Thanks for watching, If there are any DLCs or massive updates to Cyberpunk in the future, I’ll probably cover them. Hopefully more positively, but we’ll see.

Here’s part of the script of this video, just to please the almighty algorithm:
As you probably know, Cyberpunk 2077’s initial release in 2020 was a bit of a disaster. The game was half-finished, missing many of the features that had been teased and promised before its release, and it was borderline unplayable due to an immense number of bugs.

This didn’t mean that the game was absolutely terrible at that time, it did have some redeeming qualities and received some positive reviews, but everyone acknowledged just how buggy it was.

Luckily, I wasn’t too invested in the game before its release. I had seen a handful of trailers and other promotional material, and I got the vibe that some of CDPRs’ claims might be too good to be true. Unfortunately, I was right. So once I saw all the delays, followed by outrage and negative reviews, I decided to wait. Every few months, I checked for any promising new patches to Cyberpunk, that might make the game worth playing. And a few weeks ago, I decided to finally give it a try. Patch 1.5 looked promising, as did the bug fixes in the smaller patch 1.52, so when it went on sale for 50% off on steam, I jumped at the opportunity.

I completed the game over the course of 70 hours and my biggest takeaway is that the upper end of the Cyberpunk 2077 experience – the best missions, the best areas, the best situations – are some of the best sections of any game ever made. The issue is that these are pretty few and far between. And everything in between ranges from pretty good, like even pretty good, to stunningly terrible. If you cut out the best ~5 or so hours of Cyberpunk and played it as a demo, you would come away completely convinced that you had just played the best game ever made. As far as I can tell, this was pretty intentional on the part of CDPR.

The overlap between these amazing sections and the in-game footage used in trailers is nearly 1 to 1. Even without the context of having seen any trailers for Cyberpunk – you could probably reach this conclusion by just playing the game. This isn’t to say that Cyberpunk 2077 is a bad game, or that it’s irredeemable, just that despite my best attempts, it isn’t possible to completely detach the aggressive and misleading marketing from the game itself.

  1. Cyberpunk was made by inexperienced amateurs and scammers. Thats why its so trash. It was only made for money. Thats why CDPR lied, released Cyberpunk broken and unfinished 3-4 years earlier INTENTIONAL.
Cyberpunk 2077 sold 18 million times. Thats more than other broken unfinished games COMBINED.
    Mass Effect Andromeda (3m), Anthem (4m), Fallout 76 (5m),

  2. Didn’t know/care or see what the hype with Cyberpunk from 2018-2020 was.Didn’t see a single trailer or it’s promises.Saw when it dropped for PS5 and went in blind.Loved the game and it’s personally one of my all time favorites.Little to no bugs or issues.Saw it’s trailers and promises after playing it for hours and I could see the disappointment people had but Idc really and I want more. Not a masterpiece but great game nonetheless
