  1. To all the PC players complaining about the 2.21 update.

    If you have a large load order and diverse mods ….. yes your game will be broken for a month until all your mods get updated or until you delete all the 2.2 version specific mods that don't have updates yet. The core mods are mostly already updated but these are not the only version dependant mods.

    But you do not have to update, especially for such little actual gains as 2.21

    Search ….. Steam manifest CP2077 read only ….. to block the update until you are ready to do it on your own terms. Personally, if you actually play the game …. I wouldn't update for at least a month.

  2. I'd rather they fix the bug that causes permanent fps loss when you use ingame menus (like crafting, perks, etc).
    My old budget PC drops from solid 59 FPS to ~28 and the only thing that helps is restarting the game.

    2 years later still dunno if it's caused by mods or stock, but I refuse to play without mods, so… suffering it is.

  3. It's awesome. I lose about 5-6 fps without Frame Gen ( avg 90 fps), but with the improved visuals, and reduced issues introduced with DLSS and Frame Gen, I can have it enabled. Getting 127fps minimum at 3440 – 1440 with optimaised Ray Tracing settings, Balanced DLSS and Frame Gen on a 4070 Ti Super + 7800X3D. Looks better than before, even better than Quality without Frame Gen before the update.

    I do have a weird rubber banding issue though, like network rubber banding. It was there before this update, and only in 2077. No other games have this weird issue, not even online games

The new upscaler model in DLSS 4.0 is heavier to run, but the graphical improvements are considerable, meaning the update is not to improve performance but to significantly improve the quality of upscaling, the frame generation component in DLSS 4.0, on the other hand, is designed to improve performance, mainly by reducing VRAM usage by using a different technique for frame generation.

  5. I think we will get updates until the REDKit for Cyberpunk 2077, after that, I guess they can leave it to modders to add or fix stuff since now modders can easily do using the tools CDPR used to create Cyberpunk 2077.

  6. I was playing around with path tracing dlss 4 on my 3070. Obviously a 3070 cant run that very smoothly but surprisingly I noticed better fps and render latency. I'm also using the dlss framge gen to fsr frame gen mod as that surprisingly still works.
