I hope they also include gang overhauls. At least gang car chases.
Btw I found you a few days back and love your stuff. You love the game, and see it's potential, but you are still critical and expecting quality.
They definitly needs to be more than just police car chases. I am expecting bribing and street cred having an impact on the policing.
Odds are the update will come out within a two month period from now or during phantom liberty since it’s been around 6 months since the last major update. Outside the constant updates for QA on the test branch mimicking the sudden release of big updates like edgerunners, it would make sense to drop 1.7 to get the core systems in the game before phantom liberty drops that way it’s core issues and problem might addressed in the dlc update. Also it would get players interested back into the game which could lead to more people getting the expansion due to hype. IMO odds are it’s sooner rather than later since I feel Phantom liberty is at least within q2 or q3 this year. Last thing there are mods that add police chases to the game alongside AVs dropping troops which were coded into the game but were bugged/non fully complete just in case anyone is curious.
Chances are the update will come in about a month or two if previous update trends are something to go by, however something I forgot about is the fact they will be releasing the GrowlFM winners by at least the 31st (as per their own contest rules they have to). This would probably be a great time to show off another trailer for Phantom Liberty and maybe just maybe a tease of the update.
On another note I recently found out the beta key to unlock cyberpunk's NVIDIA press build with dlss3 was leaked a while back (code is "F17WZy1H6rWVyujz"). I was hopeful this might have some secrets due to the fact this build was last updated about 12 days ago but sadly it seems to be just 1.61 with dlss3 as an option.

I dont know why the police being non invasive in ur gameplay is a bad thing.. do u really wanna have to stop what ur doing to lose the police after accidentally hitting a pedestrian? Be careful what y’all wish for is all I’m saying ..
