If both are 1.04 then that also shows that this patch did break temporal reprojection on linux, there's a lot of ghosting 1:14 the light for example. That doesn't happen with 1.03.
Windows Wins !
It would be cool to show the ram usage too
super
Is it VKD3D or VKD3D-Proton?
~5 FPS difference, and lower CPU Usage in Linux, I can't imagine what it would be like if the game was in Vulkan and native.
How do you run this game, in Lutris or Steam?
go linux suck it windows
One of the most overhyped and boring games I've ever experienced. I am just glad I was able to return this trash and get my money back.
Holy cow!
I didn't expect this working day one, week one or even month one (since other DX12 games are still problematic), let alone with 90% perf of DX12.
Surely still has some hiccups but it's way better than expected.
Impressive! Very close to Windows
What game graphic settings? Also, try these settings: https://youtu.be/pC25ambD8vs
You showed the easiest to run parts of the game. i wonder how intense areas fare.
Looks like you are using Proton 5.13, please use Proton Experimental to get rid of the ugly visual glitches. It should also increase the performance a little bit over Proton 5.13
What this guys are doing is amazing, but CDPR should have used Vulkan instead(or release it with the option to change the api).
Thanks for the spoils.
Nice comparision, thanks!
I could bet that if you lower the quality a little bit… You can play at 60fps.
So in the end if your target is 60fps Linux is already perfect.
Nice video!
Nice to see Vulkan this far! Your game benchmarks are amazing, could you please compare WarThunder on Linux (native version) with DLSS (I have DLSS in options, but I don't own RTX GPU) vs WarThunder on Windows with DLSS?
1:22 ok FPS but terrible frametime?..
wow. and this is before the 5.11
Hi, very interesting you got this game to run on linux, considering is a bit messy as it is…
I do wonder how it will run after CD fix up the issues next year, if they actually do, which i do hope they do…
An excellent result considering that the game is not optimized. Make tests in a year.

Fun fact: DXVK works on windows with dx9, dx10, and dx11 and can even improve performance in some instances
Are you gonna do a Horizon Zero Dawn video?
try vkd3d in windows 8.1
unlike windows 7 and 10, it doesn't support windows dx12, vkd3d is the only way to run it
So not much difference. Good to see!
Awfull frametime on linux
Quite Impressive
Do you use debloated windows?
Cause in my opinion if it's the normal bloated windows,it isn't a fair comparison.
I mean I just wanna see Linux kill windows, but if it just kill bloated windows,it wouldn't be as cool as killing debloated windows.
Would you make video comparing Valheim please?
1% low metric doesn't make sense, considering frametime graph shows obvious frame pacing issues in linux, and 1% low can't be that high with those dips, while on windows DX12 it's basically flatine.
Impressive.
Did the new patches smooth out the frametimes three months later?
Im missing you. Everything OK?
Hey, can we get results for Escape from Tarkov? I heard it barely runs on Linux, I'm curious if you could make it work
Is there an in depth explanation how I can get it to run on Linux? I can run it via steam and proton but without steam I can't get it to run on standalone proton 🙁
testa com o gentoo xfce
can you try dxvk vs vkd3d in warframe?
Please come back
In VKD3D, I get black screen but the game sound comes, game is running, mangohud is working normally…. I don't know what's happening… Metro Exodus game…. for FSR, Im running prtonGe
