Who tf liked the 3rd person comment? Clearly you didn’t play the Clouds mission.
Path tracing is way better. But it's causing a glittering effect on lots of areas.
This guy adds a Digital Foundry touch to a channel that sorely needs it. Even has the smarty pants accent too!
It def has potential but from my testing it causes texture/lod issues as well as blurring the image a bit much.
What's a "cyberponk"?
Path tracing+Hdr10 on mine, looks great.
8:50 the path tracing doesnt reflect character models
cause CDPR got nothing else they can do
now they are just claiming of making new technology in game, with just a few adjustments made, and renamed it into "path tracing"
sounds about right
Will you do a follow-up dlss3 video on overdrive too?
And the game continues to be a hollow shell of what they promised with nice visuals.
Great video, pathtracing looks really blurry, like a watercolour wash over the whole scene 🙁 I'd rather have sharpness and detail than this increased accuracy of light
All fine. Now zoom in on a plate of food.
Hard to spot the difference is the key takeaway…
Just imagine you just shelled out 1500$ for a brand new 4090 toasting your feet and then it still stutters…
oh yeah because the graphics were the problem weren't they lmao
What do these minor improvements matter when the world feels absolutely empty and dead?
Hope to have this game ready in 2/3 years
Kudos to CDPR for constantly updating the game but how many times can we just play the campaign over and over. Where is this actual DLC we have been after for what 3 years now?
That's like me advertising a flying car when nobody else has one.
The new crysis
Such a useless feature tbh
Brilliant work, Michael. As you say, mathematically-driven lighting is not necessarily better than artist-driven. Sometimes it’s worse. Ray/path tracing is a tool not a solution.
FIRST TIME IN A LONG TIME IVE ACTUALLY ENJOYED AN IGN VIDEO.
Best vid from ign in ever
my pathtracing looks much better than in the video which is odd
Can't wait to play this in about 10 years at max settings when it doesn't drop below 50-60 fps.
Outsider No more 🎶 🎶
such a shame that it takes so much resources to render that it's such a cool tech
Yeah but why does it still look fuzzy on console, despite having current Gen hardware and great tv?
Let this man cook. Would love more technical breakdowns from them. Great content
Suprisingly technical and well explained, 10/10 IGN
Does anyone know, with path tracing enabled, do the settings for shadows/reflections in the graphics menu matter or not?
Fantastic explanation once again, NXG!
