Cyberpunk 2077: Stadia vs Xbox Series X – And The Results Are Surprising!

Cyberpunk 2077 gets a bespoke port for the Stadia platform, meaning that it’s not an enhanced last-gen version – as is the case on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. While not the best way to play the game, it’s certainly a fully viable contender – and it’s light years beyond the flawed last-gen versions. Oh, and did we mention that in many cases, it’s actually more detailed than the Series X version?

  1. So the takeaway from this:

    – Digital Foundry in the UK does not have access to fiber for some reason
    – Stadia doesn't do native 4K
    – Stadia doesn't do proper image quality at anything higher than 30 fps (and even then it dips lower than that) with lots of frame pacing issues.
    – Stadia compares favourably against the (crappy) Cyberpunk 2077 console ports.

I would have thought the using server farm rendering would have allowed to achieve greater performances than what you can get at home on a high end GPU, I guess I was wrong, this doesn't even achieve mid range levels of performance, it seems I'll keep buying GPUs for a long while.

  2. @1:30 wait wait wait wait.. you had to get all that trouble to get 60mbps ?!? 100 to 200mbps like the default for home connections. I know it's no low-latency office-fiber with up to 1gbps or something, but my phone does > 150mbps easily on 4g!

  3. You missed the biggest part… It doesn't work during peak hours

Longtime users are having a helluva time with the service now that Cyberpunk is out. It's unplayable. They oversold their capabilities. Quit recommending Stadia to people!

I live in London, Golders Green I get 80Mbps on Vodafone VDSL it's like 25 quid pcm and Digital Foundry doesn't have access to it? I don't get it.

  5. V dies in the end Jonny tries to save him but cant and you take over his body. You go buy a guitar and give it to a kid then take a bus outta town. Now dont waste your time on this game

  6. Google Stadia is still very restrictive in terms of coverage, my hopes is that Google realizes gaming streaming has potential in so many other countries outside US.

PD: 3:26, “8.28GiB per Second”, where do you live to get those speeds or what data plan is that hahah 😆?
