Cyberpunk 2077: Immersion is Everything [Video Essay]

This is my first video essay in what I’m hoping will be a new series of them coming in 2021. Three months into the new year and Cyberpunk 2077 continues to be one of the most titillating video game releases in recent memory. Was immersion-breaking bugs and glitches the sole culprit or are we overlooking something from past troubled launches?

  1. Amen. The developers created something of beauty here, with one of the best stories, some of the best ambient music, most real feeling characters, and an amazing ambiance and setting. It is a shame that it was rushed out buggy and that the marketing over-hyped it making it harder for people to enjoy it on its own terms where it really shines. The devs should be proud of what they accomplished in this game. I hope that in 2 years I can boot up the 'full' version with all the DLC, play through again with less glitches, and enjoy the real ending that gives some hope for V to live after what they have overcome.

  2. Brother please…my immersion was broken when I booted the game up and in the opening cinematic the old Cybercowboy was and still is as I type this twerking at 15fps. This product is a pile of trash in every conceivable way. 7 million from there country to develop in game AI??? That must have went to keeanu. Cyberjunk 1907 is unpatchable on the hardware they sold it to me on. No mans sky didn't have a 314 million dollar budget that comparison was dead out the gate. This was the worse game I've ever purchased or played on console in 31 years of gaming hands down. I didn't have any interest in the witcher series and at this point I will never glance at another product from this deceitful company.
