  1. holy shit thanks for this, just finished my first play through. and just like you mentioned, i totally just overlooked this message as it didn’t make any sense.

  2. When I first saw that message, I plugged the number sequence into a Binary translator thinking that was the solution. I'd never even heard of that interstellar transmission with the DNA sequence before. Super interesting stuff

  4. So what you're saying is that Songbird's condition is much closer to V's than we might've initially assumed. Fascinating that the source of her body's degeneration is coming from the Blackwall, whereas ours is coming from a DNA rewrite from the Relic, as it tries to replicate Johnny Silverhand's DNA to house his engram inside of a living vessel. The way Viktor Vektor describes the process of the Relic reacting in V's body sounds oddly similar to how you describe So Mi's failing health. The issue stemming from the brain, acting akin to a cancerous tumor, and the body of its victim fighting itself.
    Pesky nanites.

But anyways, it definitely doesn't help considering how chromed up So Mi is and how it might affect this process. Her Militech cyberware has likely been attuned for prolonged Deep Net processing (under order of President Myers in this case, reaching beyond the Blackwall). Now while that might be one thing, what the ripperdocs who put So Mi together in this state probably weren't aware of the risks that would come from such a task; either that or they were told to ignore those risks because Myers really is that evil.
I would like to imagine that such a powerful AI (like the Blackwall) would domineer a body's DNA the more chromed up you are, once it finds a way to enter your brain and/or cyberdeck, or simply by convincing someone to run a routine through their body like a conduit. Why V's illness seems to be occurring at a slower rate than So Mi's, however, is most likely because they have swapped less of their organic mass for cyberware, and AIs have a harder time controlling it.

The Relic in our heads also has A LOT more DNA to rewrite and 'correct', as we are rendered powerless against the occasional seizure, the coughing out blood, and hallucinations, So Mi's body would probably be taking that on at an accelerated pace.
Truly a horrifying prospect to imagine an AI trying to take over someone's body.

  5. yeah i actually decoded that thing and found it's the DNA pattern and thought "…goddamn… Blackwall is tryna make her body more susceptible to his control…"

  6. Hidden clue? The second i saw her actual body in game i was like 'that is a full body conversion done so aesthetically bad it should be illegal'. Her being puppeted by AIs is a matter of when, not if. Also, i suspect that when Reed pulls her out of the Cynosure core there is more AI than So Mi inside her chrome dome. And Myers is sallivating at how Cynosure is now fully realised. A brand spankin new AI to exploit 😮😮

  7. This is why I stick with the decision to kill Songbird. She's lowkey a husk regardless of which ending you choose. It feels like you're basically choosing between who her jailer will be(NUSA and the Corp Blue Eyes aligned in) or if she should die, and in the Cyberpunk-verse I dont trust anyone with access to Blackwall AI

  8. I like the rogue AI idea, the Blackwall firewall concept and that AI-s can penetrate your mind through your implants but… I never understood the powers the blackwall gives. It was a bit exagerated and not explained. It felt like a superhero movie.

  9. Cough cough find out that songbird has spiders engram…just saying is very possible especially since they recall similar memories of your like me and played the ttrpgs you'd see the huge amount of similarities in their character chooms! Just saying is a theory but a certain cyberdeck kleping and her recollection of SAMUARI makes me pondering cause she was to young to remember SAMUARI and the cyberdeck story and the story of lose is almost spot on to spiders ….if not spider herself maybe she's the daughter of….but the personalities are too close to be unnoticed. As well (I know this may sound like a rant but I know a lot about this game) the concert with Lizzy was all symbolism of phantom of liberty spider Murphy alt and Bartmoss all the major netrunners during the Saka raid and further conquest….all things lead back to red and blackdog!
