  1. I literally just started playing Cyberpunk two days ago. I've had it installed on my PC since I built it early pandemic, and I just never felt like it was the right time to start it up. I think maybe some of my Saint's Row open world disappointment may have contributed, as well as Gene Park's gushing on Twitter, but good god I love the shit out of this game and can't get enough. I have a ton of vanilla content to slog through still, but I can't wait for more new stuff either. If it's on the level of a talking gun that occasionally hums Rihanna's Disturbia, then I'm all fucking in.

  2. This ones for Greg. When playing open world RPGs you are generally a God by the end of the game and can destroy everything without much thought. If you want more of a challenge increase the difficulty

  3. The division wasn’t a bad game it just lacked story. It was literally hey you’ve arrived at Central command in this case it with the White House in the second game go do this. Even when you went on a mission it wasn’t like all this is a story oh I understand what’s going on it was just go kill some bad guys.

What I don’t get actually is one game has given everyone a hint at what they need to do if they want to make a free to play TVE shooter one game did it not that others haven’t been successful at making free PVE shooters but I think you have to go back to one of the ones that nobody expected to be successful at PVE. ME3 I said all the time they did not see how successful the PVC mold in that game would be I know people who stay till play to this Day because it is that good. It’s so good they were literally considering should we launch this again this generation. One of the reasons why they didn’t was because people might have said hey where is all that content I bought before I don’t want to start from scratch they didn’t want to face backlash if that’s how people would feel. It was so good BioWare changed the next several games in their series to have PVE modes not nearly a successful because they tried to do too much or because they weren’t really suitable to the universe in question but ME3 showed everybody this is how you make one of these. For years we’ve just been waiting for someone to say you know what we’re going to do exactly what they did and just improve it. Better mechanics better aiming and shooting more levels more classes characters and things of that sort that’s all you had to do you could’ve kept it free to play and people would’ve eaten it up but nobody has made that game yet.

  4. Cyberpunk made a strong first impression on me as it was fairly big free and ran well on my PC. That funeral scene was basically the peak before it started to unravel as the rest of the game couldn't maintain the high quality and intensity for me. The skill system and combat didn't have the legs to support the length of the game, it wasn't balanced well outside of that extended prologue

  5. I tried to play after they fixed a lot of the bugs, but my save was totally fucked still and I couldn’t play any mission. Sucks but I’ll have to try playing again years from now cause it just sucked too much to lose all those hours lol

  7. Ubisoft are so weird, they're desperately chasing mobile trends because they seem to want to make those ever recurring big bucks on Games As A Service. So they turn their main titles like AC Valhalla into these ever bigger games, but no one on consoles cares (every new AC game has less completion than the one before it), and then they make these mobile games that are these relatively shallow games that they totally don't focus on and leave them to go out and die. Like how hard is it to then just make the console games good and more concise and make the mobile games sprawling. How does one company make so many mistakes in a row? Yves has got to go, man doesn't know how to steer that ship.

  8. It can and should be another GOW2018, until it stops. Feels like they are playing close to the vest purposely, which considering how many leaks, deep dives, years long previews is a nice change. I don’t think they want us to know a thing about this game, and I kind of hope we don’t get much more. It is rare we get a AAA title without leaks, tons of info or truly know what we are getting into. There’s a Rockstar level of info we are getting which is a breathe of fresh air in a landscape where you can mentally review a game before being able to play it now

  9. CP2077 took so long to develop and so expensive that it would make sense to keep doing a few expansions but that said it has SO much baggage
I loved parts of CP but I don't think it's well designed in many ways, largely the combat, and the driving doesn't feel great.

  10. I came back to Cyberpunk with the patch 1.5 It was the experience I was mostly expecting. There are some complaints like the life paths and the fashion that the 1.6 transmog will be fixing. I am clamoring for more Cyberpunk if they and I wish they were doing a second expansion like they promised.

  11. Before Cyberpunk 2077 launched, they commented that they didn't do enough Witcher expansions so the idea was they'd do multiple. They've now said they'll do one expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, but they're still working on the Cyberpunk franchise, and they've moved to a parallel development model where they can work on two AAA games at once. They've also shifted ot using Unreal Engine for future games, so I suspect after the expansion they'll start working on the next Cyberpunk game, possibly a multiplayer one.
