  1. What disappoints me more than anything about this announcement is that CDPR is finally ditching last gen because of the development restrictions. Imagine what could have been if they never tried satisfying console manufacturers. I can't help but think that that CP2077 could have been so much better. Covid hits, supply chains are disrupted, console launches in turn become disrupted. Lack of next gen console availability hits consumers HARD. Sony and MSoft's only move is to pressure one of the only unowned devs to release on every console to make sure sales stay up. Imagine what COULD'VE been. CDPR develop for mid range pcs and adapt to consoles.

  2. I'd have to wait for the equivalent of the "Unofficial Skyrim Patch" but for Cyberpunk 2077 before I even thought about buying the game.

add: gunna be difficult for that to happen though. modders can't even add stuff like quests and whatnot like the can with Skyrim.

  3. The game seems playable now so far playing on PS5, none of the 100+ crashes I had it's first couple of months and the world feels a bit less like I got sucked into a crazy backrooms version of the world and more like an actual game world now. It also seems to actually hold 60 fps in performance mode and maintains around 30fps so far in spite of how many explosions are going on in ray traced mode. If you play on last gen though you might regret not taking those refunds when the game first came out while they were there.

  4. I always have a hard time modding. I follow the install directions (if given) and seems to never take. Doesn't help that when it comes to software side of things I'm complete dog sh!t.

  5. There were no promises that an expansion would be last gen, so no promise broken there. And good on them, they shouldn't have released ANY of this game on last gen. That is what fucked them

  6. I feel much like Bellular did and does. When it released, I figured I would wait however long it took to fix the game up (although my interest had diminished thoroughly after learning they took the game in a different direction than was advertised for years and years), and now I'm just going to wait for DLC and mods that hopefully make the game more like what CDPR lied it would be like.

  7. I regret buying CP2077 on launch. With all of the problems facing the game, I outlined 3 core areas that CD Project Red have to fix BEFORE releasing any expansion. These fixes need to be implemented for free, and the expansion can be build and released on top of it:

    1) Equipment and looting
The game's power scaling is designed like a looter. They need to reel in the looter scaling so that individual finds and crafts feel more lasting and impactful.

    2) Storage
Not many people know this, but the game's storage systems are obtuse nightmare. You have 2 main storages, Safehouse Storage and Vehicle Storage. These 2 storages have their own distinct ruleset about what can and can't be stored in them, and are further subdivided into smaller subgroups. You can't work out these hidden rulesets and subdivisions without just trying to put things in them and seeing what happens.

They need to massively overhaul the way these storage systems work, and ideally unify them. Because right now its very clear that multiple teams with zero communication developed these distinct storages.

    3) Police
Everyone already knows about this. The overhaul is badly needed. Simply making police spawn further away from you is slapping a bandaid over a missing limb and calling it a day,

From this announcement, it looks like they are STILL promising the mythical police rework. The equipment and inventory rework I heard about a while back is nowhere to be seen. And there's zero mention of a storage overhaul.

I feel scammed for getting this game. If they were going to go the Bethesda route and offer a buggy but open game that's improved with mods, I would've waited until all the updates and expansions have been released and then bought the GOTY edition. I would NOT have bought this game on launch.

  8. And I think you don't even buy Unreal Engine usage, per say. By using it to develop your game, you agree to forfeit a percentage of sales. This is one of the reasons why Unity is alluring, because they charge a flat licensing fee, iirc.

  9. As someone who is a huge fan of a cyberpunk style games. This fucking hurts. It’s great that we getting new content and fixing that horrible police system. But this game came to a end quicker than I was anticipating.

  10. It's a bit weird to me how big emphasis you put on those mods with graphics improvements while graphics wasn't really an issue with cyberpunk and still isn't and probably will still hold out a long ass time. Game with mods that were around for over a year now is quite servicable and fixes most of the issues with the game

  11. man they're doing me so fucking dirty with this. I bought a game and was delivered like 20% of promises I was given despite years and years of support. Now promised DLCs and continued support for the console I can afford is down the toilet. I will NEVER buy another CD game. Absolutely fuck them 10000% to the moon and back.

