  1. Dude I've been waiting for you to upload this. In my opinion assassin's creed valhalla had more game breaking bugs for me then cyberpunk. I got it on base consoles and although I didn't have that many game breaking bug (unlike assassin's creed valhalla) it did play like shit and I kinds knew it would… The funny thing is I knew this game was gonna be another watchdogs downgrade but surprisingly much worse in terms of release. It actual makes me really sad to be reading these stores of its crappy launch cuz playing it you can feel adn see what this studio was gojng for and they almost made it… Also on a side note I'm Surprised you haven't done a video on the outer worlds yet, I'm very curious about your take on the game… Anyway another great video bud, your perspective is so refreshing and interesting to listen, great work. Number one fan here brah! Peace!!!

  2. Just reacting on your bit about cyberpunk's cinematography. I noticed that during dialogs/cutscenes I sort of became the director and was trying to find the best framing for the scene. basically going in to photo mode. I liked that.

  3. I think the big issues with games nowadays is that they try too hard to be like movies. For me the videogames should have immersion over cinematics… When i play a game i don't want really an interactive film with some gameplay in between… Also i don't think making the player grind for going on is a good decision, i mean i didn't liked the wait for some day quests but also i don't think they should make me grind to progress… Maybe something in between, they closed a district in the start of the game, maybe they could've done something like that. You can't access the district until you finished quest in the previous and so on. But is that really open world? Or you know, do the quests and have more things to do instead of watering down your content with needless waiting or grinding.

  4. Great video! reflected a lot of my own opinions on the game. Themes like cyberspace/the afterlife, late-stage capitalism police corruption etc. are introduced, and then immediately dropped. Really disappointing. Hopefully updates and free DLC can fill some of these voids, seeing as some of the best side quests in The Witcher 3 are free DLC.

Also, the game is confusingly far more structured like a GTA game, instead of the more thoughtful pace of The Witcher 3.

  5. imo the best implementation of the "dialogue wheel" is ofc deus ex human revolution and mankind divided, where you only get snipets of what jensen is gonna say on the actual wheel with THE WHOLE SENTENCE THAT IS GONNA COME OUT HIS MOUTH if you hover your mouse over one option.I think thats the way it should be done if you want both rpg and cinematic

  6. Oh not only is the thinking time bomb bad for cyberpunk

it constantly reminds you of it every side quest your in that you almost bolive that you are truly going to die as V gets worst and worst throught the game that started to panic and speed runned the game.

Also the game gives you 3 WEEKS to solve the issue, most games give you a month or years for things to go bad, but cyberpunk really wants you to focus on the main mission and if you do that you will get the worst ending as you won't have the help of any side character for it

  7. Actually it has some of the worst writing I saw in a while, characters that you don't care about randomly dropped on your head just to die after you meet them 2-3 times, other characters being friendly because they have a never told backstory with V? Lol seriously? The only few exceptions being Goro and Keanu Reeves. I actually like Goro, though he's a very cliche samurai and you can't even romance him. Keanu though… He's supposed to be the main character to influence the player with his ideas, yet he has non. Except "revenge the girlfriend (I was literally laughting when she died, because I knew her for less than 10 minutes, yet the scene was trying to make it look soooo tragic) and destroy the corporation because it's evil!". Ironically enough, he's a walking cliche, no unique ideas, no interesting plan, I didn't even felt chemistry between him and V…
And those endings… One may defend them saying how deeply dramatic and mature thay are… But I only have to say 3 words to to destroy that opinion: Mass Effect 3 Endings.
Yeah, the only more or less unique idea in the whole game being braindances, the rest is already been done better by other games, movies and so on.

