  1. Yorinobu is a complete moron imo. He thought it was a good idea to start a 5th corporate global war with Militech against Arasaka in hopes of destroying Arasaka. But all he really is doing is creating a power vacuum for other corps to fill in, and Militech is more than capable of filling that power vacuum. Militech is arguably way worse than Arasaka themselves, they are constantly executing nomads, supposed smugglers and random people wandering around the borders and hold them Captive. They are a blatantly authoritarian regime with the full backing of the NUSA government.

Arasaka are evil, but they are usually only executing people who screwed with them or killing people who may have dirt on them. Still evil, but they don't go around killing innocent people like Militech.

Also who is to say that Militech won't create their own version of Soulkiller and Mikoshi by using old Arasaka research and hiring/smuggling Arasaka engineers like Hellman? Then the world would be even worse than before.

  2. A lot of people think when he said “becoming the bomb” this was a last resort thing but he would have slaughted Silverhands chip, knowing he stood to do the most damage to the company as CEO.

Some even theorize he planned the heist, maybe not all of it but he wanted the relic to be stolen. In hopes of Silverhands construct being revived. That he actually wanted to voodoo boys to get it and that’s why he involved Netwatch at all. Because he really didn’t stand to gain anything from giving Johnny’s construct to Netwatch, in the emails in his office, even they question him on this. But by involving them, the voodoo boys would be bound to hear about it.

This comes down too he wanted Alt to destroy Mikosi, destroying any trace of his father forever, because he knew he couldn’t get away with this.
