An honest and in-depth review of Cyberpunk 2077, the new open world futuristic action adventure game created by CD Projekt Red.

The opinions given in this review are my own, and are not influenced in any way by third parties, including game developers or retailers.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a 2020 action role-playing video game developed and published by CD Projekt. The story takes place in Night City, an open world set in the Cyberpunk universe. Players assume the first-person perspective of a customisable mercenary known as V, who can acquire skills in hacking and machinery with options for melee and ranged combat.

The game was developed using the REDengine 4 by a team of around 500 people, exceeding the number that worked on the studio’s previous game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (2015). CD Projekt launched a new division in Wrocław, Poland, and partnered with Digital Scapes, Nvidia, QLOC, and Jali Research to aid the production. Cyberpunk creator Mike Pondsmith was a consultant, and actor Keanu Reeves has a starring role. The original score was led by Marcin Przybyłowicz, featuring the contributions of several licensed artists.

CD Projekt released Cyberpunk 2077 for PlayStation 4, Stadia, Windows, and Xbox One on 10 December 2020, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions planned to follow in 2021.

  1. The game is good but needs alot of features to become gold standard like the Witcher 3.

If they want gold standard, they will need to add the following:

    – gang reputation levelling system to integrate each gang in each district with gang wars and gang perks & benefits
    – expanded Jackie storyline (let us play out the 6 months before the Rescue)
    – expanded storylines for gangs in Santa Domingo, Pacifica and Heywood (this area was light on side gigs and storyline)
    – allow us to own new apartments, change our hairstyle and appearance in-game, own a vehicle garage to store our vehicles, allow for tattoos, more side activities (texas hold'em, blackjack, etc…)
    – better NPC behavior and more dialogue options
    – better police systems (car chases, and better spawning and reaction)

    – better vehicle handling
    – bulk sell items (not one click at a time)

  2. It took me approx 112h to complete everything apart from boxing missions and max out both level and street cred. Great game!
Also, played it all through on XBox One controller. Oh, and by the time I hit the endgame – I played mainly using pistols when it comes to firearms – my absolute max critical headshots could go even between 250-300k damage. The trick was picking the right perks and stacking +30% crit damage modifiers on all gear. Even when the crit was not at max, hitting anything anywhere on their body apart from the bosses was usually a one hit kill.

  3. 10/10 Skills and Attributes???
So I can unlock Implant Crafting(4x on different Slots), Craft Legendary Implants, and no longer receive EXP/Cred. because Suicide, drop Grenade, Cyber Psychosis, do not trigger the Game to reward the Player xD
You can punch NPCs on Level 20 the same as on level 1, maybe like reloading, a bit faster. Or you get spotted 0.05sec later.
It's all "Do more Damage", "Do X faster"…

I am not coherent with your assessment of the Game in any way.
They delivered a Movie-Game, interrupted by Travel to new Location, Button prompt, 1min Fight and 5min Loot Sections.
And they even fail on building any tension by their stupid decision to litter the Mission Areas with Loot, which contradicts any sense of time concerns EVER.
I bought the Worlds most ambitious Open-World RPG, not CoD Looter Shooter.
They learned nothing from Witcher 3, they made no effort to implement any of the Systems they talked about in their Presentations, and they could not even get this nothingness of a Game bug-free.

  5. This game is a lot of fun. It’s great even and hits points of what it’s aiming for at times. But it’s nowhere near what was promised. Still, I recommend buying it for PC
