edit: 4K/60 finally processed!
As always, game capture is recorded externally and doesn't impact the framerate you see.
Also: ray tracing can't be enabled on AMD RX 6000 cards just yet, but is expected soon.
Enjoy!
looks like its time to buy a new PC when the stock comes in over the next few months.
In the meantime, I'll just game on my potato 1080ti and 8700k.
I suddenly feel a sense of empathy for people who cant upgrade their card whenever a new game is released.
I wonder if the 6800 xt would’ve outperformed the 3080 at 1080p since the 6900 xt beat the 3090
@9:55 Made it clear to me that I need to upgrade my CPU. I have a 3070 and in that Watson city area I'm heavily CPU bound at around 47-60 fps while you are getting as high as 100 fps. The old i7-6700 has given it her all the last 4 years.
Do not buy this buggy blurry game. Graphics are fallout 4 Unless you have a brand new 3grand Comp that is
my 2070 super is struggling like never before on 1440p with this game, but even with med/low settings and dlss balanced, I can get a playable 70/80 fps most of the time. I have noticed that in more crowded areas like the Japanmarket my fps will drop considerably (40/50%) at least I know its because im cpu bound
Crysis has left the chat
Considering recent events, it would be good for everyone if every video henceforth would include a disclaimer detailing where the hardware was obtained, similar to what ACG does with his games. Since NVIDIA is now extorting reviewers, people watching have the right to know if this hardware was provided by a retailer of by NVIDIA or AMD.
This becomes even more relevant when the video clearly overstates the benefits of DLSS which works poorly at resolutions below 4K and produces jarring visual artifacts. Even at quality 1080p the effect is underwhelming due to the lower internal resolution of the rendered effects which results in having to use more taxing settings in options like Volumetric fog for the image to keep up with the quality of native rendering resolution. This is even more serious when the video ignores FielityFX CAS static that was the saving grace of many Pascal users.
Where is the 3060ti in stock?!?! I had to buy mine on ebay for 650 after camping the refresh button on Newegg for three days straight. I would get notifications when stock returned, and by the time I heard the alert, opened the email, and clicked the product link it was sold out. This happened multiple times, so I just gave up and paid the scalper's ransom.
I am playing with a GTX1080 at 1440p, high settings at arround 30fps… absolute no problem with that. (But updating asap to a RTX3080)
I get between 45 – 65fps on my ROG GTX 1080
i need to learn more about this stuff. i just run all my games at whatever geforce experience recommends as optimized . I didnt realize you could get almost 100 fps on this game mine stays around 35-40 fps on a 2070 non-super
Why so many tech channels are now making videos just on dlss and raytracing? This is what nvidia demanded from hardware unboxed to do and boycotted them when they said that real performance from the hardware gpu is more important. I just wonder if nvidia's marketing department asked for this video…
I'm putting my 2060super through the ultimate trial by trying to stream this game with RTX on.
i have the dumbest question but how do you get a gpu to play a game using the entire screen like a full window at different resolutions without just changing monitors like from 1440 to 1080, like i try to set my csgo to play at 1080 and changing resolution in nvidia settings and the game itself just makes my screen smaller so like how do people just lower resolution to get faster framerate but still play in a full screen.
Could have been more objective. In many cases where u use RT its not mentioned if dlss is on or off.
I have an RTX 2060 and you can run the game with Medium Ray Tracing at 60 FPS, but there are parts of the game that lag quite a bit. But once Ray Tracing is turned off the game runs perfectly with Vsync and DLSS Quality
How are you getting 100 fps with just DLSS balanced in the city with a 3060 ti? I'm running a 2080 super and i'm dropping to like low to mid 40s at some point!
This channel is so underrated.
@optimumtech great video! What do you use for creating graphs? They look very minimalistic and to the point. Whenever I create my graphs in Excel, the bars are always massive and the text portion is very crammed on the side. Do you use something else?
Why is nobody talking about cpu bottlenecks in this game? In 1440p ultra with a 10700k and 3080 i bottleneck like crazy when there are a lot of npc in an area and lowering the settings makes it even worse especially dlls since it renders at a lower resolution
