  1. It should be called Ghost City, not Night City. The ammount of traffic and pedestrians is less than in local village. I see cops still not able to pursue (you lost the stars after few seconds) and i imagine they still spawn outside of your FOV (judging by the sound its usualy accompanies it). Amazing graphics, cool. Just not worth spending $2.000 on 4090 just so i have cool graphics, path tracing and still less than mediocre game imo. If you have it, good for you. I was more interested in some palpable update, like game features and systems. Not β€œposh gamer updateβ€œ.

  2. I really think the sequel will be better because they aren't building a Cyberpunk city cosmopolitan game on a retrofitted fantasy horse riding game and trying to crank it out in a normal 4 year dev cycle WITH engine work.

Even if they did Cyberpunk 2077 2 on the same engine it would be better because they'd have more time to build the engine for a game like this.

However moving to Unreal Engine was likely less about what that engine can do, but frankly, we don't know AT SCALE what it can actually do and what the limits are and how that will affect this game comparing the two later.

It was likely more to do with the fact Unreal Engine is massively user friendly and for a developer trying to grow QUICKLY its easier to recruit on a large industry leading engine that most programmers already know or can understand quickly, more specifically artists and developers who can quickly use the tools to make the game faster with less people and time.

UE5 will likely limit Cyberpunk 2 just as much as 2077 does, and if anything I really imagine a lot of the visual parity of the game was only possible due to engine tweaks they made with RED Engine that just won't be on UE5. It will just enhance it in some ways, and limit it in others, HOWEVER, I do think it having built in tools for a lot of their work will increase the speed at which they can work around those limitations to make a larger game around it and a more robust one that can make up for those limitations.

Something I think Cyberpunk 2077 struggled with as it seemed like, even tho the game is like 80 hours of pure content (not even all the super filler), they wanted to do more…and with this IP they can do "more" infinitely down. There is just so much to work with.

  3. I was pleasantly surprised that I could run this decently on my 3080 12GB. 1440p ultrawide, high-ultra settings, DLSS 2.0 performance mode (w/ sharpening at 0.25), getting about 30-50fps most of the time, including combat. Occasionally it dips under 30 for a second or two, but worth it to experience these graphics. Since this is first-gen tech, I don't think it's worth upgrading to 40 series for it. This tech will get better, frame gen will get better, hopefully prices get better, and the inevitable 50 series is probably when most should hop in.

  4. Not gonna lie I was and still am a big fan but I probably won’t be joining another stream. Very disconnected, mainly replies to people who super chat or mods only, i felt very unwelcome and nothing I said over the several hours was noticed or looked at, I just wish it was different.
