  1. Just a heads up, you can obtain Jackie's guns and his bike. Plus go to Lizzie's and off to the left in Judy's lair is Lizzie's gun. They are iconic weapons as well as go into your armoury. Great playthrough so far.

  2. Jackie's loss hits me hard every time. You made the right call sending his body to his family. You're probably long since past it in your recordings, but if not, I suggest starting to gather together armor pieces to make up a nice suit for the funeral.

  3. Slowing it down, Johnny's hand does get destroyed. I couldn't tell in my playthrough. Gopher & I also did the exact same thing at the elevator. We also had the same loadout, and picked verbatim the same dialog options… my inner monologue was a lot less catchy, though.

  4. Was the scene where Johnny goes on stage and grabs the mic changed in an update or something? I'm sure when I played through that scene was longer and had him shooting (I assume blanks) into the crowd. Maybe I imagined it!!
    Great playthrough Gopher 👍

  5. A little note: Saburo Arasaka dies at his 150 (or something like that if we believe Jackie). And if we take his son age as 35-40, then this walking tree gonna knock his missis Arasaka 10-15 years after the events on this shard! Much kudos to cyber-medicine!
The only question is, where all his other sons and bastuards? A man that rich and lively should have millions of them running around.

  6. Narrative devices…
Couldn't V just have given a few MaxDocs or BounceBacks to Jackie?

V: I've got some stuff that'll heal you right up.
    Jackie: It's okay.
V: No, really. You health is low and these will help you a lot. Good as new in seconds.
Jackie: I can't… I'm not allowed to use those.
    V: WTF? Why?
    Jackie: It's… hard to explain.

  7. I just finished the video you posted on the 7th and had to pause several times to get my act together. You know…. wipe tears, blow nose, try to breath again. Less than 10 minutes in and here I am having to do it again. That conversation with Jackie in the elevator…. THAT is what makes me so glad I chose you, Gopher, to watch this game. You're roleplaying is fu*** brilliant. I feel like I'm watching a movie and it's wonderful!!! I promised Shirley to keep my chatterbox down to give the poor thing a break while her PC was being worked on and she had to deal with her channel on a laptop for comments 'n stuff. Imma make you that same promise. Just wanted you to know how much I appreciate you.

  8. Well, may not be the best video game ever, but it looks like it's gonna be one hell of a story!

Video games have existed for what? Fourty years now?
At the beginning, there was two lines and a dot. That was cutting edge.
Now see what has grown from that tiny seed.
This game is a mile marker on the road to gaming's full potential, and we are along for the ride.
There will be a day when movies and T.V. are things of the past.
A day when you will be able to live out great stories while making your own decisions to influence the outcome.

  9. Is this a post commentary or did you already play/see it before Gopher? You sound pretty normal, almost as if you'd have expected it on events where you would otherwise be surprised/excited/emotional.

  10. 53:00 … I think you COULD argue that someone planting and detonating a nuclear bomb in an office (among other stuff) building MAY, only perhaps… possibly … be called a terrorist…
And that an evacuation warning given minutes before is not helping too many people.

  11. 7:45 That's the exact same reaction I had. I didn't realize that T-bug was for sure 100% dead, and the way they wrote that prompt is so far removed from what actually comes out of V's mouth. Seriously, did CDPR not learn from Fallout 4?

  12. I think they lost a lot of good gameplay by taking Jackie here. He is easily the series' best character.
[edit]…there's so much promise here. The rest of the game is good, albeit bugged, but not like this. Granted, there's no way to keep the intensity for all those hours. So, you spin a few more central storylines, with strong characters… like Jackie. Or, actually, anyone; he would've been my first choice, but siding with the masses here. Rushed to market. Still a great game, but the potential – that the devs, of course, will never realize – haunts the title.
