomes a buff but at that point you're locked into the "bad" path would have been cool. No more slaughtering an entire island with a machete and then living happily ever after with your pretty little GF.

  5. for the author and anybody looking for real fun and immersion, fully turn off the hud, gun fights are so much better without the minimap. if you are on pc, install a full hud removal mod, to get rid of the outlines on npcs and loot, the health bar on enemies etc etc

  6. hmm. I didn't love the base game (yes, the patches helped a lot but it never really had the depth I wanted), though I mostly enjoyed my time with it, I just didn't think it would be something I revisited. honestly though… this is sounding pretty appealing. this is much closer to what I think I wanted out of the game in the first place.

  7. Hey juice, the witcher 3 had recently a mod contest and the mods showcased are adding new adventures for geralt. I didn't play it yet but It seems huge compared of what we used to get for that game.

  8. Didn’t get mentioned here but the Limited HUD mod is essential to round out the “immersive” overhaul. You can choose when each hud element gets hidden, like no minimap in combat for example. When I’m walking around normally there’s no HUD at all, so taking in the sights of the city isn’t obstructed by anything.
