Some timestamps:

[MENUS and SETTINGS]
00:00 – Intro and general stuff (Audio, UI, etc.)
03:55 – Controls menu (sensitivity, etc.)
06:26 – Keybinds menu (important stuff)
11:04 – Gamma/Brightness calibration (SDR)
12:10 – Video options
12:51 – Graphics Settings
[IN GAME]
15:46 – Indoors area quality presets testing
19:28 – Dynamic FidelityFX CAS (resolution scaling)
22:33 – Dynamic Scaling in “cutscene”
24:44 – Screen Space Reflections
27:33 – Walk/Running around Apartment Complex
31:29 – Local Shadows testing
33:16 – NPC crowded area testing
35:57 – Crowd Density setting tested

This game is very, very demanding, period. It also does look really, really good, and it’s from CDPR, have you played The Witcher 2? On release? First couple of years? Remember Supersampling? I do. Also Witcher 3, same, quite demanding for Kepler cards, even Maxwell, back in 2015.

Alright that seems like too much disguised CDPR praise, so time to bash them hard: this release made me quite sad, really; It’s another case of a game launching with subpar PC keybinds, no less, and I hate that. The keys can be remapped via config file edit and, if you want more info you can check this thread at GOG: https://www.gog.com/forum/cyberpunk_2077/cannot_rebind_move_forward/page1

The GTX 1070 really struggles to even keep steady 40 FPS at decent settings in this game, 1080p, sure I can get it to reach 60+ at Low settings, but at Medium it gets harder, around 20% performance cost for each preset jump, no less.

As of the time of finishing this video, it seems a new patch, 1.04, will be coming out, possibly today or tomorrow, with some fixes and improvements, so that will probably make this video a bit less relevant, but I’ll check the next patch too if I can, and see any meaningful changes.

As usual, I hope this can be useful to any of you, and I’ll see you in the next one : )

  2. static CAS @80 +50 sharpening in NVCP with low/normal settings @1080p is the only way i could maintain 60fps but to be honest the game looks amazing even on lower settings

  3. My game is so fuck it looks like a 2005 game indoors. Shadows missing everywhere on max. No shadows inside the car, interior is glowing. I put cascade shadows on high and get a square of black shadows only near me and nowhere else.
Fuck my life your game looks so good on low mine looks like shit all the time.
Even my fov slider doesn't do anything…

  4. Thank you A LOT for these type of testing with various settings (+timestamps) so others can see how the graphics performs. I suggest you to make these whenever new patch comes out, with optimal settings (sorta like 60fps), low, medium, high and ultra

  5. The game doesn’t look all that special on pc but on PS5 it’s even worse. Looks like it’s a decade old game. The animations bother me the most I think.

  6. I have not tried latest patch, may later, slept to long, stayed up too late. Feel like I have a game hangover 🙂 HDR btw isn't properly working, its more less converting sdr to hdr, so raising peek luminance is also raising the black floor. HDTVtest channel made a video for ps5, which is exactly what pc version does too. Getting close to end of your video where your saying your tired. I went through 2 monster energy drinks first night 🙂
