interesting findings, this is similar to watching a DF video!
Good comparison!
can u try dlss 2.2 in battlefield V? since the dlss 1.0 it's really bad in that game
Great video! I notice you play it on i6700 and rtx3070. Consider some benchmarks on YT on i6700, because many ppl shout for cpu botleneck CP2077 on old gen of intel proc like i6700 i7700. 97% of CP2077 test on YT are on new i11700 or R5800X procesors, not considering cpu botleneck.
Cheers.
You know what you are talking about. Im gonna sub.
Reduction in VRAM usage is actually pretty big for people with VRAM-limited cards. On my RTX 2060 card it will be a big boon, might even allow the use of some of the RTX features with more breathing room.
9:34 Tensor cores are not used for raytracing, this is a misconception that sprang from the very VERY early demos running on Volta GPUs. Turing and Ampere have 3 major IP blocks, the compute shaders, the RT Cores, and the Tensor cores. The RT cores as the name implies are responsible for Ray Tracing acceleration (it is handed off a portion of the workload by the compute shaders). The Tensor cores are for Machine Learning acceleration and so far their only gaming related use case is DLSS. https://images.anandtech.com/doci/16057/Ampere_Perf_Comp.jpg
Keep it up mate
Try a better CPU, I upgraded from an R5 3600 to an R7 5800X and noticed a significant bump in performance and better GPU utilization
need a better cpu, you are having cpu bottleneck..
Use the DLSS 2.2.10 from Rust, Its better than Rainbow Six Siege DLSS.
Well you talked about low cpu performance, but you are using a 6700k you are in need of an upgrade there
Past 8:11: It should be obvious to you that the game is CPU limited in your case, hence the GPU not running at 95+%. You see lower CPU usage = higher GPU usage.
Cyberpunk 2077 is pushing hardware to its limit. In a nutshell, the graphics & physics & AI it was designed for is too ambitious for 2020. And that is with the AI & graphics turned down massively from what we saw prerelease. Raytracing didn't help either.
The plural of oddity is oddities, not oddity's.
Wow so this video is way more popular that I was expecting thank you all very much. This video has more views in the last couple of hours than my channel normally gets in a month!
To everyone commenting how I need a better CPU, yes your right I do but they are expensive and replacing my GPU this year because my old one died was a bank breaking experience. When I am able to I plan to build a newer system for testing but I make nothing from YouTube right now I make these videos because I'm passionate about PC games and hardware. Replacing my CPU has not been a justifiable idea until now but given the relative success of this video I am looking in to it as more urgent and if possible I will retain the current build for comparison testing as it provides a data point for the many people running quad core systems.
Again thank you all very much for your comments and feedback it is very appreciated
Corridor scene show very severe blinking on vents above highlighted area, its there even on best quality option with dlss on. And same are for night scene outside, that seams between plates.
DLSS – Shimmering lines edition
Good video, thanks. But you need to turn down the volume on the background music relative to your voice over… it's really hard to make out what you're saying.
