Since people have been asking me about Cyberpunk Online multiplayer mode I wanted to make one video where I explain my stance on that and why that mode is not coming any time soon. This will also be the last Cyberpunk Multiplayer video unless we get something substantial.

  1. Im not gonna lie
An online/multiplayer aspect would work with the RP community if they make it like that
But multiplayer for me? I just wanna have my guy and mines' characters riding through night city together and enjoying the ambience lol

  2. Right now i have 0 interest in multiplayer.
They should focus on expansions and still improving the game. After all is done, they can start working on the multiplayer mode.

  3. I’m gonna be honest they need to put more effort into the base game before they even think about making a multiplayer experience as good as The new patch was they still have a lot of work to do

  4. I hope they don't do multiplayer at all. The whole idea sucks.
The basis for a multiplayer game is its shallowness in terms of anything but pure gameplay and I don't think that's something CDPR should do, if they want something similar maybe they ought to implement some sort of co-op so that 2 or 3 people can go around doing Gigs or maybe some kind of separate story campaign.
The best would be a full story expansion that incorporates a couple of players, they have their own script, voices and so on.
Imagine a CDPR game where there are no dialogues and such stuff.

  5. I really don't want multiplayer at this point. I know they have different teams, but I think they should instead put all their resources into improving the game and working on the expansions. Then after that work on a new a Witcher title.

  6. I was walking around and thought it was odd CDPR never did much to subvert your expectations, e.g. someone attacks you in an intersection or an assassin is sent after you or whatever. Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood had a great multiplayer crowd mechanic where you pretended to be an NPC until you strike. In 2077 most V’s would stand out from the crowd though. Suppose you could ‘jack in’ to an NPC in someone else’s game.

  7. Sorry for off topic randomness BUT does anyone feel the cops feel different on 1.5 like they dont spawn behind you and yes thier dont have arrival animations But feel more organic bif that makes sense jad a fun cop shootout hence I ask

  8. It would be a nightmare to code the kind of multiplayer mode I would like. Forget the whole lobby thing. Few things would bore me more. It would take an incredible degree of belief and commitment from the developers to pull it off. Voice actors would become hoarse from all the lines of interactive dialogue. Netrunning would need a complete overhaul. What I want will not happen until game-developing AIs become a thing.

  9. Pretty sure microtransactions will be definitely be in CP2077 as they did mentioned long time ago, just that they were planning how to make it acceptable for players. Can't blame them, most servers need revenue to maintain, that's why most(not all) online games sell microtransactions and some even require subscriptions.
I think security issue is way more important if they ever come out with a CP2077 online since CDPR had been hacked (twice if I remember correctly)

I know, they have online games now, also lots of companies encountered hacked, what makes CDPR so special?
Well, CP2077 launched was a really big messed, they gained tons of haters and only managed to pacified some of them recently. (Not as if they're the only games company that messed up big time though)
So If they launch CP2077 online so fast and their security get breach, folks will bring out their touches, machetes and pitchforks?
Think they might need to wait for another year or two.
Beside, will you dare to register your credit card on a company which tend to get hack easily?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing CDPR, cause if I am, I should hate them starting from Witcher 3 due to faceless Geralt on my last playthrough.
Give them some time to improve, they need to be careful with their plans too, pretty sure they don't wanna be hate again.

  10. I just want a huge singleplayer expansion and another one after that.
Maybe they can do something like a online brawl arena in Pacifica where we can fight pvp with our farmed gear from the singleplayer mode.
I really hope that they dont act like other greedy companies (Rockstar Games) in the future when it comes to online stuff…

  11. CDPR has stated that development for Cyberpunk 2077's multiplayer(MP) component was only going to begin post-release of the singleplayer(SP) game. Even then, it was likely going to be pre-production. But then the SP game turned out to be so problematic and the data breach happened, so everything got pushed back. Sometime after, CDPR said they decided to take a different approach to the MP component, which plenty of games media reported as "CDPR cancelled Cyberpunk multiplayer", which is false. At this point, no one knows an iota of what this multiplayer component is. Frankly, it's better if people just focus on the expansions. MP is the one thing about Cyberpunk 2077 that CDPR has refrained from discussing any further, so it's best not to over-speculate and set unreasonable expectations.

  12. I would love to see a Cyberpunk multiplayer, but there would have to be an ending to this chapter in Vs story, I don't think you could have a multiplayer with Johnny Silverhands popping up every where. Plus I understand this would be a Massive gamble for CDPR, with competition such as GTA, Red Dead etc.
If CDPR are going to make a multiplayer, I want them to take there time and get the multiplayer as perfect as possible.

  13. I think the best way to ensure cyberpunk 2077 is a long term success the key is to release powerful modding tools. The world is amazing and has so much potential for modding, and as PCs get more powerful this game could be the new Skyrim with the right tool pack.
