  1. I'm saving time tomorrow because I consider him a friend and I like him. I don't leave people behind. If he decides to end his own life, (the grumpy bastard) then that's his call to make. But at least he's in charge of his own destiny. Not me.

  2. The video neglects to cover the conversations and text messages you share with Goro during and after the mission where you reconnoiter the facility housing the floats. You can get one step away from Takemura being a love interest in the text messages. It would've been nice if some/any of the endings had reflected this detail. The "worst ending" could even be viewed as Takemura trying to convince someone he truly cares about to take the only option that would allow him to ever see them again. Obviously it doesn't get framed quite this way, which sucks. In all honesty, considering how much less screen time he gets, V's relationship with Takemura can be almost as dynamic as V's relationship with Johnny.

  3. I'm making an argument about him just basically doing it solely for arisaka which is it is true but to say that he does not care for V. That is not true either at the beginning however it is. However at the end if you choose the demon ending and then choose to not have your conscious uploaded and you save that man. You will have genuine concern about the choice that you made about going back to Earth and dying with in 6 months. And he will even leave you a voice message stating that he's sort of misses you and wishes that you were around in his own way of course. But yes throughout the entire game he still just sees you as evidence that he's growing a fondness for. Ultimately though personally I still let him die after my second and third and fourth playthrough.

  4. Despite cdpr throwing the word samurai around literally everywhere they don't understand what it really means and the people who play this game don't ether because if you really knew what a samurai is you would know that takemura is the closest thing to a real samurai in the game he's not a corporate dog he's a samurai arasaka his clan and saburo his daimyo

  5. Devil end did sell any of ur friends, u just didn’t ask any of them to help u. And the reason Goro cursed is because if u choose other path, u destroyed Arawaka, second time of his life. For him u destroyed his life goal and purpose, again. Anyone will curse, much worse ways.

  6. I don't hate Goro for this, he is who he is and his loyalties are already known; I'm not surprised by how he treats us either way by the end of the game.

Tell me if i'm missing something here since it's been a while since i've played but, to play devil's advocate here sure signing that contract is signing your soul away, but if they really wanted your soul they would/could have taken it forcefully; Instead if you refuse they just let you go.

  7. Not to mention by the end of it V is one of if not the best merc around the world akin to the likes of morgan black hand and adam smasher. And arasaka juat loat its top operative at the hands of v. I am sure they wouldwant an adam smasher on demand.

  8. I always saved Goro as a due paid as he saved V. Him killing himself at the end is similar to the choice that Hellman gives V, it lets Goro decide his fate rather than another person deciding it for you. But then I remember that Goro didn’t actually save our life he just didn’t kill us, cause it was actually Johnny who saved us from death.

  9. Yea there's no reason to save him but at the same time how is he any different from V? They both follow blindly their purpose & what they think is right, if V wasn't stealing from one of the biggest companies in the world, Takemura wouldn't have had to go through all this, he wouldn't even be chased after. Plus hes not the sensitive type, he shows respect in his own way, hes like this father who doesn't tell his son he cares abt him bluntly

  10. loved this video. Initially I liked takemura because he was a bit of a badass, but you reminded me that if I want to be more like takemura, then I should care less about Takemura lol

  11. Agree 100% it is the absolute worst ending in the game. The thing that really depresses me, is it is the ending I most likely would pick in real life, lol.

I would also pick option A when Dex asks: "Would you rather live in peace as Mr. Nobody, die ripe, old and smelling slightly of urine? Or go down for all times in a blaze of glory, smelling near like posies, without seeing your thirtieth?"

  12. By saying "Don't save Goro (even if you could) because he's a corporate suit at heart", you are adopting a utilitarian stance that is at least as bad as the one you are complaining he has.
I will probably always save him, simply because I can, it doesn't have major downsides (different from i.e. the Pisces decision) and to thank him for saving V's life, no matter the reason he did it.

  13. I strongly disagree with your assessment of Takemura. I think you're oversimplifying it way too much.

Yeah, he's a dyed-in-the-wool Arasaka corpo who will do anything and everything to protect the family he was sworn to guard. He'll kill anyone in the way of that, and he might not even think about much else as being important in the slightest.

On the other hand, he's a deeply honor-driven man who proves multiple times that he's not some heartless machine like so many other corpos. He shows V more respect than anyone else you encounter in that part of the story, and he genuinely tries to help and follow through with his promise. He doesn't speak to V like some useless lackey to be thrown away after he's done, he speaks as if you truly have a common goal and a shared respect.

Man like that doesn't really have "friends," he has colleagues and allies. I think V is the closest thing he has to one outside of Arasaka, and that's something worth considering.
