It would be cool to see a mechanic that was similar to vampirism in Elder Scrolls: Oblivion or Skyrim. It starts out as a simple red flag that could be resolved with a simple antidote but as it goes unchecked it progresses into some increasingly positive/negative buffs that will require you to jump through increasingly difficult and complex hoops to subside the condition or cure it all together.

I'd say that the protagonist is already in cyberphsycosist cus it's us the player who's the intrusive thoughts that go around just doing what we want with no remorse or second thought

Cyberpsycosis is just Trauma Ampulfied by Cyberwear.. it makes no sense to be in Cyberpunk 2077 due to V understanding they're at deaths door already anyway so they no longer have extreme respronses to Trauma..
