You guys have asked for it and I am finally delivering it. I (the cyberpunk 2077 fan) am finally playing the witcher 3 for the very first time. I am excited and honored to be playing this game and I can’t wait to get part 2 out for everyone as well. If you guys have any tips, tricks or whatever, then please be sure to leave it in the comment section down below as it will help me a lot because, I need all the help I can get. Thank you so much.

try to do a lot of exploring and side quests they are very fun in this game
I can recommend getting more dialogue, it gets you familiar with the world and the vibe.
Some lore: the game starts in White Orchard a village in the country of Temeria, which is currently under Nilfgaardian occupation.
This is the third time Nilfgaard invaded the northern kingdoms, and this invasion has been the most successful. Only the lands north of river Pontar, namely the kingdoms of Redania and Kaedwen (both under the rule of king Radovid the stern) are still independant from Nilfgaardian influence.
Witchers are mutated using magic to gain superhuman strength, speed and senses, they are trained and mutated for the purpose of hunting monsters. No new witchers have been created since the Witcher fortress in Kaer Morhen was destroyed.
Supersticion says witchers cant feel human emotion, but its just talk.
Society in general is feudal, medieval and highly devided by class. People dont always say the truth, they might lie, they might be incorrect, they might be under the wrong impression. But in general humans, just as in real life, dont always tell the truth.
Very nice video, love your reactions! I'm not sure if you got it, so I wanted to explain that Nilfgaardians (The Black Ones) are the aggressors in the war and are taking a lot of land from Temeria and other Northern Kingdoms, so siding with them doesn't look the best in my opinion, but of course the choice is yours.
Also learn to play Gwent – the card game, it's just really fun 🙂
slow down, read all, use all nongold dialog options, raise difficulty if you can, it will force you to use alchemy/spells properly. When speaking with/about Ciri choose good daddy answers. Otherwise you are good, stay curious, dont you dare to go hollow!
books and 2 games before this. don't skip side missions can't go back after a certain point
I can’t wait for this guy to run into Gaunter O Dimm again
You really don't need to rush with this game and cut the exploration off the video, people will watch it anyway. Side quests, exploration, talking to characters about everything – it will get you into the world of the Witcher really fast. The world building in this game is amazing. Do not feel pressured to read Witcher books or watching series (the Netflix seris are… I guess you can call them questionable), the game actually explains everything even if you're not familiar with the lore.
In the words of Tychus – "Hell, it's about time"
my goat
#1. You have two swords for a reason. One is for magical beings and other for normal. Learn when use which.
#2. Potions. Make, learn how to use. Same with bombs. Have dome food in quickslots – they help with health during fights.
#3. Weapon oils – they are helpful. Use database to know what one to use.
#4. You have a database about monsters. Use it. Learn how beat diffrent oponents. Their weakspots and immunites.
#5. It is a fictional world based on slavic culture. Very diffrent from what you know. Learn as much lore as possible cos it is worth it. Its history, politics, background. It is like a traveling to some other place. And no – it is no politically correct and it is very brutal. It is no fairy tale at all (except for "Blood and Wine" – it is one, dark one).
#6. You wish you never meet that ex mirror merchant. He is not what he says. Not at all.
#7. There are easter eggs everywere. Moreover – most people you meet/interact. They will appear later. With some history in between. Sometimes way you interact with them will make a diffrence. Choices you make will influence later game. Close some opurtunites and open other. Sometimes a big time (for example what allies you`ll have in final battle).
#8. Use a map. It shows places you might be interested in. But sometimes you need to be at some level to stand a chance with some monsters/quests. Before that you just fail and fail again. Moreover, there are monsters that even if you maxed out will be huge challenge.
#9. Signs – they are important. Not only fire or shield but for example traps. They could be bane of invisible opponents. Learn tactics of using them.
#10. Loot dead bodies. Even animals. Sometimes it is worth it.
#11. Explore areas more. Talk to NPC`s. Not only for lore but sometimes they might be useful for you. Useful services, quests, knowledge. This is open world RPG game. Interact, look around not simply plough thtough. Game rewards that.
choose answers wisdoom ore you will have the bad ending)
Helluva ride ahead of you 😁
You've got a new subscriber but I'd try to focus more on the cut scenes. You're losing a lot of the context.
You can chose quick sign casting in the settings, makes it way easier to cast signs without the wheel, they thought of better controls with the next Gen update
Change your camera to different corner to show us minimap
Can’t wait for the rest of this series :). I’ve been listening to the audio books of the Witcher at work lately and have been enjoying them a lot, I would definitely recommend
The Queen sign is your best friend in every fight, try and use it more.
The Witcher 3, a simulator of an Eastern European migrant (or a Ukrainian migrant in Eastern Europe)
What lvl are you playing? Just the story? Or story and sword? Game seem very forgiving lol
THIS is the real masterpiece by cdpr, for me, cyberpunk was good, but not amazing. Witcher 3….. Was actually breathtaking
Yo man, it's so cool to see you doing this Let's Play. FYI, I'm kind of addicted to watching people pop their cherry in Witcher 3. Don't judge me. Living vicariously through you Witcher Virgins is a guilty pleasure and it feels good. Especially when you pay attention and explore all options. Mm mm mmmm. So good.