  12. I played Cyberpunk on PC at launch and it was buggy but i managed to get through it without too much trouble and I loved it to bits, still do. You can spend hours wandering around the city finding all sorts of areas that are just cool to explore even if they don't have anything game play wise going on. The city itself has so much potential that will never get realized… unless modders realize it.
So my dream mod? I just want more. More everything. Anything that will add more things to play through like quest mods or keeps the gameplay fresh after 500+ hours.
Am I shitty about there not being a second expansion? Absolutely. But whether continuing to try to rebuild faith with a second expansion or cut their losses and start fresh will turn out to be the right move only time will truly tell. (Or maybe cutting and running is the better call and they'll still fail spectacularly, who knows.)

  13. They never should have even tried to release on last gen consoles, IMO. I'd bet a lot of money that this was a major cause of the delays and seriously hurt development of the game.

  14. The bog problem for cd is that the game has killed pretty much all good will they had and it was all down to choices they did not have to make.
It think your theory about it being hampered across the 2 gens and the vast power difference/abilities of the consols.

As for the move to unreal engine defiantly the landscape of night city is the bigger winner of the 2 franchises as straight away that is an obvious boon it will be interesting to see how they choose to apply it to the withcer i would hope for a bit more variaty to the combat options and maybe some sort of monster swarm type encounters spring to mind as well.

Really though if they are only now planning to do a dlc they are really going to have to nail that dlc and the next launch will need to be good or else people will not have any faith it will get fixed even over time as they have then started to shown less commitment to long term support.

  15. They're marketing this new dlc just like they did for base game. Night City Wrie's, more wild promises from the devs to actually fix the police system and add car to car shootouts. Yes these are wild promises compared to where this game launched. This gives me buyer's ptsd and there's no way I'm buying the new dlc without a 90% discount AND verification from dozens of other players that it isn't buggy af after what they sold me two years ago. Also as many have told you, the mod tools aren't exactly great. They need to release the kit like Bethesda does or this game finally dies two weeks after the dlc is released.

  16. Maybe this is just me being an Elder Millenial, remembering the n64/ps2/xbox days, but it seems like we're getting new consoles years before they are worth making/buying. I just don't see that much of a difference with the new consoles – not enough for the price tag, anyway. They look nice, but they feel like an intermittent pc upgrade rather than a whole new generation of gaming.

  17. Welp. I got this game on PS4 Pro and I swear it runs worse now than when it did on launch. Looks like that's never going to improve. -_- Definitely not about to give them more money for a pc version lol.

  18. People forget that Destiny did this exact same thing.

In short: get a pc and you’ll be good for gaming 3 generations for 2/3rds of the price with no upgrades.

They should crowd source arcade games to put in CP77.

    Also would love 2P co-op.

  19. No such thing as missing out on cyberpunk content because at the end of the day you can still cloud stream it on whatever garbage device you have even if you are a broke motherfucker. This channel is trying to create fomo with Cyberpunk for players with old ass consoles that don't even matter anymore and could barely keep up with pcs in the first place.

  20. 1080 p 144 hz is still good graphics tech. Gaming companies are getting too in line with the technology. Most people can't even afford the current gen before the previous one has been phased out. Stuff needs to slow for a bit.

  21. So I bought all 3 Witcher games because of the Netflix show. I was soooooo not disappointed they were so good. Certainly I couldn't finish the first one because I couldn't get over the controls lol

  22. Hey guys, i am Co-lead of 3D with Fallout London. Not too sure where we gave the impression that some of our members being hired by Betheseda caused delays. The former members would pass on their respective role to another member, the transition is very smooth. Please, if you wish to have some news about the project we encourage discussion. Just reach out to us, and we would be happy to talk. Cheers!

  23. do you really think they would have made any good money from releasing it on PC and PS 5 series X?
they made a massive amount of money from the lastgen consoles.
thats why they released the game for it.

they just should have gotten ealier onto optimization for the lastgen version or hired a team for porting it.
there are even studios who specialize in porting.

getting rid of the lastgen version would have been just not an option.
