In this video Dreamcastguy rants about the new console sales numbers for Cyberpunk 2077 which show the game falling off extremely hard in raw sales data. Also we talk about the idea of Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 having a smaller budget if Final Fantasy 7 Remake doesnt sell more, which I think means we will get a Final Fantasy 7 Remake coming to PS5 PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and possibly have new DLC content exclusive to it like The First Solder or Ever Crisis.

  1. Even though Cyberpunks criticism is well deserved as far as glitches and such, it makes me disappointed to see so many people didn't get to dive into the stuff the game does well. The story and characters are phenomenal compared to a lot of other games such as AC Valhalla.
My only wishes are we had a third person camera option and some vehicle customization.

  3. What's so baffling about the Cyberpunk situation? The game sucks, it's as simple as that. Bugs and glitches aside, the game just isn't what was promised. Hopefully this is an indication that people are finally starting to wake up to the fact that game developers are not their friends and only want their money.

  4. The sales numbers for FF7 Remake really don't surprise me given that it was a timed exclusive. I have 3 other close friends that grew up playing the original FF7 and loved it and none of them purchased it either. I was going to pick it up myself but then I played the demo and saw some spoilers online. Not a fan of the story changes and I felt that the combat was slightly mediocre. I'll buy it eventually but on PC where I could potentially mod it. None of my other buddies game on PS4 and so if they had released it on PC they definitely would have picked it up right away.

  5. Word of mouth has ALWAYS been a games sales driving force. I still think that most gamers are not watching reviews. There would be WAY WAY more views on videos if that was the case. I do believe that gamers that do watch inform the l gamers that don’t watch reviews or videos..

  6. If you think 7.5 million in 9 months is bad, then you have no clue. That's more than XIII sold in 7 years. It's more than XV did on PS4 AND Xbox lifetime! VIIR is only on PS4! Those sales before the inevitable PC and next gen versions are insane.

  7. LOW sales? it outsold a great game like Resident Evil 2 remake instantly. from what i have seen even when cyberpunk works its not even that good of a game so it certainly did not deserve the sales it got

  8. Square fucked up, they waited WAYYYY too long. (FFVII Remake should have come out on PS3 as ONE game, it would have been MASSIVE sales) but they waited till most of the fanbase is in their 40s and younger generation kids dont give a fuck about this game. Also, they should have made it one game, now, each part is gonna sell less and less and no one is gonna go back and play the older ones again when they can just skip ahead. What a mess.

  9. Square Enix are notorious for having over the top expectations when it comes to their game sales so its little surprise that it hasn't sold enough for them. I think the reason the game hasn't sold as many as they thought has a big part to do with the episodic nature of the remake. Myself and a couple of my friends for example are simply waiting until the whole story is done and rather than pay for each individual entry we are going to get the inevitable complete edition in a nice box and play all 3 games as one. I think lots of people are the same.

  10. Final Fantasy 7 Remake came out when the covid 19 Pandemic started and all the shops “in the uk” shut so people couldn’t get their pre orders or copies of the game right away.

Also Cyberpunk2077 is class, I’m playing it on ps5 and have no real bugs or glitches

  11. I have no intention of buying CP2077, but I've probably watched more gameplay than most players have actually spent playing the game! You could call it a morbid fascination! It's no surprise the sales are down, it's simply not a good game, regardless of platform!!!

  12. There’s no way FF7 remake didn’t make Square enough money to justify a grander Part 2. I mean Witcher 3 was amazing and who cared about that at launch? It wasn’t even on my radar. FF7 part 2 has the potential to blow us all away. Why would square hold back punches especially after Avengers?

  13. Square Enix are straight idiots if they release FF7R on Xbox Series X. Especially since there is hardly an install base for the new consoles. Plus, Japanese games DO NOT (And never will) sell well on Xbox consoles. All these dumb-** developers are doing the exact opposite when it comes to bringing new games to certain consoles. The new consoles release with not much of an install base (Yet), but they get still the new games. The Nintendo Switch is at 80 million sold worldwide and growing, but we do not get that new games, etc. And their lame excuse is that their games were in development for years before the existence of the Switch. LIARS! WTF is wrong with that?

I am glad Cyberpunk is failing. Sales DO NOT equal quality!

  14. Reason I didn't buy FF7-R is because square were not clear with their future roadmap. I'm not investing in a game when I don't know how many parts it's going to be in. When the future parts are to be released. And most importantly, will future releases be on the PS4? I'm not plannimg on getting a PS5 so I don't want to start a story I might never be able to finish.

  15. I think Square Enix would be a great choice for Sony. They have a good relationship and also rpg franchises which PlayStation lacks. PlayStation makes fantastic third person action adventures with rog elements.

  16. Good.. cyberpunk deserves that right now ! It’s a poorly performing game at the moment .. it’s not what I PAID FOR as advertised! I beat it.. deleted it.. and now waiting for a physical PS5 version to release.. I don’t even want the updates .. I want a FIXED new game disc .. AS PROMISED .. and personally .. they should be obligated to allow us to exchange our BROKEN ass console Versions in for a hopefully FIXED .. normal as promised PS5 version .. and re release a fixed ass PS4 /Xbox version as well .. I don’t feel bad at all it’s 34.99.. they earned that

  17. Michael does life was the only honest reviewer to come out unlike all the Shills around including this channel. The problem is reviewers are so far up game companies backsides they’ll litterally say anything to keep in with that company for more codes. Early Reviewers, NDA’s, Shills and misguided casuals have ruined the industry whilst actual gamers have faught back for once.

  18. Whats baffling to me, is that Cyberpunk is on a top 20 list for games on console at all.
There are literally THOUSANDS of far superior gaming experiences, compared to the current alpha build of that game.
