  1. I have to commend CDPR for the improvements made since launch but the game still does not have New Game Plus and the expansion still has not released whereas No Man's Sky has come out with multiple updates, Expeditions, new ships, new tools, more biomes, graphical improvements and also supports VR. Their dedication to improve their game has not gone unnoticed.

  2. Cyberpunk deserved that win also Sheppard would win hands down V has some cool stuff and is a good street merc but seveerly lacking in the actual combat training department and Sheppard is a trained soldier with far more advanced weapons and armor as well as energy shields also basically killed a race of machine gods in one timeline

  3. Cyberpunk is great. I didn’t even have bugs at launch on pc but without edgerunners i doubt we’d see the support from the devs or community.

Regardless though NMS deserves this award by far. I’m sorry but this is indisputable.

  4. cyberpunk fail is because of over hype plus keuna character over shadow v plus to mush of jhonny missing daillog and dialog that just seems to cut off mid dialog pushing a character who muder ppl just because he does not like corpo pushing heavy metal I point to the afterlife bar plus you hear radios playing heavy metal no ability to rest gigs and ncpd hustles or rest builds fully you dnt even get payment for every quest the pay even sucks not able to skip the hesit not able to have a different outcome to the heists like killing dex now let's look bk at the updates the only update that really helped cyberpunk was update 1.50 the ones before it just bugg fixes witch did nothing now update 1.60 witch added 4 guns a jacket 3 gigs more options to change v at rip dock then took away most outfits to make ppl like open word games with a supid transmog system when the game has no real points to keep players playing oyea not even new game plus so you tell me should cdpr really be working on cyberpunk 2 or actually fucking fix the one they got there game engine witch they coded to blame red engine is to say building a game engine is over are heads all most for got no real choices for game end game you just reloaded a save really no point endings my opinion is yes yes cdpr should support this game instead of making a new one on a untested game engine like unreal 5 there's no poof that unreal engine 5 even fully works I see cdpr got hype off of a video showing cyberpunk running on unreal engine 5 so they jump to saying they are making cyberpunk on unreal engine 5 just because of a hype video iam telling you cyberpunk 2 will be in the same place as cyberpunk 1 because of playstation life span witch is 5 to 7 years so do the math if cdpr takes over 5 years do you really think ps5 will sill be as powerful

  5. CP is a labor of love. One glitchy boi, yes, but saying it didn't took blood, sweat and tears, that people woking on it didn't pour love into it is insane. You only need to play it for an hour to see how much love and care is there. Dev team and artists are not one's who let us down. It's corpo suits, as always. But all army of people who put their heart into deserves that award and I see it as their award. Not award for execs. And I'm happy for them, because you can see that love on the screen. I really hope we will get support beyond 1.7 and PL, because that game can stiill be so much more.

  6. I love CP2077. I played 130 hours of it. I only played NMS for about 2-3 hours, didn’t really enjoy it. With that being said, even I think NMS deserves the award lol I saw all the free updates NMS has released, it’s so much more than CP2077.

  7. Should have been NMS. Its NMS for me through and through. What a 180, they did. I had NMS since launch and played 3hours then didnt touch it till the major update then put over 300 hours on it. NMS is the winner.

  8. I mean, no mans sky really hasnt done that much in recent years, cyberpunk went from basically unplayable to a heavy hitter in a few years. No mans sky still isnt even fun lol. No ship interiors after years and years, still only tiny and giant ships, no in between, shi like that. Combat is still terrible, runs like shit, looks pretty bad too. It still has a longggg way to go to ever interest a lot of people. Its comr a long way but is still missing tons of things to be a fun game

  9. No man’s sky had a similar launch to Cyberpunk. I bet they came in a very close 2nd. To be angry at Cyberpunk winning actually diminishes No Man’s Sky’s effort. I agree that NMS deserves it, but they both deserved it.

  10. Well look, the community voted. It's not like there were a panel of judges who decided so there's nothing to complain about. Personally I think No Man's Sky deserved it more, but then again Cyberpunk 2077 would have been game of the year if they didn't mess up the launch so badly, so at least it's something for them. On the bright side, perhaps this will convince them to continue to have a dedicated team on it until the sequel.

