  1. Paranoia isn't bad when an actual attack is ongoing, it's called being alert, completely justified when being put under mind control and a potential hit list.
Jefferson needs to watch his back and conduct dinner "spring cleaning" of his camp and marriage.

Plus he seems passionate enough to potentially do something about it, or at least he'll die free.

  2. I decided to tell him the truth because I think despite whatever pain may come from it, it's better than to live a lie. But it doesn't just stop there, what was going on with them was seriously messed up. They were being brainwashed. I looked at it from a bigger picture standpoint, what was being done to the Peralez family wasn't just going to stop with them. They were but a mere blip in a much more sinister plan. Opening Jefferson's eyes to the truth could be the biggest hope there is to unveiling the conspiracy. Anyone who managed to control the minds of powerful people, would make moves to control the minds of everyone in the world. The truth cannot be allowed to die in the shadows, however hopeless it must seem there must be someone willing to fight for it.

Think of it this way: Would you rather live a lie in blissful ignorance, or face a horrible truth that could shatter your very way of life? If you were Neo (The Matrix), would you take the blue pill or the red pill? If you were Truman (The Truman Show), would you stay in the dome or would you leave?

  3. There's no evidence to suggest he can't fight back but for damn sure you can't fight back if you don't even know there's a problem and he's not paranoid he is exactly as cautious as a reasonable person should be. As for the wife? Fuck her she's obviously more brainwashed then Jefferson. Despite everything he still fighting and obviously doesn't regret learning that information. Now he has a chance to take back what he lost like his brother.

  4. I told him, I would still tell him again. I value who I am and being my own person. It is one of a set of stories you see in 2077, which makes you think critically about what it means to be an individual. Johnny mentions the worst thing is Arasaka can change who you are if they have your engram. You see it in Lizzy's quest to spy on her boyfriend. You see it with Jefferson. You also have the angle of the dolls and how they are people who give up autonomy temporarily being rewritten. If you let it happen, you are killing Jefferson. His personality ceases to exist as he becomes someone else, similar to Suburo taking over his sons body. I think I would rather let the man die on his own terms, facing the darkness. He has the option to fight, quit politics, ignore you or whatever. Telling him the truth gives him the choice.

  5. This to me is really a question of how you view someone's life or how you want the future to be. Either let them live controlled but in a way where they are succeeding and just going through their life. Except can that last forever idk. He asked you to find out. That could be a sign that he'll try and do something again who knows. Just because you tell him and it doesn't look good doesn't mean it's automatically a better option not to tell him. He still lives on and he has the money and resources to get out of the situation. He can pay netrunners and such. Go to the afterlife and cut some deals. It really could go either way. Imo. I'd tell him just because that was the job I was given. And I would probably want to help him if I were v. The a.i. could get anyone and it will just become more powerful the more you leave it alone. I'd rather tell someone so they have a chance to deal with it before I would have to deal with rogue a.i. roaming night city. This guy has more options than v. Johnny isn't always right. He may have said he's fucked but that doesn't mean he can't help stop it from progressing. And yeah we don't see any of that but it's literally the most realistic thing. If anyone were to have a shit ton of money they would use it to do what they can. Or else it really is just bad writing. Not saying him having a sad ending is bad writing I'm just saying he could at least go out trying. Because you don't know maybe once you see him after you didn't tell him. It's possible he's not even himself anymore. You wouldn't know that. And if he's not even himself. He's been controlled to the point where he cannot tell something is wrong. Well then maybe he's not really a person anymore. Idk how that mind controlled works but it doesn't seem like it's worth it for your character v. Why be nice about something that can get worse. Let the guy suffer because in reality he would use his own money to figure something out. Even if it doesn't work out for him it would let the information out there. And it has to start somewhere. Also since he did call you at the end. That technically means you've got another mission if v chooses to look into it

  6. I just beat this mission literally last night… I made my choice. Even if it ends badly, better to live in a terrible truth than a happy lie. Wrong city wrong people and all that. But V does make a difference here or there. May not be big, may not have massive impact in the long run. But even a tiny spark can start a huge fire.

  7. If you’re gonna be stuck in a Truman Show situation AND they can manipulate your memories, it’s better to know. You would want to know even if it didn’t improve the situation, you knowing would make it that much better. Not knowing is just letting them do WHATEVER they wanted to them and get away with it. Knowledge is power!

  8. For what I can theorize, the AI is Anti-Corpo. Given that we saw Mr. Blue Eyes twice, it seems that it has an agenda towards the Corpos. The results speaks for themselves. Peralez is implementing Welfare Policies and Raising taxes to home the Homeless, which is somethin the Corpos would not have a good interest in and after the Prologue, he hires you to raid a Space Casino.

Perhaps not telling the truth is a better choice if you want to be against the Corpos, but Peralez own will and psyche is a small sacrifice.

It is unknown and it's really up to interpretations

  9. Who cares about a fictional characters marriage? Lol. In these games it’s all about what benefits the player. In this case. Neither option has any benefit to the player. So who cares. Lol

  10. I mean, if you tell the truth he isn't an AI controlled mayor, if you don't tell the truth he is. I'd rather not have him as an AI controlled mayor, though.

  11. I think telling the truth is a bit better tho. No matter what you choose they`re fucked. But if you dont tell him the truth he will be manipulated further and keeps forgetting who he really is. He already forgot about his brothers existence. They completely rewrite who he is and indirectly kill him. He is a completely different person that solely exist to satisfy an AI or some corporation and his family will lose him aswell.

  12. Could it be that Mr. Blue Eyes has those blue eyes because he is constantly getting transferred eddies? I noticed people get the same blue eyes when sending or receiving money in the game.

  13. I choose to tell the truth, its bad. The AI should never called me, cause trying to scare me will get the opposite effect, will en-rage me and fight the AI. That is what is to be a Punk. David vs Goliath.

  14. This video is so dumb. We do NOT CARE about Jefferson, we care about the decisions he will make while being controlled. Telling him the truth gives bigger chances that they'll lose their puppet.

  15. I disagree here, telling him the truth makes him less happy yes, but it also makes him aware of what happens around him. how he deals with it we cannot know without spoilers and even then in reality it would be his responsibility.

I just wished the game gave me a follow up quest for both endings where I either pin everything on his enemy in the election or try to get him out of the mind controll with his wife, maybe with it ending with him having an accident.

  16. Jefferson Peralez is screwed no matter the choice you made. Remember he is becoming a whole new person, so does not matter if he is seems "unhappy" if you tell the truth. Soon enough he and his wife will forget everything and receive a whole new personality

  17. An excellent take on this. It is a trap. I think this is one of their best side stories and they should have more in the DLC since it was supposed to have more of a spy feel to it.
