Cyberpunk 2077 is getting a sequel, more Witcher games than you can shake a stick at, Dead Space reveals final gameplay, and a Nintendo Direct is coming this week. All on today’s GameSpot News.
As part of its strategy presentation, CD Projekt has announced that it has multiple new games in development. Although details are slim, the company did announce that a sequel to 2020’s Cyberpunk 2077 is in development under the codename “Project Orion” and will “prove the full power and potential of the Cyberpunk universe” when it is released.
Additionally, a number of new games set in The Witcher universe are also in various stages of development. These are all being developed under various codenames as well, and include Project Sirius, Project Polaris, and Project Canis Majoris.
For Project Sirius, this Witcher game is described as an innovative take on the series that is aimed at both veteran fans and people new to the franchise. Currently in pre-production, it is being developed by Flame in the Flood developer The Molasses Flood and has 60+ people involved in its creation.
Project Polaris is described as a story-driven open-world RPG built on the legacy of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and has more than 150 people working on it at CD Projekt Red. This game will be the start of a new Witcher trilogy that is aiming to be delivered within a 6-year period following the Polaris release.
A story-driven single-player open-world RPG set within The Witcher universe, Project Canis Majoris will be developed by a third-party studio that will be led by ex-Witcher veterans.
Beyond its two most well-known franchises, CD Projekt is also working on a new standalone IP, codename Project Hadar. It has been in “IP incubation” since 2021 and is currently in the conceptual phase. This game is described as being distinct from Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher and is being developed 100% internally.

I don’t get why people are looking forward to a sequel to one of the most hated and disappointing games in history. I’m just gonna assume people love drama.
Why would anyone want a sequel FIX THE GAME GOD DANM IT
hope the next cyberpunk game plays more like the anime than the OG game honestly. More than likely this new game would be in 3rd person and 1st
When can we pre-order Dead space
Its OK I'm not buying it
More fails from CD Project!
Amazing!!! Coming from a fan that loves these type of games & I wanted this game to succeed from the very first start. I originally bought the game for $10 on Black Friday. Since I already knew from how the state the game was already coming from past experience, & never wanted to buy a unfinished game never again. I saw the potential the game had & now that seeing the Netflix show I’m didn’t care if the show blew up, all I cared about was a positive review from the company saying how well they did from this & will be expanding from these ideas, literally this proves my point & have tears of joy in my face right now
I can’t believe they’re not adding more to Cyberpunk… How can you have such a rich franchise and leave it empty with nothing to do but the main story.
Sequel??? I'm still waiting for the game they showed off at E3 many moons ago!!!
Why is this MFer talking about Deadspace like its a new game lol.
Add a 3rd person in the CP sequel for my sake 🙏🏻
So…. expect Cyberpunk 2077 Part 2 to be released in December 2030 for the PS7, Xbox Series X Squared, Windows 20 and Google (whatever) 60% completed and full of bugs just like the first one. Because it sounds like their executives have learned nothing from the controversy now that they "turned the corner."
cyberpunk 2077 was never finished in development to begin with it, let alone giving it a sequel.. whatever..
I like a gamble, but even I won't be pre-ordering that
👍👊
So happy the cyberpunk universe will be further explored, so much untapped potential! Plus the next gen engine will be awesome!
The supporting cast will carry the Mario Movie🤞
I hope they don't jinx it, I mean that's good but just take one project one at a time least you want to repeat the same mistakes.
Im excited for the witcher series
CDPR, take your time. Please learn from your mistakes.
They really riding on that edgerunner popularity. I hope they didn't forget that they still need to redeem themselves.
I don't see a reason to work on a new cyberpunk. Just continue to build on this one ?… It has such a great foundation
What happened to Witcher 3 next gen?
Why am I not exited?
Witcher 3 is perhpas my fav game.
Still need lots of work on next gen port of 2077
Well they lost my trust. 0 pre orders from now on🤡
Oh boy I can't wait to be sold another broken pos AGAIN
Nice, I'm almost done with Witcher 3 🔥🤘🏾🖤!!!
i'll wait for the project can-abis
Just make The Witcher 1-2 remake and focus one IP at a time to prevent disastrous game release.
Given how long the last one was in development, the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel will likely ACTUALLY be released in 2077.
Lol another one? Game release wasn't too long ago. They probably got tired of fixing it so move to the sequel
CDPJ makes horrible single player games, the games are bland and are something made for ps2
Cyberpunk 2078
Really excited for a new cyberpunk, Mario movie, and I’m down for a dead space remake
Not excited to wait 5 years for a sequel to a broken game that took 10 years to make, and another game from a franchise that should be laid to rest but is being dug up to save face.
CDPR were supposed to be the best of the best, how do you hold off releasing a game for almost 10 years and cave at the last hurdle? Not holding my breath.
i hope cyberpunk 2077 sequel has a 3rd person view
1:26 I didn’t know cdprojectred uses eclipse if your a coding student you know what I am talking about.
That's outrageous that they'd take another go at cyberpunk. Never got it because I don't support broken games on delivery..fix them later philosophy. That's why I'd never buy Halo either.
Hopefully it will be like the transformation from witcher 1 to witcher 2 XD
I cant f!cking believe i am reading this … a cyberpunk 2077 sequel …. were do i pay
