  3. !Spoiler discussion!

I refused to sign the contract in this ending. I really liked this ending as it is my first ending. Funny how I ended up with this ending 'cause I couldn't stand Johnny and wanted nothing more than to one up him and get rid of him most of all… to save V. If only the game could've allowed me to get rid of that parasite on my terms and avenge Jackie without having to upset Takemura.

Note: you can save Takemura and you'll be able to meet him in The Devil ending.

Man I'll tell you one thing, Takemura was kinda heartbroken when V rejected that contract. He really wanted to see V again.

  4. I feel like Arasaka could definitely use V since the guy bested Sandayu Oda and fucking Adam Smasher, as well as dozens (if not hundreds) of Arasaka soldiers, all on his own. They'd have nothing to gain from betraying his trust but they'd have a very powerful ally to gain from giving him a new body. Hell, if you refuse their offer Hanako calls you in the credits and outright says they could use V's talents while he's still alive.
And if you saved Goro, he will absolutely vouch for you, and Takemura's opinion absolutely means something considering he's the one who set everything in motion regarding Hanako and Saburo retaking control of Arasaka. And he was Saburo's personal guard.
I like to think V would be named Head of Security in Arasaka since Smasher is dead.

Selling your soul to Arasaka definitely nets you the highest chance of survival, but then again it depends on what you value most : survival or freedom.

  5. Hajime, lemme ask you somethin'. What would you say to a person who walked right into their greatest foe's jail to save their life?

Hm. I would say, "All right. But do not forget the way home."

  6. The way the song hangs after the last 'But a thing of beauty…' really hammers home how empty and unfulfilling this ending is. Even more potent that the next line was supposed to follow is 'Will never fade away'; it's like the song saying 'You did. You did fade away.'

  7. I'd trust Arasaka with storing my psyche loads more than I trust Alt, because:

1). While corps show general disregard for human life, Alt shows it worse when you inject her into the servers and thus killing everyone on your level in the tower, both soldiers and unarmed workers, even the ones you defeated non-lethally already, to where even V was horrified from the senseless killing.
2). Alt never explains what her "greater good" intention is with the "prison of souls" and absorbing them, but just says it's "beyond your understanding".
3). Arasaka completed their end of the bargain for you, and by putting Saburo in Yorinobu's body, the corp mostly stabilizes again (probably not good but you've helped their return to SOME level of honorability). And in V's six months left, who knows if they'll wage war with Arasaka again for Johnny.

  8. The part where V rips the necklace off hopefully that meant that V is not gonna give up and the story continues off on dlc expansions looking for a cure for his/her condition
