I 100% agree! Jackie is one of the best characters in the game. After Kerry, he is my favorite, and I wish they would have added more content before killing him 🙁

All critiques aside, every character in Cyberpunk felt like an actual person and I appreciate it for it. It's the reason why Jackie's death hits as hard as it does.
One of the things I dislike about most reviewers is that they never really pay a lot of attention to characters. Some reviewers are awesome, but most of them just fly through a game making note of mechanics and controls as well as graphics. Jackie is definitely one of the best characters that you can find in a game and probably one of the better people I've seen in a story.
So, there's a mod called "Drone Companions" and I've hit up the mod author requesting him to make a skin of Jackie and a few other of the awesome characters. Idk if they will ever do it, but it might be possible to just change the mod myself. If I manage to do it I'll definitely link it for you.
My first play through I did as a corpo, and since playing with other starts, corpo is the better life path. Even down to your friendship with Jacky, it feels natural and organic. Unlike street kid where you’re just randomly lumped in together. Jacky legit saves your life in the beginning from Arasaka thugs because you two are already friends. He has a reason to help you.
Jackie was a caballero, and a good friend to get you into NC, but i think he had to go so you could focus solely on V's story

Another commenter said it best, the Corpo path is so great to give your relationship with Jackie incredible depth. Misty is also criminally underrated imho, spending the time to talk to her properly during Heroes is absolutely worth

jackie and Tbug needed more time but especially jackie, in one the builds of the game there were actually missions with tbug and jackie prior to the heist, I think there should have been at least 15 or 20hrs of play with jackie and Bug before the heist
I agree 100% I wish I could have at least had more time with Jackie, butttttt it is NIght City after all and I think if you change it to where Jackie survives that, it wouldn't be Night City. Its cut throat, no one gets out without their souls intact. Its perfect imo. Now I must go play again for the 5th run through :')

I got to jackies death like a week ago and when i did I stopped playing for a few days, I think this was the first time a video game made me cry
