More info about the Konpeki Charlie Foxtrot is always welcomed.
Arasaka was an inside job
love your videos brother… recently been doing Permadeath Melee Only Runs (Nehan and Satori + Scalpel) on Very Hard and I'm thoroughly enjoying your content as a supplementary source whilst digging through the game itself. Passed up 800 hours recently and have all achievements but there is STILL so much content I've yet to discover within the game's nooks and crannies. Keep up the hard work man, I know these videos take lots of hard work and time and I just want to say thank you.
Yeah, learned a couple things i did not consider, thanks.
Great videos👍
That’s interesting but I always thought Watson was locked down because of that child killer/ kidnapper that you get rivers brother back from in rivers mission ?
As for netwatch I would think that the ncpd would have allowed them to enter with little fuss as it appears in the game that netwatch seem to be feared amount all including the nusa.
And yea I agree I don’t know whose worse dex or Roslyn as loyalty is ment to be held in high regard in the afterlife and dex was anything but loyal.
Anyway you made an interesting vid thank you and a side question would you like to see the Atlantis club be revived?
you can do akulove gig before the heist and even kill him before the heist
“Babe! Relaxed dropped a video……”
also I think it makes sense that yorinobo invites Evelyn to kenbakie instead of going to clouds because he doesn't want the tiger claws spying on him
i think Yori liked eve so much because he suspected her intelligence and cunning, maybe even her ambition for the chip. After all it doesn't matter whos hands it's in if it isn't in Arasaka's hands
My theory on Dex and T-Bug is that they were going to use you as and Jackie as patsies. T-Bug was going to get your shares and have enough money to retire to one of her Greek islands.
Taking part in the Konpeki plaza caper is definitely Vincent's/Valerie's biggest mistake.
One thing I haven't seen mentioned (perhaps covered in another video?) is: How do we know Yorinobu is selling the Relic to Netwatch? Well that's easy, right? Evelyn tells V this when they first meet. Except… Evelyn isn't exactly trustworthy. She's planning to scam the Voodoo boys, betray Yorinobu, asks V to haze Dex, probably would have betrayed V and Jackie, if they got that far. Now, in Walk the Line, when you encounter the Netwatch agent Brent Mosley, you can kill him or otherwise incapacitate him (and the Voodoos then kill him, a bunch of Netwatch agents, and try to kill V). After this, you can poke around in Brent's computer. And guess what you find? An email from Evelyn Parker to Netwatch, offering to sell them the Relic. So maybe Yorinobu never planned to sell it to Netwatch (or there could be another email to support this, but don't remember). Maybe his reason for stealing it is simply knowing what Saburo intended to do with it, i.e. wipe Yorinobu and move into his body. Not sure what his endgame would be, since they can always make more… Just having it with threat of the tech getting out of Arasaka. Could he have intended to kill Saburo from the beginning, and this was a good way to lure him out? Not sure if this is a reasonable plan, but if it was, it worked. Also, why did Netwatch want this particular Relic? Same reason the Voodoo Boys did: Use Johnny's engram to lure Alt out from behind the Blackwall, except Netwatch wanted to cage or destroy her.
Anyway… Imagine if Jackie left the Relic in his own head? He'd be the hero, with Johnny as his sidekick, and V would rot in a landfill.
The good thing about completing the Devil ending once is you never have to do it again. And can just destroy Arasaka. Panam is best girl it's no debate and her ending is the best and then DFTR.
Heist would've went better if Rogue or Hands were the fixer. But maybe with Hands Jackie would've still died because of the warning about "Deep Reds".
More than likely, Dex promised T-Bug, V, and Jackie's cut if she zeroed them.
I think the reason why Yorinobu did what he did was, because stealing biochip wasn't the end goal. In fact, it was just bait.
Bait for his father. He didn't kill him in spur of the moment, he premeditated all of it.
The talk to Evelyn, too much information, having Smasher by his side, speech after his dad's death, putting Smasher into position of power as his loyal hound dog. I think even "trying to sell Relic to NetWatch" was the bait, for Voodoo Boys.
Essentially he banked that SOMEONE will attempt to steal the thing, and after killing his father, he could blame both that and the Relic disappearance on some rogue element. Mind you, he didn't need concrete proof – in fact, he needed just the "attempt" to steal the relic – that is the reason he sent assassins after Goro, who in his over-zealousness tried to find the "killer". He could've ruined it – the identity of "killers" should have never been known by other 'saka corpos.
I don't think Yorinobu had a plan. I think he was being a Joker style agent of Chaos. He grabbed the chip knowing Anderson would squeal and his father would get directly involved. He called in Netwatch which is the most competent and driven corporation who also wanted the chip. He used Evelyn to get the info about the chip on the street. And then he waited to see the chaos these three storm fronts colliding would produce and in all but one ending he gets what he wants: Arasaka if not dead, badly damaged.
