  1. Man, the life path system in the game was such a fakeout. Literally a lie and does NOTHING in the game because dialogue options don't really matter except for specific mission endings. So frustrsting. "It'll come out when it's ready." Well damn, that didn't age well. Coulda lived with a longer delay.

  2. After Destiny I never expect a game to deliver what it promises, and this game seems like it went down the same road as Destiny. It feels like there was an entirely different game, that got railroaded, and we get what was patched together. Seems there are certain pieces left in and I wonder what they were supposed to be? Like Judy was a connect into the cyber world, while Takemura was a link to the Corpo stories. If you think about each character- Judy, Panam, River, Takemura, they have really interesting stories going on. But, you only scratch the surface of each one. I was playing a second time with some differ choices, I just did a mission with Takamura, and thought. “This dude is so badass, how is he so under used?” All the characters’ stories just sorta end. They don’t seem to have any impact on the story. Even the ones who know each other don’t seem to have any impact on each other. The entire story of this game seems about as much as “blood and wine” dlc was. My money is that they each had a massive plot you get entangled with; and maybe you ended up shaping the overall outcome by committing to one at some point. Maybe it would even cut off other mission and become the main game for you. Remember at some point, they said the final map was a bit smaller than the Witcher’s map, but the story was almost twice as long. Think you’re on to something with Keanu thing. Must have railroaded the build they had going and we get the result. Wasn’t destiny’s final build less than a year old when it was launched? Maybe this is something similar. Either way it’s a shame: games awesome on many levels, but ultimately it’s a massive disappointment. CDPR made a game about shady Corpo scum, somehow that seems fitting here. 2020 delivers again!

  3. I preordered (PS4) and canceled multiple times for different reasons. Mostly budgetary. Ultimately I didn't follow though. And I feel like I dodged a $60 bullet. It's such a shame too, because I was pulling for CDPR. They proved to be more than capable after Witcher 2 and 3. CDPR dropped the ball here. I assumed I would pick it up later on, but I don't think I'll ever will now..

  4. You forgot to add they said "Cyberpunk is a first person role playing game" It's not a RPG. Even they have somewhat admitted this fact on the own cyberpunk 2077 twitter profile. For years the profile read "the role-playing game of the dark future". Then in June 2019 they updated the profile to read "an open-world, action-adventure story". Note June was also the month revealed Keanu Reeves.
So that means they have been working on this current story line maybe a year and a half and had to scrap everything else? Hopefully someone reads this and puts the points together like i did so they can correct me if i'm wrong.

  5. The guy saying that he must have liked the game if he played 200hrs of it, would be the same guy that complained he barely played it if he said he only played 50hrs and that's all he could stand. These guys never have new arguments.

  6. The biggest dialogue issue I found was choosing panam for final mission but choosing johnny… the game treated rogue as being dead. The game did look like this on 3090 full psycho settings btw.

  7. Actually the quest when you get the little robot is very articulate in the preparation and can finish in 2 very different ways (one is displayed here…the other one is that you conclude the trade pacifically and the ppl from militech shows up and attack the site so you have to go out and fight them instead of the Maelstrom guys, that in that case are friendly to you)
(but you never get to control the robot…that is non existent)

To bad this is basically the ONLY quest in the whole game (except the finale) that has this kind of complexity.
Everything else is totally linear and gives you only the IMPRESSION of choice.

  8. Game in current state is a pre-alpha. It can't be otherwise. It lacks too much obvious features for such a game. There is not even a reputation system with the different gangs. I just wonder where is that game they advertised us so well and where is the money ?
It's even weirder as if you look at the backstory for your character, there is nothing about nomads.

  9. I think cdprojectred would argue a lot of this is in the game. The graphics on pc at max does look good, possibly better than here..but is an almost unplayable fps. You can zoom, double jump, hack and do other stuff shown here. Some missions have multiple solutions. However, overall the released game is watered down and not as cool as it is here. I agree stuff got cut and game became very focused on Johnny
