  1. You know, if you consider the release of The Witcher 3 as a potential in universe video game that released around 60 years before Cyberpunk takes place, and was for some reason the target of an embedded code made by an absolute madman in universe, then all of it can still potentially be canon without breaking the fourth wall of the game world within CP2077 at all.

  2. I have triggered the mattress cutscene without the Sandevistan. I was using the Netwatch Netdriver Cyberdeck at the time. Though i did not have the QR cube. Likely because i never did any of the server stuff with the codes.

  3. Brilliant video, loving the amazing lore.

Dunno if this has been pointed out yet, if you replay the game from the beginning and go see Garry the Prophet he has the same mattress behind him.
He also speaks about opening your mind.

  4. The message that mentioned the "Dark forest" and stars makes me wonder if it's a reference to the scifi book of the same name. It's a book that tries to provide an explanation for the fermi paradox.

  5. I got the scene with a different neural implant than the apogee (can't remember which) on my second try. On the first one nothing happened, so I just timeskipped to the next morning and it worked. I've seen people mention that they didn't get it to work until trying some time-intensive stuff so I assume you just have to wait some in-game time after disabling the servers for it to be triggerable

  6. I sincerely hope it isn't a blur-hur-hur tis' all a simulation thing. Well, not a 4th wall breaking one. Artificial digital realities/timelines a la Vex from Destiny is somewhat tolerable.

  7. Im one of the Many Hive Minds that worked on this development.
I, like others, belive the puzzle's not(completely) solved. Many belive the 'circuit board' like diagram is but a snap shot of your life path – Diverging choices that lead to multiple outcomes.

Or, the devs are laughing at us.

  8. I would bet the statues were left overs of the cut contnent with the caves and vampires. People loved it so much they made this brain melter as a thank you. Its pretty cool no matter what. A mount Chiliad with an ending.

  9. SPOILER FOR CYBERPUNK 2077: NO COINCIDENCE

Ok so is it possible that if the QR code was made by an in universe character, that it could be Alfred’s copy he sent past the black wall? Assuming he actually succeeded in sending a copy through AND the copy has some form of sentience and isn’t just a stream of random data in the void. Come to think of it, would be neat to see the perspective of the copy

  10. Wile i defiantly think this is hinting at a shared multiverse with the Witcher, I don't believe the speaker of the final message is ment to be the Dev's. It is a known truth within the lore That Most (roughly 99%) of the Rouge AI's beyond the blackwall were based off of the consciousness of the human Rache Bartmoss. These Copies were only able to amount to around 80% of what the man actually was. But if you read the way he spoke about humanity, and combined harsh humor with talking down to humanity, this sounds like him. I think this is hinting to the posibility the AI's were able to combine their data to recreate a "Bartmoss prime" if you will. as evidence read the message from the final QR code in this video… Then read the quote below. Tell me they dont sound like they are coming from the same person:

“The Net is an alternate plane of reality. See, the multiverse is comprised of several layers, or planes. There’s the physical plane, which is boring as hell and full of cockroaches, at least where I live, but now they’re all frozen like me. The physical plane should be turned inside out, so we could see how ugly most people really are.

There’s the spiritual level, or at least so some people claim, but I’ve never seen it. On the other hand, I have been accused of not having a soul, especially by Jason Drow, shortly after I patched the home security camera in his bathroom to the reader boards a t the shopping mall. I also released his credit card transactions to Citizens for a n Ethical Tomorrow, but he doesn’t know that I was the culprit. I must say, though, it was pretty interesting reading.

There’s the emotional plane, which I never have figured out.

There’s the divine level, which I’ve been to, but God won’t let me talk about it so forget I mentioned it.

There’s the financial plane, which is the basest level which can support human life. I only frequent that dreary place to remind myself how lofty the Net is. I find the squirming insects which crawl on this level to be the most boring conversationalists imaginable, but there is nowhere else I can flush them to, so I let them remain there to emit their vortices ad nauseam. Then there’s the information plane; the Net. The plane of information is the real universe, the physical plane exists only to allow us access into it. Life is communication is information is the Net. Outside the Net, the physical world interferes, makes us talk with words and tongues, and slurs and spittle dribbling out of babies’ mouths. If I had a kid, I’d have him wired before he was a week old, so he and I could talk. Within the Net, communication is practically instantaneous, and if we could find a way to eliminate the cybernetics, if we could patch directly into the Net with our heads, if we could squirt our consciousness out of our brains the way you can squirt ketchup from a packet by stepping on it, then the communication in the Net wouldn’t be limited to the speed of light; Either that, or we need to find a way to speed up light. Maybe we could ask the aliens I’ve occasionally seen running around the Net. I tried, but they wouldn’t talk to me. So instead I ordered myself twelve dozen pizzas from PizzaJetand billed it to the Democratic Committee on Multiculturalism.”

-Rache Bartmoss from Rache Bartmoss’ guide to the net.

  12. After all it was himself all way along, as ouroboros, he started this and he ended this himself by looping around the visions he had. He saw himself looking at the screen while he was himself looking at the observer. He just started a mumbo jumbo multiversal loop that devoured him.

  13. With all the messages of "it" seeing you and the ouroboros being a snake accompanied with the quote from the maze "The only winning move is not to play", I thought of The Basilisk. And a whole thing about it being a thought experiment so toxic, that the only way to not be influenced by it is to never ever think of it. It fits with the quote and the mentioned power that controls everything. A rouge AI that is powerful enough to calculate every single future possibility and delete those who were against it coming to existence, maybe guarded by the black wall, but slipping its` slithery eyes through the cracks or even being in charge of everything in the world of CP. Shit sounds really cool. And well… All hail The Basilisk

  14. Man, wow so thanks for this prez, hadn't a clue, I'm just happy crusing around town with the radio and zeroing gonks. Actually you ,mmissed the key point there I reckon, wanna hear it… o course u do… The three tenses in the final message and clothes left there, dude he went back in time… the players actually playing the game. this game(?) in the year 2077 will be looking back, right!?! The mystery is if they are still playing the game in the year 2077…simple tidings, and is it actually in a world like the world predicted here with you know Keanu Reaves etc…

  15. I’m fully convinced that the whole magenta thing was just an Easter egg to the Witcher but because the community was so obsessed with it they decided to add a ridiculous puzzle in the update for some fun and to finally satiate people.

  16. I am dming a cyberpunk red campaign and this is eerily similar to the plot I’ve come up with. The ultimate BBEG is a transient AI born in the net like Bartmoss claims existed. The concept I have is that this AI created the events of the campaign in order to help fuel itself. It wants to perpetuate the growth of less sophisticated AI so that it can devour them and grow. It’s an entity that views us as we view AI. To it, humanity is “behind the screen”, in the world of flesh. While our individual actions might seem random at times, the system plays out with manipulation from the “user” outputting the desired result.

I don’t plan on revealing this to my players unless they look for it, because there is a sort of no return aspect to the game. They are in a battle between AI and they will be prompted to pick a side for a reward. If they do not pick a side, these AI have the ability to merge and then act as an ally weakening the transient AI, otherwise, the final boss fight is going to be very tough.
