Lol the way this game was marketed was basically to be the next staple in video game history that would be talked about and lauded for ages like LOZ OOT xD. I mean honestly that level of marketing and promises is what drove Mass Effect: Andromeda, Dragon Age: Inquisition, and Hello Games' No Man's sky into the ground with disappointment upon release.

LOL, getting a hair cut or customizing car is a core feature? I'd never thought this would or even should be available. Also they said on many occasions there will be no car customization. I guess the real problem is that this game was marketed to GTA folks.
Yes, I'm a PC player and the bugs don't really concern me – indeed, I'm expecting like 3-4 bug fixing updates to polish the game technical-wise but… The core thing is to add more content DLCs, that should be the priority – simply to make the world more immersive and believable. (Also fixing the AI and so on but that should be included in the bug fixes, not content updates). Dunno what that free DLC for next gens mean…

I regretted to bought this game on Steam . Cant even refund the game because i spent too much time on character creation. it was like 3.1 hrs then when i decided i should have refund.
I love this game! But I do notice that there are many places to eat but I can’t sit down and eat! I’d also like to see more places open and not locked. Not sure if it’s because I need to reach a certain level or if it’s just not finished. I feel like my exploration is somewhat limited and mostly outdoors. Being able to do more aside from jobs and gigs would be cool such as things for entertainment. More wardrobe would be nice and character customization to be more in depth. I am playing on pc so the graphics are beautiful and I have no complaints there. I still enjoy cyberpunk, but I’d like to be able to have variety in things to do for fun.

I am sick and tired of hearing about "crunch". Do most not realize that a lot of people work overtime throughout the world? My last job I had a normal 12 hour shift and my overtime was my entire day off. We got called in all the time. Job had to be done, no excuses. Bunch of sniveling babies. 🤦♂️

