Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the greatest games of this era. So the question isn't should you play it in 2023, it's why aren't you playing it 2023?!
Personally I freaking love this game and I just got a steam deck and wow it’s so much better then playing on my one s (I’ve just been playing on the steam deck setting with motion blur turned to medium instead of on high) but I definitely say it’s worth playing it’s become one of my all time favorites (and the anime is even more so worth it trigger out did themselves)
dunno meng. in their case i dont think theres anything they could do that would make me see it as a purchasable game, given the whole having an entirely second version of the game built just to be the pre-release 'game footage' ala fraud and false advertisement. they didnt make promises they couldnt keep, or a misleading trailer, they deliberately manufactured an entire second game just to show off as if that was the game people were buying when it wasnt. they had their day in court and lost( to the shareholders in their own country atleast)
it may be worth stealing it at some point though
Appreciate your honesty. Good update.
I missed this weekend's streams due to running a camp, I'll have to parse the VODs and try work out what perk setup you're running to get that much damage out of a pistol! That's a similar ideal to how I tend to play, but my current character has nowhere near that level of damage output!
Driving STILL sucks though 😂
I don't think so. It's a Hogwarts type thing for me though.
I am glad people can enjoy it
Not worth it
I personally can't play this game without installing hundreds of mods that make the game actually feel like a living breathing world and with the augments I want.
Character customization is very surface level by default, even with all the wardrope things they've added.
Now, the things they've done is all really good, but I even made a video stating that CP77 really needed a 2.0 release instead of incremental patches and content additions.
What CDPR should have done from day one is to just go on hiatus for these 3-4years and just release a full package re-release with Phantom Liberty and call it a re-release as well.
This would have given them really time to focus on the content they want to add instead of giving these smaller updates once or twice a year that only add things that are "neat" at best.
IMO its worth the purchase if you have a PC, since its packed with top notch mods. Played it on XSX and XSS and wasn't pleased about the game.
It's not
been playing the game since launch and i 100% feel like CP2077 iis Worth Playing in 2023, CDPR have polished up alot of the buggyness that came with launch, and its honestly one of my most favourite RPGS ive ever played, i really feel like Edgerunners and the hyped that followed it really gave the game a second wind, the world feels really alive and the characters and there VAs add alot to its playability. plus on PC we got mods :3
100% worth a play
Yes, its a very good game. Atmospheric world. Good story. Great graphics. Runs well on good gear. It should continue to be a good game for many years to come.
I just found this video looking at trailers for the game by luck and I enjoyed Edgerunners so much that I purchased the game. I was under the impression most of the initial bugs in the game that happened at launch would be fix and the game had some pretty good reviews on Steam. I got it 3 days ago and I have thirty-three hours played already. I think the game is fantastic, the best part in my opinion would be the diversity of combat. Great game would recommend to anyone who can spare the eddies.
I played it at launch and never experienced any bugs (PC) but I never quite clicked with the game, the gunplay felt wrong and not entirely in my control and something just didn't sit right with me. Not to mention those unnecessarily sexualised energy drink posters really put me off. but I do like me some cyberpunky goodness so I do wanna give it another chance
Lol I just saw it was on sale so I thought I’d watch a vid on the game for 2023 and see this new vid
Absolutely it’s outstanding just released too early.
Yeah it’s definitely worth it
I've put about…130 hours on it in the past month after trying it again for the first time in a while after finally looking at the trailer. It still feels like a beta a lot of times with npc's holding guns visually when they shouldn't (or the guns are connected to the bone points…but like 2 meters away flying around in space as the model moves), graphical glitches here and there, random crashes, etc. I'm addicted enough to ignore that and just make F5 my best friend. I'm currently about to abandon a run where I planned on completing the map and secret ending only using a knife after completing most of the map and then realizing I was at 60% Johnny rep instead of 70% and I guess missed one of the lines in the quest to negate that so no secret ending for that run…after I had cleared most of the map, hit level 50, and maxed blades. That's on me, I'm sure I chose one of the dialogue choices that equated to the same thing but didn't trigger a flag.
One thing I wish they would add, a killer feature that everyone would love: character slots. There doesn't have to be a lot, even if it's just three slots at least then you could have one for each origin story. Oh, and they could maybe make it so if I use non-lethal weapons/options leaving people squirming around on the ground clearly not dead not result in dialogue of "wow, you really slaughtered everyone". As far as I know, the only way to get true non-lethal results is to knock out people from stealth but NOT hide the body in a container (at least that used to count as killing even if it's a locker or crate) or stealth around never getting detected/interacting with the enemies. The thing is, sometimes if you just knock someone down, they count as being alive (quest dialogue will respond saying they were surprised you let them live or thanking you for not killing them). I really hope little things like that are fixed, there's very little chance they will be, but hopefully they will be fixed.
