No more cliffhangers, this is it. One way or another we’re getting Song out, but this wouldn’t be Cyberpunk if there weren’t going to be complications along the way.

I had problems with those cameras on my playthrough using the Nehan paired with the Satori, I thought it was just a problem with the Nehan against the camera, guess it's for everything
Love these games your playing – wouldn't play this one myself but have enjoyed watching and listening to every episode!
That pistol you use looks like a full auto Welrod silenced pistol. Reed's gun is based on the German C96 pistol. Wich could be converted into a full auto carbine.
Wait so you let Reed shoot you the first time you played this?
I will agree this was the most exciting ending although I was disappointed it didn't answer the whole Cynosure question (that's another vid). Should try it on Hard difficulty. That's when that fight at the train station gets really spicy.
Realistically, even with the onboard life support Songbird's chances of making the Moon in the 3 days it would take are zero. She's dead so killing Reed is for nothing other than maybe giving Mr Blue Eyes another AI to release on an unsuspecting world if it survives inside Songbird's corpse.
I got to say, boy scout though I am, I still feel handing Song back to Reed, and Myers, was the best result. I still don't feel it was shitty about my choice and frankly I was fed up by this point with Song's betrayals. As you said time and time again earlier in your playthroughs Reed always told us the truth while Songbird never did. For me Songbird had to pay the Piper at some point for all those lies and betrayals. IMO Reed doesn't deserve to die and Alex deserves her cushy job in Monaco. Choose Songbird and you have killed both of them. For me that choice allowed me to, in the words of Eccleston's Dr Who: "Just for once Everyone lives." Well except Takemura, but that guy is even worse than Reed when it comes to being a loyal dog to Saburo. It also means that the unsung real hero of this story, Yorinobu (in a way) gets to win as well and achieve what he wanted to do all the way back in 2020. Certainly makes sure Daddy never comes back.
Great game, great playthrough. And best DLC ever.
Now I'm off to Arasaka Tower again and then Crystal Palace because Smasher should always die and I'd rather make my own ending than the one awaiting Jingles next episode. However adding this new ending does allow you to truly answer Dex's question right at the beginning of this story:
"Do you want to live a quiet life dying in bed smelling slightly of urine. Or go out guns blazing, a legend in Night City?".
Well do you Cyberpunk?
I‘d argue that the songbird flies away ending is the best one
18:40 im surprised jingles didnt comment on the banger soundtrack!
Good heavens, watching you tank those sniper shots almost makes me regret putting my game on hardcore and then getting the Hardcore_22 realistic combat mod.
No matter my level one sniper shot will likely either kill me or almost kill me.
It forces me to play conservatively and Adam smasher becomes something of a pain in the arse!
Haven't tried it with phantom liberty, but I don't have that till Christmas.
Something I'm escaping hospital for the day to spend it with my mum, step dad and siblings
Wow I would of done that completely differently
Someone better pick up that phone, 'cause I f**king called it!
Just one cure. Knew it.
had to admit; Reed's driving may have been the most entertaining ending. All because Jingels pulled a Jingels; Somehow his vehicle always ends up as a wreck
See you next time on, "How Long Can Jingles Stretch This Out?" 🤣🤣
I told you not to shoot Reed for this reason.
9:40 Jingles: "Try to be positive"
me: "Okay. I'm positive we're fucked._"
Excelent.
The ending with Song Moon-bound felt a lot like the end of Gattica to me. Interesting that Gattica's setting is just as fucked-up of a future as CP's.
So many choice endings. Great watching you play
I played the “face in the crowd” ending and I hated it. When you see V post cure (especially if you play a female) V looks like a drown puppy. It was so sad I actually cried. Better to go out in a blaze of glory.
I never saw this ending as I never trusted Song and was never going to kill Reed but since we won’t get the ending I did which ends with V and Reed sitting in a desert wondering WTF just happened, it was the epitome of ‘nobody wins’ but I still consider it “the best” ending since everyone survives. Still though the DLC left me cold inside. I wanted Song to be okay but not at the expense of all the innocent people she was willing to take down and certainly not at the cost of Reeds life, she once again didn’t trust anyone and went too far.
Personally I prefer the alien isolation ending. The one Jonny would approve of
😍😍😍
Having not played the game myself, I dare say giving Songbird up is the right thing to do, not scummy at all. If we go by the notion that for V as a merc, his contract is his bond, that assumes the contract is going to be honoured, on both sides. You get hired to do a job in exchange for payment. From the very start, there was no plan for you to receive your payment. You were there to do her dirty work and then fuck off. If she had no plans of holding up her end of the deal, you are under no obligation to do her the courtesy of honouring the contract and doing what you were hired for.
You could argue that if you break your contract, you shouldn't exactly be getting the payment, i.e. the cure, which is what you could end up getting if you give Songbird up. Thing is though, you did do the work already. A tonne of it. Rescured Myers, did stuff with Reed and Alex, hijacked a transport, kidnapped two netrunners, impersonated them, stole property, got Songbird out of there. You have earned what was promised. And Songbird was gonna fuck you over anyway, so screw her.
You could also argue, Songbird was dealt a bad hand, Myers pretty much signed her death warrant with the shit she had her doing, and Songbird didn't have a way out. So you might say she deserves a lucky break. Does she, though? Songbird only ended up being forced to work for the FIA because she hacked into Militech using FIA as a proxy. By all rights she should be in prison (well, they actually just planned to kill her), and it's nobody's fault but hers. She didn't have to pull those hacking gigs, but she chose to, and that comes with consequences. She doesn't just get to absolve herself of all the responsibility and play victim now to justify exploiting your situation and leaving you for dead.
As a long time OG TTRPG Cyberpunk player/Game Master, i was quite surprised/disappointed that Reed hadn't boobytrapped the launch vehicle. It's what my players would have done.
This series got me into the base game which is some of the best gaming fun I’ve had in years, even on my ancient PC, it’s very playable at 1080p. Thanks Jingles!
No more cliff-hangers. Jinglesbait accepted!
What a game! Truly splendid!
This game is a Rollercoaster of emotions!
"be careful what you wish for " or "beware of CD Project Red's arbitrary writing".. still cringing at the moralizing comments of the original game
loot ocd
I’m pretty sure that there is no ‘happily ever after’ ending in this game.
I agree with you Jngles. Despite everything she has done….. I would set her free. I just can't see myself doing anything different than you have. Maybe a diferent class character but I'd still do the same as you. This is brilliantly written.
I wish you'd actually show the path where you don't betray Reed.
Spoilers Ahead
So, i certainly agree with sending Songbird to the moon is the correct ending, especially if you go with Dont Fear the Reaper.
Remember, Mr Blue Eyes bankrolled SoMi's trip to the moon, 100% he would have the data regarding the cure, and this completely changes the whole context of the DFTR ending. There was a cure, there damn well might be another out there, and out of everyone out there, Mr Blue Eyes has the data to potentially make it happen.
And V knows this.