If I may, I would like to give you some minor tips for White Orchard, the first one would be to take your damn time. I mean it, take your merry bloody time and explore everywhere. There is a message board with some side quests and some random quests to be discovered throughout this area, there are also 5 Places of power to be discovered. (one of each sign power and each POP will give you an additional skill point)
The thing you must keep in mind is that this area (White Orchard) is but merely the tutorial area, it's sole intention is to introduce you to all the basic game mechanics and game features you will need to succeed. Oh, and say G'day to Tomira for me. 😉 BTW, She also buys Honey at a good price as well. Keep an ear out for the buzzing Bees and then use Ignii on the hives to bring them to the ground to collect the Honey.
Some other minor tips: Don't waste your money on buying food. Use the Aard sign to kill Rabbits to get raw meat. You can also kill other small animals like geese in the same way. Deer and pigs can also be attacked for meat.
Loot, loot, loot ever container in every unlocked hut, and loot every single body you drop.
Also, there are many moss covered fallen logs and tree stumps around the world that often have coin in them. Stashed by soldiers who didn't make it back to reclaim their bounty.
Edit: Combat is much easier from the wider angled field of view. (in the options) I'd suggest non combat exploration (weapon undrawn) at the close view and combat (when you draw your weapon) at the wider view. On Horseback you are also better off having the wide angle as well. You just see more, you dig?
Please rake your time with this. Just as so with cyberpunk, some of the best parts of the games are in the sidequests and optional dialogue.
Everyone watching a CDPR game let's play already in it for the long run
In the map, press the right and left dpad.. it changes what you see, you're missing all the point of interest as it is now
Vesemir had told you previously that the Northern Realms are "our side" and our ally. (Temeria = Good – Nilfgaard = Bad)
That Archer that you chased down and then turned into the Nilfgaardian Army was a Temerian soldier. ie. He was a Northern Realms ally. You fucked that one up, sunshine. So pay more attention in the future, mate.
Remember that this entire area of White Orchard is a tutorial area. Explore everywhere and do everything available to you. There are many benefits to exploring every inch of White Orchard.
Up your difficulty as well. DeathMarch has been how I've always played the game from its release 10 years ago, but I enjoy a challenge.
Blood and Broken Bones should be the default difficulty for newbies. Otherwise the game is too easy.
Edit: You should always select and exhaust all the grey dialogue options before you select the golden ones. And hell yeah, do all the sidequests.
Jesus! You showed some promise but you fucked up hardcore. You missed so much content in White Orchard.
Oh well, I'll keep looking for a worthy Lets Play.
fun vid! Since others have, I'll add my 2 cents: 1. Hopefully you've figured out which of Geralt's two swords to use and when. 2. The invading Nilfgaard emperor is bad, but the northern kings can be total a-holes too. Feel free to choose sides however you see fit. p.s. Remember in CP2077 there were ads/billboards for something called "MilfGuard"? Those CDPR guys are too funny. 🤣
1:01:42 in the bottom left where it says default… I highly recommend switching it to “All”
*Sorry my english isn't very good but i will try my best
1. Do not skip any tutorial
2. If you speak with someone try every options (if it's marked with aksji sign use it)
3. Take a look around there is many interesting places that aren't marked on your map
4. Alchemy is very VERY important – healing potions and oils give you advantage during battles. Also boombs – they can destroy monsters nests that gives you many unique and interesting items
5. Red barrels can explode – do not cast igni near them
6. Side quests is quintessence of this game, some of them are important, other not so – it means, enjoy the game not rush it.
7. Day and night – some monsters are more aggressive during night, they can change tactics, they are stronger so be carefull.
8. If you take a contract take as many informations of the monster as you can before encounter, in bestiary you can find many informations that can help for example which sign is more powerfull, what oil you need to craft, etc.
Enjoy the ride, best game ever mate 😉
Don't ignore the side quests – they are the MOST IMPORTANT in this game (read the message boards). In cyberpunk, they're just nothing compared to The Witcher. And learn how to play Gwent (there will be a story quest).
You've been given a lot of advice, I'll give you one: take your time, side quests are essential, you can always go back to some place and e.g. eavesdrop on what the NPCs are saying, then you'll find out what the consequences of your choices were, or you'll find someone you saved working on the field 😉 This game is huge and still not all the secrets have been discovered. PS. Gwent is great
Realy not the smartest move to turn of the tutorials at the beginning of a new game^^. Pro tipp. Play cards with the merchants, traders or important characters and win. Maybe you will thank me for that later. Do the Sidequests. At some point in game you won´t be able to come back. There is a warning but if you feel the need to work through all the sidequests later its not that much fun.
In the map you can change setting to all. that way map will show question marks. Side quests in this game are great so I recommend doing them all. I would also recommend reading entries about characters.
Cant wait, hope you have a wonderful Journey.
1:19:00 Dude speaks about not missing side content while literally walking past side quest xD
Nice video
and this is why you read the tutorials
42:59 did this guy got killed by the horse?? First time I see this
The winds have started howling.
Make sure to look at the notice boards you find across the world you missed one in White Orchard but its fine, they contain monster contracts and side quests
@V2 59:30 To be clear… Temeria (with few other countries) is part of Northenr Kingdoms and right now it's occupied by Nilfgard (Black Ones – from their black armors and banners) expansive empire of the south. So technically you sold ex-soldier now rebel who tried to fight invaders… while Geralt is from Northern Kingdoms too… that's why he treated you as traitor 🙂
