Lead Quest Designer plays Cyberpunk 2077! #13

Stream no. 13 turned out to be an enjoyable adventure with Panam – we have helped her out to retrieve her car, deal with Nash, arrived at Sunset Motel and eventually took down AV with Hellman on board! We have reached the gas station, where he is supposedly kept.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open world RPG that I have co-created. As I love talking about design, storytelling and psychology in games, I have started streaming on Twitch and discussing it all with my audience.

My goal is to share everything I have learned over a decade in AAA games industry, openly exchange ideas, explain creative decisions and encourage the next generation of game designers and storytellers to create.

  1. What's wrong with the water physics? Genuine question 🙂.
What I want most is, outside of semi-scripted moments, to be able to sit in a club/cafe, drink from a glass & eat some food…..😉.

  2. I hope one day we can find out if the alleged Militech side of this game was always planned to be as slim as it was or was sadly cut for time. Meredith stout was featured quite a lot in regards to the marketing yet she vanished from the game abruptly leading to the feeling that she was cut out. Can you offer any clarity Pawel?

  3. I love these streams and this game. I just started playing Witcher 3 and holy fuck this game is amazing, I'm 20 hours in and so far it's on course to being my favourite ever game. Thanks for all your hard work 🙂

  4. Hey Pawel! I saw that you're subscribed to Every Frame a Painting — they're one of my all-time favorite channels! Do you think that having an in-depth knowledge of filmmaking and cinematography helps in game development / game writing?

  5. For the wall running problems, wouldn't a fix for that be maxing only specific sections/materials wall-runnable? Like add some weird looking neon strips around and making you buy specific cyberware for it

  6. Hey Paweł, great stream 🙂 And also good to know that CDPR is watching the forums and community support on all other channels.

One question to ask… Why the player is powerless to help Panam twice in that short period of time during the AV chase?
Locked in to watcher her getting ricochet shot and shortly after there's no option to give her a meds and she uses expired one.

Also there's one more moment when Panam is in danger and player is powerless to help, but that's spoiler so I'd say no more 😉

Blagam zmiencie oswietlenie w tej grze i palete barw. Uzywacie glownie szarych albo zimnych barw dlatego to odpycha. Widze ze juz troche poprawiliscie w tym najnowszym patchu ale to za malo. Te wszystkie apex legends valorant etc sa tak popularne bo sa kolorowe i maja fantastyczne oswietlenie.

  8. I just found this channel, that's a lot of streams for me to binge! I love the insight in to development. I started playing with 1.23 on base PS4 and the game has improved a lot since launch, im looking forward to the future updates.
Ps. Please add that hotdogburger bike from the prerelease bug video.

  9. hi Pawel. I just found this channel recently and i appreciate you giving us some insight. Rocky launch aside i loved the game. I loved having Johnny at my side commenting on the dark side of my decisions and state of the world. (I loved how i was wearing johnny's clothes, driving his car, shooting his gun, hanging with his bros, him constantly influencing my decisions while pretending im still the same old V) So yeah, the story was really good and there were memorable side quests too. The game gave me feels and for me that is what matters the most. Music and atmosphere were phenomenal. I have finished the game in February but im still listening to the lot of the music from the game. Also Kudos to the marketing team. Even though they oversold the game, they made the wait for the game a fun experience. Night City Wire was a fun distraction and something i was looking forward to. I hope there will be a story DLC so i can dive back into an expanded and improved game.

  10. I don't know where to put this so I'm just commenting here. First of all, I really love the game and am hopeful for the future. There's one thing that bothered me a lot that doesn't seem to be mentioned often. If you're a passenger in a car, the car's "floaty" animations and the lack of mechanical sounds of the drive train, suspension and overall creaking feel very off, especially in the first missions with Panam. Maybe you can mention this to the responsible devs 🙂 Keep up the good work!
