Got an Older GFX Card? Double your FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 With 2 Settings

I discovered this and wanted to share (Don’t worry this isn’t going to be a regular thing – I’m not going to turn into a tech channel!). So, for those of you (like me) on PC and yet to bag yourself an RTX graphics card, there are a couple of settings that improve FPS a lot. The recently launched AMD Fidelity FX Super Resolution (which works on Nvidia cards too) & Screen Space Reflection. These settings may be available and help on console, but I’m not sure, I’ve not tested it, this is specifically for PC users. Thanks again to all of my subscribers and supporters, you’re awesome!

I hope to be upgrading soon, but as of now this is all recorded on a 1660ti.

  1. TBH, I wouldn't mind some more videos like this. I've got an RTX 3070 and while my frame rates are pretty solid, I still see clips of gameplay that appear to be a lot higher quality than what I get, despite my GPU and high speed monitor. Or maybe it's just my imagination…I dunno. A list of 'ideal' settings to balance visual quality and speed quality would be very useful, esp. for us that just want to play the darn game and not spend time tweaking settings.

  2. an old skyrim modder found back on skyrim legendary edition did a really cool trick with transitions like this and made them preform much better using this little trick.

i think the term was called render culling, which only loaded up the current things that the player could see, so when they opened up to a larger pool of resources, it would run a lot smoother because it would only load up what the player was looking at, and what the player wasn't looking at wasn't rendering which gave the game a significant boost in FPS.

  3. went from 34 fps to 62 fps just from watching this video. Thanks a bunch! I'm kind of new the the PC Gaming world so these settings can be a bit intimidating, thanks again! cheers

  4. Thanks! I'll have to try this. Yeah I wouldn't have thought it would work with Nvidia cards, either (I almost didn't watch, since I thought it was "N/A").
Back pre-1.5, I got some serious performance boosts after finding an article called (something like) "Tips for Maximum Performance for Cyber2077".
It will be fun to now add these 2 settings to the mix. 👍

(If anyone's interested – or if I remember – I'll try to find the actual article title.)