in my honest opinion on the cyberpunk issue, there are several big-name companies that have released shit quality games and I don't see gamers going at them like they are doing with CDR 1 example Ubisoft Assassins Creed Unity they eventually fixed that game over time so give CDR time to get their shit together. There are other games that never delivered on what they promised
I don’t buy it. They’re taking blame where they have to but they’re also keeping things close to the chest because this simply sounds like business talk. I mean can you imagine them actually coming out and confirming yeah we were making a RPG up until the 48 minute demo where we revealed everything in progress in store that we had done and then we brought Reaves on and we scrapped all that to make a completely new game that was an action adventure Johnny silverhand focus version. If they actually admitted that, we would fucking lose it. I mean that is way more than just shooting yourself in the foot. To actually admit that the game that was intended got scrapped for a new version of the game that was focused on Reeves and his involvement which led to all of this lack of oversight and rush that is clearly evident through what was released. It does not take rocket science in any way shape or form to acknowledge and see that what was revealed progress was in the 48 minute demo, the radio talking about Johnny silverhand being dead in 2076, the story of rags to riches, the intention with customization. It was a completely different game in line with a RPG which you would expect from a company that prize itself on single player immersive RPG ‘s. But the game we have right now is nothing of the 48 minute demo both in the progress that was shown as well as the story and intended direction. The skeleton bones of the city is there, but that’s it. One version is an RPG, the version we have now is a action adventure game. I’m not saying that the action adventure Game version isn’t good, but I just want the RPG version.
The patches and updates that are to be released are not going to change the design of this game. It will make it look better it will make it run better all that crap. But the missing customization features, the missing companion system or interaction with characters to make the world feel alive, they can’t change that for this game without making a new game.
So what I’m really waiting on and looking forward to our the expansions. Because they need to fucking blow that shit out of the water and make them feel like completely new games in my opinion. The expansions can be the RPG‘s that was intended originally for the base game. You can’t undo the past but they can give us the RPG‘s with the new expansion content that we wanted so much for night city to be. It’s great that there are coming patches and fixes. That doesn’t change the fact that the world is dead and that the replayability aspect of the handful of Johnny’s silverhand story outcomes is still the same. It’s the meaning for an impact for consequences Of all the other quest outside the main story that are needed and are not there. I’m glad they’re working on the game to fix it but that’s not going to help me want to play it all over again to End up with the same outcomes in exploring the world devoid of customization, character interaction, activities, that’s just plain dead. The patches and updates do not fix that. And for me that’s what hurts the longevity of this game, because the longevity is missing that RPG quality, it’s just not there
The intended version of cyber park as a immersive RPG before they scrapped and cut all of that to make a Reeves/Johnny silverhand focused action adventure game, is what I want. Had they not had to completely change the direction of the game into a completely new thing mid summer of 2018 then they would’ve spent the remainder of those two years building on the progress that have been made as well as delivering on the RPG features we expected. If they are just fucking stayed on track, but leader ship got a celebrity involved and blew their fucking top at the idea of money to be made from that celebrity that we all love and we still all do love. But in doing so they made a completely different game than what they had been intending, directing, building towards, progressing towards with evidence, and that is in line with their previous projects.
I wanted to buy properties I wanted to customize my properties, I wanted to have interactions with characters continually through the world especially having some certain characters that you care about stay in the world in a persistent way which would typically be the romance options, even Witcher three had this aspect where even when you beat the main story if you continue to explore the world you would still run into characters to interact with one way or another and in their last expansion with blood and wine you could have your romance option at your house to just exist in the world which would’ve been something nice that they could build upon as far as interacting goes. But I’m sure this was the intention and some form or another especially with how they were talking about the game through the 48 minute demo. I wanted to have a robotic leg and one night and be able to customize my cybernetics with different physical features like sharp points that look like thorns on them or patterns or colors. I wanted a blood chrome cybernetic arm. I wanted to have a lower jaw that was chromed out with wolf things or some kind of sharp teeth pattern. I want to see myself in reflections. I wanted to be able to get tattoos or change the colors and the features of my cybernetic in a cosmetic way. I wanted the animations at the ripper dock so you can visually see your leg being taken off or legs or arm etc. I wanted customization for my guns and for the weapons and changing their luxe and appearance as well as for the vehicles. All of this shit was the intended direction that you could see and that was talked about in the 48 minute demo. Because it was a immersive RPG. When they got so fucking obsessed with celebrity shit they made a completely different game and they had to rush in a year and a half to do it so much so that they didn’t even have time to even add in basic fundamental RPG elements that are in their previous projects. They realize that even though originally it was being called a RPG they had to officially re-label it as a action adventure game. They knew that this wasn’t the same game anymore and now leader ship is saying that they’re taking the blame for everything while also trying to cover their butts and keep this kind of I think blatantly obvious information under wraps because the amount of blow back that would happen if they confirmed what I think we all can agree is very obvious that happened to this game where they had one version of it and then they scrapped it to make a different version which is the current version and in only a year and a half. Is this a good game? Sure . Is there a CDPR single player immersive RPG? That information exist, they can try to lie about it and say that that was never the intention to begin with and we were going to do this the entire time but that’s a bunch of fucking bullshit. Because we have the evidence of them saying the exact opposite and showing the exact opposite in 2018 before they got the celebrity. Of all the cities in the world and times with body modification and cyber wear, this game should’ve been groundbreaking in terms of customization features. I mean Ridiculously nuts. If you think GTA online has customization or any previous RPG has customization, this setting with this city allows for customization that is just stupid, like saints row ridiculousness. Even the clothing where you have these animalistic features and people getting fucking tails put on their rear ends to look more like a cheater because there’s some corporate neo kitch shit. It’s not like this stuff isn’t in the game already. I mean you have the animations for the ripper docs, you see the NPC’s walking around who have tan white bodies and dresses with silicone chrome purple heads and ponytails or red chrome bottom jaw mohawk looking chicks with pointy legs and no feet. I mean this shit is in the world. And then to not have characters to interact with in a persistent way that even their previous projects did because they know that when you’re exploring an environment you don’t wanna do it in the void of space with no one to interact with. You have to keep characters in the world one way or another so that the world feels fucking alive. It’s just common sense shit man. To me it’s just so obvious what happened. You have two different games are being made. One was an RPG before they got reeves involved, the other Was a action adventure game after they got reeves involved and they only had a year and a half to put it together. Just fucking sucks man

I can’t help but be cynical. The guy only seems to admit fault now because Sony cut them deep by removing the game from the PlayStation Store, in addition to the investigations and potential lawsuits for misleading both consumers and investors. It’s a shame all of this had to happen in order for the higher ups to realize they can’t mislead people like this, they really thought they could get away with it.
BTW my suspicion is the cut content is in part BECAUSE of those last-gen optimizations. The train stations were almost certainly cut because performance was already barely satisfactory even without all of those textures and assets being required to stream in. This seems like a case of the final game suffering in order to fit it onto the PS4 and Xbox One hardware.
Remember, those base consoles didn’t have SSDs and used graphics cards comparable to the GTX 760, so it’s unsurprising those console users experienced issues with low poly assets, subpar frame rates, low resolution, and textures failing to stream in quickly. Hence the game really does run “surprisingly well,” in that it really SHOULDN’T have been released on those consoles at all, Night City is just too densely visually detailed, to the credit of the artists who clearly worked real hard on the game.
