Caging Songbird felt like a pretty evil choice just to get a new ending and although V keeps his life he loses everything in the process.

  1. This world sure has a kink for pain and suffering. Not a single happy ending in sight. Not even a good or decent ending either. I wish they had put at least 1 good ending in the game. But whatever Its done now, Lets just hope their next project is not some other pain and suffering only game.

  2. Coma is a wild card it reminded me of the anime Please Teacher about a kid 13yr who went into a coma and when woke up was 18 years old but not mentally stuff happened he went to school due to his coma he was behind in education and went back to school he was married to his teacher legally age-wise and consent he was allowed to but then he found young girls attractive like teenage romance and all that. The point of the story was whether V was in a love story or not time moves on and so will he this ending was not bad in any way.

  3. thing is, if we send Songbird to the moon, what is truly going to happen? either she dies on the way or she is to weak to defend herself up there and will be used as a lab experiment over there, maybe even something worse. However choosing to use this cure seems to have a lot of negatives for everyone.

  4. I am not sure but my headcannon is that Judy meant that V shouldn't come with the expectation that things will be the same. V might visit at some point after having adjusted to their life. It's still a bit sad but it's not like people can't adjust and move on. People can reconnect with different outlooks. It reminds me a little bit about the better call saul ending like that. Going from the exceptional, what V had with Judy and being a top tier merc to normalcy is depressing in it's own right but V now has the luxury of time to adjust and heal those wounds. I don't see why they wouldn't be on friendly terms though not being their most important person still sucks. That said I still prefer the star ending massively.

“This is why you don't bring back fallen warriors, sooner or later they're going to see everything they fought for's turned to shit.” a bit strong but not wrong, with vik as well.

"A happy ending? For folks like us? Wrong city. Wrong people." Cyberpunk in a nutshell.

  5. So in my first playthrough I got the merc ending and got ditched by Judy? Now 3 years later I have decided maybe NOW I will get a chance with her and she still ditches me. LMAO

  6. These new endings (via the DLC) with Judy and Panam are hilarious. V. "loses everything" because he/she decided not to give loved ones a detailed update before undergoing a risky operation, or even bother to task anyone with informing loved ones if the operation went sideways. Hilariously stupid and lazy writing.

  7. Taking the surgery ending might save V's life, but in the end, there's a steep price for betraying yourself & those that V loves!

Everyone must know that a light that burns twice as bright burns half as long… but so too the inverse is true a light that burns twice as dim burns so very long.

  8. Damn. That's even more depressing. I always wondered how Judy handled V being away so much and often never knowing if she'd come back. In this context it probably felt like an eternity. I like that subtle touch in the way she responds. Asks V not to cause any trouble. Because if V shows up – Judy will go to her and ruin her peaceful new life. She can't be in that kind of pain again. She has to let V go.

  9. I just don't understand why Judy would do that, yes I get it. Gone for two years, but she didn't seem to care at all even when she said sorry. Now I'm sad as hell, V and Judy really meant a lot too me as characters. This just feels so wrong, I can actually imagine V breaking down into tears when she gets home.

  10. Why are so many people "If you dont like V suffer than play a other game!"….wtf?! Cyberpunk is dark, is depressing. So…nothing at all can be good? Ok, why even tell a story, just kill everything. This argument with "this is cyberpunk, it has to be depressing and bad end" is so stupid! Only with good parts, happy memoris somthing can also be really sad. If just everything is sad, death and depression it just get "meh, we all suffer anyway. Why even bother?"

Some sad and bad endings would be ok, but for the DLC…god dame, just one happy way vor V with his love! Nomad-end is a little bit this way, even if we dont know if there gone save V.

  11. Damn V been in an coma for 2 years hoping things would have got better but all he got was an massive gut punch but on the judy's ending she was actually nice enough that shes moved on and while panum was straight up hateful with him

  12. Yeah wtf is the tower ending? Hurr durr lets not tell anyone im gonna be going into extreme surgery and may die. This ending just seems to cdpr going "you want an ending where v lives? Good its gonna be just as bad as the arasaka one then"

  13. What about us players who reject chrome and still have a strong stealth headhunter build? Maxed out Reflexes, Cool and Body. Like the majority of my gigs that made me a legend in NC I did only using stealth, avoiding combat and sometimes just talking sense and being diplomatic. The fact that this ending just says that without chrome you just have to be a hobo is beyond preposterous. I cant believe we waited 3 years for this alternate ending.

  14. For those thinking panam was the right choice. I rather be told i got remarried or fuck off after a coma then having a buddy of mine and hers call me and tell me to stop calling her when she could have had the balls to do it herself. So in the end theres no right choice v dies anyway alone

  15. lol what a shitty ending maybe if the devs , made a story line where V does'nt leave like a mysterious Asshole then said Love interrest could come along or something and they start their new life in some other city

  16. so, the best ending is still don't fear the reaper. v and johnny riding shot gun in a blaze of glory through arasaka tower, and you send johnny out with alt, and leave with aldacados, panam and judy.

  17. okay yeah, this is how the devs tell you that you fucked up by not picking alternative options, Judy ditching you, losing your cyberware, losing your best choom, Silverhand,
    damn… V's fucked.