  11. I do think "No Man's Sky" deserves recognition like "Went Into Total Beast Mode" Award or something. I would like to see CB77 to have constant continued support (still waiting on the Brain Dance rental shop and more arcade games that are playable), but just throwing it out there (for the 100th time) if CB77 had console mod support then the game will always be supported and updated without CDPR having to spend more money on it and move onto something else.
As far as "Shepard" vs fully upgraded "V", you do realise that Shepard can also be fully upgraded with tech and biotics abilities making him an overpowerd circuit frying, forcing welding cyclone with a razor cutting omni-blade and hauling a bunch of armour piecing weapons on his back
("oh yeah, forgot to mention Shepard has recharging Geth enhanced shields too")

  12. I've said it before and I'll say it again. If it were not for fans constantly rushing CDPR they probably would not have released it the way it was. In a way them releasing it when they did was them saying "Ok if you guys really think its ready try playing it now and tell us what you think!" People were rushing the devs and in response it was released like that. I'm just happy they kept working on it and its now a very great game on next gen/PC. PS4 and Xbox One are still abysmal and has too many bugs(At least ps4 as I own the PS4 version and series x Not the Xbox One)

  13. I love cp77 and never even played no man's sky cuz I'm not into the extremely sci fi games but I honestly think from all I've seen they probably deserved it but I must say one thing, cyberpunk has gone a long way for the mess it was and the amount of time compared to no man's sky, I been no man's sky is much older and were those expansions not free no one would even be talking shit, plus cyberpunk is just the more interesting game

  15. To me cyberpunk definitely deserved this award. Sorry nms and drg players but for all the things wrong with cyberpunk at release and then to now, the devs really gave it their all. I'm not gonna lie cyberpunk has a good while until its fully done, but from what the devs were able to do in the last couple years, while dealing with so much hate from people, they deserved this. I mean this award is decided by us the players, and going against nms really means people loved and followed in cyberpunk.

  16. No man's sky earned that more so than cyberpunk for now, though over a longer period of time. I would bet Cyberpunk won due to recency bias. That basically means cyberpunk is much fresher in people's minds if anyone doesn't know. Though if a game is old and popular enough, the opposite effect can occur due to rose tinted glasses where people forget about the flaws. The games falling in between beloved classics and popular recent titles, get totally shafted.

  17. I'm sorry but no matter how many bugs they fix, or slight features they add in, this game will never be what they promised.
The only way they could truly fix this game, is if they completely overhall every single quest and give them actual choices and different paths and endings that matter and effect the whole the game.

This game was supposed to be the ultimate RPG and it's not even 10% as in depth as they promised

  18. As CDPR has the official potion of "You get one paid DLC after we get the game out of the paid testing phase." I vote No man Sky should have one. I pre-ordered Cyberpunk 2077 and have not played NMS myself, but they definitely seem to love their game and community more.

  19. See now the problem was, fucking cyberpunk should've never released on last gen consoles, it probably would've had a better launch due to it not being restricted by crappy hardware.

  20. I think it's pretty obvious that if the Developers of a game get mad because they didn't get a trophy for all of the hard work that they did, then it's not really a labor of love rather, a love of trophies.

  21. They rush it on cyber punk and took them fuckin 2 years to release next gen graphics, and more updates, but they should of release the game in 2023 instead of releasing it in 2020. The reason I say this because all the people who are raging now are the ones who already beat the game in 2020 with ps4 graphics instead of the next gen graphics. They wanted all this in 2020.

  22. Cyberpunk 2077 did not deserve this award. It came out shitty, it is now LESS shitty. They in no way delivered what they promised us.

No Man's Sky came out shitty, and then they spent the next 7 YEARS making it what they originally promised and then SO MUCH MORE (AT NO EXTRA COST, might I add)!!!

This is the same bullshit as the fucking HORRID Hitman 3 VR getting VR GOTY. Not a SINGLE PERSON liked the god-awful VR support that Hitman 3 got.

Steam needs to get their shit together.
