Can't wait for the day I hear CP2077 news and its actually good news. Feels like the Fallout 76 news cycle all over again, except I didn't care about Fallout 76.
Is this only dealing with mods & security flaws or the game as a whole even when you use your own files?
The latest Cyber engine tweaks mod on Nexus has a fix for this, of course a cdpr one would be better 🙂
What about Xbox one, PlayStation 4?

Why can't a game just be run in ring 1-3 instead of the dreaded 0? Why would games have admin privileges?
People should never go willy nilly to download mods & save games from strange/unknown sources. Nexus Mods is the safest & most popular site so far for mods & save games.
Is there any actual case of this malware attack? Because my guess "the FAKE mods" are most likely a trainer.exe stuffs instead of actual manual tinkering mods. Plenty of fake trainer mods out there. For trainers, the safest ones are probably from sites like FLING trainer or WeMod or Cheat Engine stuffs.
BUT STILL, always prepare & checks everything before & after downloads.

Downloading stuff, whatever it may be, from random places on the internet is just plain asking for trouble. But I'm sure there will be people who've done that who's going to blame CDPR.
Useful warning, thanks! Was planning to install the 2018 Fem V mod. Even if that mod is safe, better be careful with everything until this fixed.
Lol I was going to start a new playthrough with mods a few days ago… even started downloading the mods. I got lazy and ended up not installing a single one, thinking eh, I'll do it if I have more time during the weekend so I have all the mods at once. Nice save.
I hate that the internet currently has a massive HATE BONER for this game, and now they are going to read this article and declare once again: CDPR BAD! And it's very sad, because as broken and unfinished this game is, it's a very legitimately good game. Not even F76 recieved this much hate…… Just wish the internet could give CDPR a chance, goddammit. 😡😡😡😡