  8. It's your opinion, so I mean no disrispect, but it may seems that HOW the dialogs, characters and the story are presented is more important to you than WHAT they actually are.
I had much greater immersion from characters straring at me with dead eyes, or reading text windows in some isometric rpgs, than in cyberpunk with all it's special effects and excellent animations.
With the majority of cp's characters my emotion varied from bored to annoyed and to confused, because I had no idea who these people, what's their backstory with V and why am I supposed to care for them. But I mentioned all that in the previous comment. I think even some fallout 4 characters were more engaging, like Curie, while in cp everyone is basically Preston Garvey.
Lol… They took the "another settlement needs your help" meme and turned almost every single cp's sub quest into it, really??
Since to me it's more important WHAT the essence of each character and the story overall is, I'm looking for complex and deep characters, for interesting ideas in the story. I did say that almost every single idea that cyberpunk's story uses was already done better somewhere else, but to be fair, there's one idea that intrigued me.
Braindances. It's a more unique idea (though I'm not sure if it's actually cdpr's idea, or they just took it straight from the tabletop lore), but the problem is… the story only breathly touched on it.
    They barely scratched the surface.
Why not make the whole game about it? Why not make the protagonist to be the aspiring braindance actor who's slowly ascending to celebrity. You chose the genre of braindace movies that you'll sign to and it will begin a tale of corporate abuse and dark intrigues withing the idustry!
This idea is so much more focused and fresh than a tale of an unfortunate thef who stole from corporation and got in trouble for that… (Lol actually, why V wasn't internationally wanted when he/she left the plaza, if Night-City has cameras virtually everywhere! They even saw V's face on the roof. This is definitely a plot-hole)
Anyway, even chosing the corporate origin, I barely felt myself as a part of their world, it was so brief, so unfocused, almost random. Just like majority of characters you meet.
No rpg has perfectly done characters, but look at the first 2 witcher games (especially the witcher 2), look at Disco Elysium, Tyranny, Pillars of Eternity, Divinity… Even at the recent game Tell Me Why, I never expected a good story from Life is Strange devs, but the characters in Tell Me Why felt more realistic and alive to me despite the dead eyes, they are nuanced, insecure, have their convictions, regrets, even development… I also think there are more choices avalible in how you treat characters, which makes that small indie game a better, more immersive rpg for me than cyberpunk is.
A good story isn't always about action and explosions either. Cdpr definitely had some potential with it, but they chose the most cliche direction possible, because they simply lack vision.
It's a shame though, during the times of the witcher 1 and 2 they were my favourites.

  9. Let's ignore bugs for now.
Cyberpunk fails to deliver on its theme and aesthetic, the only thing in common with its namesake is the visuals and designs.
Cyberpunk fails to deliver on its promises. So many promises made that are not in the game.
Most importantly CDPR failed to consult and hire people from minority groups that could have addressed so many issues it has right now, and CDPR failed to provide a healthy work environment.

  10. I would like to add that some of the side missions are genuinely interesting but some just seem to end so abruptly, while you do get some data shards during ncpd and crime events it isn't as interesting as if they would have added more to the original side story.

I agree the pacing of the main story isn't great it really does set you up to ignore the side quests. If you do choose to do the side quests first it actually seems like the pacing is okay for the main story but it is still rushed Either way.

  11. the main story arch while was a decent story chain was very shallow… the story chain didnt feel rpg cuz nothing you decided would create new real story changes.. its story is pretty much like a 2d game where yeah you can jump over stuff but you still end up in the same spot…and you might have a few possibilites of endings ive played original nintendo games that offered more endings than this game..I love the game and hate it at the same time.. i totally agree with you..

  12. Now that as time have passed and it has become obvious that the player actually has a lot of agency in the game's choices (it's just very subtle and often hidden in dialogue) will you revise your opinions on that part of the game?

  13. Thx to the 1.5 patch I finally got to complete the game. The game lacks content, character motivation and character risks. No question the character development for both V and Johnny is great. In my first gameplay I got the ending where Johnny raided Arisaka building and replacing V in his body. I thought abt this ending for days and days. It was the first time we saw V outside his POV. And him saying to Johnny "Don’t forget me" hit deep.

  14. I know I sound like a broken record player but Witcher was just simply good in immersion and the world was soo believable. The animation were simple during the cutscene and probably outdated by today's standard but they were charming and very smooth to feel like it was clanky or robotic. IMO it's always really hard to build soo many multiple versions of the main protagonist instead building one damn good one like geralt
