The Co-founder and joint-CEO of CD Projekt Marcin Iwiński appeared in a video on Cyberpunk 2077’s YouTube channel taking full responsibility for the bad decisions that lead to the less than desirable environment around the game after its release, where he apologizes for the decisions of the Board of Directors and the management of CD Projekt Red to release the game in the incomplete state that it is, especially when it comes to previous PS4 and Xbox generation of consoles, Playstation 4 especially.

As, apparently, lately everything surrounding Cyberpunk 2077 is also surrounded by controversy, there are some conversations going around Iwiński’s apology that I’d like to address.

By the way: you don’t like the game, ask for a refund. They’ll give you your money back.

Cyberpunk 2077, the open-world, an action-adventure story from CD PROJEKT RED, is coming to Xbox One, PS4, and PC on December 10, 2020. This game is inspired in, and follows the timeline of, the pen and paper game Cyberpunk created by Mike Pondsmith.

  1. I play on Ultra/Psycho on PC also for Raytracing its awesome the game – Also a complain is FPS drops for example and i wish more things like Braindance, more things that can be done in the beautiful city, i played roughly over 100h and i am not even driving with car in the city, i run through it and i am blasted away by the complexity of Night City – It is really a living breathing Entity ♥ CDPR did a great, Brave step and job – Love it and i trust them, that they will deliver also for consoles a great experience.

  2. I see many complaints about vehicle and weapon customization which wasn't advertised it's understandable that it should have been in the game but when it's not advertised why complain about it as a missing feature?

  4. It's very important this action but I think the excessive hype of the companies and pressure of gamers to be available in december were the real causes of the wrong functioning in old gen. And later they complain. Gamers should be more pacient because games are like a good dinner: It needs time. By the way: How is the situation of the religions in Cyberpunk 2077?

  5. It is too obvious that any police and trauma team appearances are pre programmed setpieces, that only do that, police patrolling are not random npcs moving through the crowd.

  6. You don’t need to use an exploit to get into the prisons or Petrochem. I just carjacked one of those big military style vehicles that drive around the area and climbed on top to hop the fence into the prisons.
Getting out can be a lot trickier, but also done without an exploit. They appear to be a maximum and minimum security sections, both having all male inmates, at least currently.
The guards don’t count as police, so you don’t have to worry about them teleporting in.

  7. If there is anything to complain about it's the state of the game the missing ai or whatever the scripting they use to make npc's not act like mindless drones the special attributes of cyberware like the gorilla arms as requirement for opening doors

  8. Just to start I have warched most your lore vids, very good. I cannot believe how much you defend CDPR in general. You're right this was a stab in the back from someone we trusted as they're held up in higher regards before this. I played the game on PS5 for 6 hours and had 5 crashes, will not play it now until these crashes are out of the game. The PS4/XBOX base model performance was awful withmany examples. This game was meant to release when it was only these and consoles and PC. Theres no excuse. You mention other content creators "getting emotional to capitalise", like CDPR lied and literally earned millions to capitalise? Its an insult! I I mainly follow Yong Yea in re to games news and he was just disapointed mainly? We all are! Why you feel you need to talk mostly about others and not the game or CDPR I don't know. Why not just comment on the game and the apology?

  9. Also in hot regions of the world the PS4 will run hot, as any computer would. Dust in the vents will mess it up too.

My only major complaint with the game is the RPG elements are underwhelming. The lack of effectively variable choices can be unnerving. The RPG stuff is mostly limited to multiple story lines.

  10. For me, the game has had almost no issues. 189hrs played on an i5 6600k, RTX 2060, Samsung 970 EVO, and no crashes. My glitches consist of 99% floating objects, mainly when I dump bodies in containers items get removed from them in the doggy bag, which floats outside the container. I had one summon of my vehicle out in the badlands it drove thru a concrete barricade, got stuck, and then a weird physics glitch happened doing damage to the car. I re-loaded and summoned again and it didn't happen again.

The double standard is there, sadly that's likely the fault of the US and some other countries. Flopping penises (NPC's) are just a major taboo and pearl-clutchers here and other places just will lose their minds about it. It may have been something they just couldn't get around and had to cave to those pressures.

I have had full nudity without any mods, after romancing Panam my character got out of the vehicle with no clothes and his penis was flying free for all to see.

My first playthru of the game was 108hrs, all sides done, not all gigs, wasn't going for 100%, was just playing for pure roleplay.

  11. CDPR shouldn't have released cyberpunk on last gen consoles. Or should've delayed the consoles accordingly to better address the bugs which the console version was brimming with. Ultimately it was avarice that caused this fiasco. On pc the game is to me is an 8 but I can empathize with those on Xbone and PS4. The state the game was in at launch for the base consoles was untenable. The leading body of CDPR clearly prioritized money over the satisfaction of gamers which was in a word disheartening. I loved the game definitely one of the best of 2020 I got one ending and played copious amounts of the side content but I can't turn a blind eye to what has happened with regards to the old consoles any longer. They said it would come when it was ready. Well on base consoles it was irrefutably not ready. And CDPR will have to face the consequences for their transgressions but I do feel sincerely bad for the Devs.

  12. I love your show and you hit the nail on the head! The press has played into the bias the hateful clickbait. I honestly didn't think his apology was needed but hopefully it will soothe over some people's feelings. I've put 120 hours into the game and love it. I couldn't care less about the hate it's getting.

  13. I love the game, I always knew i would love the game. That doesn't mean i will excuse bad management or business practices. They did what they did, took the hit and now have a lot of work to do to get their reputation back in line. Even five years ago i warned people that CDPR are no different than any other company in a capitalist environment so i fully expect them to go the same way companies like Bethesda and EA have but that is all out of my hands and i just want the best games possible. The Cyberpunk the devs wanted to make still sounds to me like the game i really want, lets hope the finished game will resemble that.

I fully understand limitations of games and how hard it must be to give us what they really wanted. The people that worked hard on the game get my full respect as they are the ones putting everything into it. As a gamer since the 80's i have always wanted games to push the envelope of what is possible and i have some ideas of my own where i want games to go, Cyberpunk overall is a step in the right direction for me, lets hope the finished product hits the spot.

  14. And not a word of an apology for the biggest issue with Cyberpunk: Straight up lying in the marketing and hype cycle bullshit. There is no way in hell they didn't know the state the game was in, and that at best they were releasing a discount version of the game with half the game missing because of cut and unfinished content. There's literally ZERO chance the CEOs didn't get the message from below that this game is completely unfinished. Madqueen and her experience aside, since there's some serious and obvious cognitive dissonance there with her being a full blown apologist actually justifying CDPRs antics by literally saying "Other studios have done worse". :O It's just unacceptable to sell people this mess at full price regardless of platform and expect people to accept it as is.

  15. I've only crashed three times in my 300-something hours of play(as per GOG stats), and my system has hung up twice. Not too bad. Also the bugs I get are hilarious, and make great video content. They are immersion breaking but I have a mid-tier PC so I'm fine usually. I just feel bad for our console-bound gaming brethren.
